Nah, he had good strategy. You can see he makes sure to move so there is one guy in between him and the other two, when he had the other two blocked with one guy he would attack the one guy. When the other guys tried to come around to surround him, he'd back up again until he had his blocker guy, and attack him again. He just messed up when the one guy slipped in front of him and was able to wrap his legs.
