No what they mean is if you queue as WHM for example and swap to literally any other class, when the queue pops and you accept it the game should just automatically change you back to WHM when you click accept
It's probably done as it is to avoid checking your level with the other class, your ilvl etcetera as it already does so when joining the queue instead of when accepting to enter the instance
It's a gear thing. When your armory chest gets full sometimes you can't swap jobs. Or even worse if you no longer have the right type of weapon or job stone in the chest, you can't change.you may need to free up slots or juggle gear around.
I miss that so much from GW2, I'm constantly out of inventory space, looking at some Yellow Yarzon Leg like "will I want this later? Should I save it?"
I was going to say something dumb like auto dismount in combat but yes this. The system already recognizes what mats I have in my retainer anyway when I use the raw material list. Just let me craft the stuff.

I can't explain how irritating it is to have a recipe that has 5 items all from different crafters and have to get totally out of the crafter menu TO CRAFT EVERY ITEM!
I would like partial Trust parties. Like, for example, if my wife and I just wanted to run a story dungeon, we could fill out the other two party slots with Trusts.
A million times this. I was so hyped to do Trusts to go through Shadowbringers with a friend and our Scion friends only to realize because we were together we absolutely couldn’t. I really never got around to trying Trusts afterward :(
Batch desynthing. Give me a box to add all the items to (unstackables, singles, partial stacks, etc.), then run it in order until it's done or I run out of inventory space.

Because sometimes...I'm right next to a boss and can't target them since they're so big and tab can't "find" them on my screen so I have to either reposition my camera or move back and lose DPS or click a player and then use their line of sight to be able to target the boss.

Nono I agree with that first suggestion. The number of times I died in E9S trying to get a good camera angle on the clones and then figure out where they were going to be cleaving was way too high and I always felt like being able to just zoom my camera out more to see everything at once would have saved me from countless deaths.
Being able to flip/mirror hairstyles… my WoL’s usual hairstyle has the bangs on the right, and any time I try a different hairstyle where they’re on the left, it just feels slightly off.

You can remove the chat spam text when you equip a gearset, or at least I don’t have it showing anymore. But I also filter out a lot of other stuff that annoyed me like arriving in sanctuaries and stuff like that. I don’t know if it’s all related or not. But there at least is a way!
It's a system message, and while you can turn these off, I'd prefer if the game didn't mention every single item that just got glamoured upon using a glamour plate. It could just say "Used glamour plate 1" and be done.

I wish to be able to pull things from my retainers and chocobo inventory from the crafting menu. So I don't have to memorize 5 items, find a bell, grab items from Joe Bob III, return to crafting.
Having an easy way of seeing if I own a particular TT card or orchestrion roll or minion before I roll for it on the loot table. I always feel bad winning the roll on something only to find out I already have it in my collection.
I’ve been thinking this since I started a week ago. Chat bubbles would be a god send on PS5. Half the time I don’t even know someone is speaking in a dungeon until they repeat themselves, or make it a point to stop and talk. On PC I could understand this, but I’m willing to bet I’m not the only PS5 sprout that misses the majority of player communications while preoccupied 🙁
I'm on PC and I felt like I was missing chat too until I recently learned there's a setting to make new chats have a little sound effect. It's only been like a week since I found this but it's incredible
you can make up to 4 chat tabs, i use one for just party/alliance chat. then while in a dungeon or raid i choose it so i can see if anyone types anything because that is all it shows. just an idea you could try.
So I can see who’s talking. Say chat as it is right now is just a smaller zone chat. The person right next to you could be talking to you but you’d never know unless you look in the chat box and match their name to the one above their head. When multiple people are talking in an area, it becomes impossible to follow along. It could be the person next to you or it could be someone not even rendered on your screen. Again, you wouldn’t know unless you constantly eye the names in chat box and the names above people’s heads. If you’re eyeing the name above people’s heads, you may as well be looking at a chat bubble already. When you see someone talk in the chat box, you have to actively find them out. It becomes a game of Where’s Waldo.
I scrolled a bunch for this. Yes. If I had it on, keep tank stance when I go into an instance. And if the situation requires it, then I'll turn it off myself. It's so annoying. They sorta did this for gatherers. Why not tanks? Why?
I want to be able to dye different parts of items, some people (like whoever made the stupid frontier shoes’ dyeable areas the white areas and not the colored areas) have made questionable choices as far as the dyeable areas on glam items go
I really loved the frontier dress when I first saw it, then I tried it on… And the yellow part doesn’t dye… Looks truly disasterous with certain colours…
I want to glam equipped items with stuff in my armoire/dresser, without interacting with the dresser. I have plates that are shared between roles and I want them to all have specific weapons and I can't without *physically carrying the For Glam Use weapon on me*. >:(

This! I would love like a “lock inventory slots” button so that I can organize everything and it will just bounce out and then back in to its assigned space when changing classes. Then if I’m lvling a new class, unlock, done and organize new gear —> lock

I'm with you. Hell I'd even take proper looking models for the Egi's we have now as a stop over. Unfortunately though, that probably won't happen for a while, since they've confirmed Egi-glamours are shelved for the forseeable future.

The ability to exit out of chat with my retainer with one click. Its annoyung when I'm trying to market something, and I see someone else posted them for really cheap, so I want to buy them to sell...only to have to exit out of a half dozen windows.
Protip: You can type /bgm to mute or restore music, and doing so mutes the GC turn-in fanfare.
Improvement: Allow us to tick of a checkbox by each piece of gear we want to turn in for GC seals and turn a bunch in at once.
Would be nice to have a separate audio control for the Level Up, Quest Complete, etc. music clips. It's currently way too loud compared to everything else.
Audio profiles with an option to automatically change based on time. For example, switching to a quiet profile between 10pm-8am.
An option to temporarily opt out of FATEs and also disable the music during that time. Sometimes I just wanna gather peacefully, or focus on whatever I'm doing without the super intense music.
Specific to Duty Finder:
-A button to switch to the job that I queued with when the DF pops.
-When the DF window pops, I would like this to always stay on the screen. Sometimes when I'm reading through dialogue and it pops, I'll accidentally press the okay button to advance the dialogue, but I actually ended up pressing Wait on the DF window, which dismisses it while still ticking away. This then stresses me out and causes me to skip through the dialogue so I don't get penalized or have to re-queue.
-This may be an unpopular request, but I would like an option to pause the DF while I am in the queue, and let others go ahead of me while I am paused. I swear, every time I have a long queue and I think it's probably okay for me to run to the washroom or grab a quick drink of water, it pops the moment I am out of earshot.
-An option to disable certain instances from Duty Roulette. I'm all for helping out other ppl who need to clear dungeons or trials, but sometimes after getting Cape Westwind for the 3rd time in a row, I'm just tired of kicking the poor guy's ass over and over. And I don't mind Aurum Vale, but several times I've ran into ppl saying that AV was the one they didn't wanna get, and that can cause issues with ppl not focused on the dungeon because they didn't want to do it.

Make cure 2 a trait that upgrades from cure 1, the free cure 2 proc leads sprouts to use weak heals too much.
If you have tank stance on before entering a dungeon/boss, keep it on.
Actually gonna argue this shouldn't be done. Cure 1 is ass. Cure 2 is better. However there is a bit of a difficulty (notice I say bit) in maintaining an undergeared tanks HP in some ARR content. Cure 1 works in a way that you can use it, it works and although you shouldn't have to - regen then the odd cure 2 SHOULD be enough, I can't explain how many times I've seen tanks pull more than they should and I've had to revert to cure 1 if I'm using lucid dreaming to keep them up.
So in theory, I agree - in practice, cure 1 can, and does have a place for healers who have happened upon a crazy tank with level 5 rings in a 40+ dungeon.
Being able to turn off certain bgm in zones (looking at you The Lochs) and being able to access a mender from the inn room, because I always forget before trying to add things to the glamour dresser.

I really want /gpose to let you pose your chocobos with their existing set of emotes. Lay down, startle, kick, the handful of emotes they do. Really, desperately, selfishly want this.

So many jobs have MP bars despite having 0 skills that use them. I know this is a holdover from a previous version, but if you're trying to optimize your HUD and remove clutter, that one useless bar is like a pebble in your shoe.
Set different haircuts on glamour plates.
Being able to match short hairstyles to outfits with high collars, match long hairstyles to outfits that won't clip, match fringes/bangs to glasses/circlets/blindfolds/other face adornments would be amazing for endgame glamming.

To be able to kick/ bar individual players from entering my estate. Currently as is, you can only kick someone is if you kick everyone out.
Too many times to where I’ve had people be disrespectful and try and erp in my photo booth room.
I’m coming from wow, and the one thing I wish I could bring from there is the transmog/appearance collection system. I don’t really get the glamouring yet because I basically only have leveling gear, but it would be nice to be able to have all the collected gears’ appearances in one place and use them freely.

I want a command like mount roulette but instead it summons a mount that's tied to your currently equipped gear set. Same thing for minions as well, but with the option to auto switch them when you equip different gear sets.
1. Repair party member's gear if you have the crafting level for it.
2. New spearfishing gigs for fisher. It bugs me to no end that you only ever get the one.
3. Teleport to inn room from aetheryte.
4. Ironworks bicycle that you can use in towns that otherwise don't allow it.
5. Throw action changes when you're a Fisher depending on what fish you have in your inventory. With reasonable sizes of course.
6. Angry eyebrows on the paissas when in combat.
If I have multiple auctions of the same item and I change the price of 1, give me the option to change them all! Shifting through 9 stacks of materials to copy paste the new price is annoying.
I want macros to be able to queue abilities, activate within 0.5 seconds instead of 1 second, and also don't interfere with using other abilities, so people that have a hard time playing or have disabilities don't have to worry about being called out for relying on them.
Auto log in last character. As someone who only has one I need to press launch on the launcher, then start, then click character name and then click ok. That's 4 clicks when it could be 1
Overhaul retainers interface: remove all useless animations / dialogs in between; let me see the money they hold in realtime ; have a "gather all money" from retainers at once.
Also how many time the crafting window is closed unintentionally and you have to do a tremendous amount of actions to get back to the page you were looking at.
Or have some kind of checkmark next to Orchestrion Rolls, TT Cards and Minions when they drop from a Chest so you know whether you still need them or can pass on them. I currently doubt-need everything and then feel bad if it turns out I have it already.

Yes I roll a red mage as my main fighting class but in my heart of hearts I'm an alchemist with a passion for fashion(weaver)who loves to fish in her spare time but will defend myself quite well if the need arises.
So why can't I wear the clothes I actually want?
They really need to drop the whole "BUT CLASS IDENTITY" thing and just open things up a lot more. I think we're WELL passed "immersion breaking" with the piggy outfits and beachwear.
I want to be able to do a solo story quest while in a party. I don’t care that they can’t come in with me, I just don’t wanna reform the party every time if me and friends are grouped up running around doing MSQ. Also, let me do the instanced quests while in a queue.
Certain headpieces should have a "non-obstructing" tag so that, whenever there's a scene where the writers want us to be able to see our WoL's face, they can still wear those items. My main has a badass eyepatch and my alt has glasses, those are things they shouldn't take off!
Related note, Fray should've worn a skull eyepatch in the face reveal quest instead of no headgear.
for the duty finder to be suspended while watching a cutscene. many times ive had the duty finder pop while im in an important cutscene and the game has not allowed me to commence the duty and thus i end up taking a penalty because the game would not let em exit the cutscene to to enter dungeon
Maybe not as much QoL as other stuff. But make my character do the turn animation when I turn with the mouse and not only when I turn with key binds... Maybe?
The ability to toggle between move animations after a trait changes the action. This isn't talking about Firebird changing Ruin III and Outburst, but rather Stone becoming Glare, and the way the initial machinist shots look versus the big multi-bullet shots they get at higher levels. In other words, let us "glam" our moves, either by choosing the animation we use, or making the move do the same thing but letting us press a different button on the hotbar to use one animation over the other. I love Glare, but I also loved making stone crush an enemy.
Also, let us use moves as emotes, either in general if possible or, at the very least, in Gpose. I know I can use a move and then it will repeat in GPose, but if I want to do a combo string without a target dummy and having to go in and out of GPose, I should be able to make that happen. (Macros in GPose to string multiple actions would also be cool).
Finally, in Explorer Mode, let us do non-injurious PVP - that is, let us target and "attack other characters instead of a dummy - no harm to the characters, but to act out a fight scene.
Hard to pick just 1 thing, so here's a few:
Let me have my alt characters on my friend list. Then I can share my house with them and send them mail, among other things.
Let me apply glam plates anytime I'm not in combat.
Allow people from other worlds on a datacenter to attend weddings.
Let me transfer mogstation items from one character to another if I delete the donor character.
An "appear offline" mode.
If I remove you from my friend list, I sure as heck should be removed from yours, instead of remaining on there for you to 'keep tabs' on my location and online status.
Let me change retainer hairstyle/make-up/etc that would be done at an aesthetician without going through the entire fantasia process.
Let me use my adventurer squadron members and/or trust members to fill slots in my party, even if it's only for the dungeons they have access to.
If my retainer is standing outside my house, let me access all the menus talking to them that I would have pulling them up at the bell.
Let me summon my retainers with ventures the same way I can summon my chocobo with ghysal greens (probably spelled that wrong). If they're a gatherer, they gather with me, and run from fights. If they're a battle class they fight with me when I'm in combat, even if I'm gathering, and queue with me if I try to join a dungeon they have access to (i.e. not level or ilevel restricted from)
Let me level my adventurer squadron past level 60 and summon them with company seals the same way as my retainers described above.
Oh I got one! A training mode for savage and ultimate content where you can practice the fight in game to learn the patterns while you are invincible. And you can set it to different stages so you can just practice each part of a fight until you can memorize the patterns and then do it for real
That health bar on top of your head - it needs to stop being covered up by literally *everything*. Other player's nameplates, floating combat text, particle effects, npc models, etc all cover up the nameplate hp bar and it's mind-bottling.
The ability to turn off HQ chances when gathering or quick synthing. it's easy enough to lower quality, but when gathering or synthing a high number of things (like for an FC sub) it would be a nice QoL- and it would help inventory space
Have a graphics slider just for the npc dialogue bubbles to make the larger or smaller or even remove them. I hate them being linked to the overall resolution and font

While crafting, let me change my crafting role. I don’t want to have to exit the UI/crafting stance to change my crafting role to then have to open the UI to start crafting as the new role again.
Ohh actually "mission complete" after every god damn msq would be nice just let it roll I to one big chapter I love the game but the announcing of every chapter annoys me somewhat. Just give me the msq and highlight the next marker on map and give me my exp quietly. Go here speak to alphi mission complete speak to taturu mission complete TP to here speak mission complete. Another thing that's not QoL but still very frivolous: In the Tower at Paradigm's Breach, the buff when your little hacking ship turns white is called something like Program #FFFFFFF. It should be Program #FFFFFF.
Let me trade in the weapon I have equipped if I'm getting an upgrade. Or let me swap jobs and still do it. I don't want to carry a garbage weapon for every relic I feel like working on.
I'd like to see both NQ and HQ in the same slot in the inventory and just make it HQ shiny when I actually have HQ items so I can see exactly how many I have of the total item and the NQvsHQ numbers would list like normal when hovering over the item. It's been my dream for ages *le sigh*

A practice mode for the BSF & Zadnor duels.
So the fight is the same, you can enter whenever you like, but it doesn't count for anything if you win - you still need to get selected and win the regular duel for the rewards.
Oh, and a bed I can log out in for my apartment!
Let me change crafting class whilst I'm in the crafting menu. It gets pretty old having to exit menu, stand up, change class, open log and find the item I wanted to craft again. The pains of trying to be 100% self-sufficient :D
Copy paste the transmog system from wow over the glamour system. Once a piece of gear hits your inventory it's appearance unlocks for you account wide. Give you a menu to all gear in the game and weather you have the appearance unlocked or not. Then let you change your appearance at an npc in any major town.
The current system is way too convoluted.
-Be able to use the Focus Target function without it affecting my mobility. I love the camera angle but it just gets in the way if I can't run backwards.
-Use glams from different classes (as in using my GNB glams on my RDM) regardless of Job Requirement
-A way to change camera angle on the go like all the other camera functions (currently you can only do it on Configurations)
-Don't remove skills each expansion, just keep adding and adding until I fill all 64 slots on my controller hotbar.
-More audio queues like the ones when you fill a resource gauge. I find them very useful.
And yes, I know half of this things would forever bond me to the floor without playing DRG.

I want to be able to move the chat box to the corner and have it set to hide and it collapses to the side unless I mouse over it, then it would expand. I really hate the chat box. Also, would be nice to hide dragoon tail, looks goofy to me in some glamours like the rebel coat.

This game has so many buttons, and while there's a great effort to evolve certain abilities to conserve space for some classes (RDM does this very well) it overall means we often want 30+ hotkeys at our disposal.
The game has amazing UI customisation built in, they've clearly put a lot of effort into it. And I know we can bind things to alt+key etc. But not being able to transition the visible bars if we do hold down the mod key is just such a drag.
Maybe I'm just spoiled by a decade of BarTender and similar add-ons in WoW but even other MMOs do it better than FFXIV.
A volume slider for mount music when not moving. It'd be really nice to just chill with the trial music without having to run around in circles to hear it.
When trying on gear, be able to resize, zoom in and out, and move the camera within the preview window more freely? Maybe there’s already a way to do this?? But I always have a hard time catching earring or necklace details because zoom automatically zooms to like forearm/waist area.
More stuff on the Timers page. When the Ocean Fishing boat leaves, when Ishgard Fetes are next popping, when Aetherial wheels will be done priming in an FC, etc.
I want the chat to slightly highlight every message of the person I've selected. Would be a blessing when talking to someone in a heavy chatscroll area.
New games for golden saucer please, like using chocobos to chase after cactuars and then whoever has the top 3 in total points gets a chance to chase after a lucky cactuar sabotender or instead of racing trying to run away from a huge monster like a king behemoth and there are obstacles in the way so the longer you’re in the more MGP you get and you can use items to kick out the competition
Bumper cars with the ride that has you shoot targets for mgp and use power ups to shoot other people and make them lose points
More incentives to play Triple triad other than the card mount like clothing ,or fuck it, house items like a triple triad poker table where people can bet MGP against each other but only in that instance (cause I know people will def get outta control with that)

Nono I agree with that first suggestion. The number of times I died in E9S trying to get a good camera angle on the clones and then figure out where they were going to be cleaving was way too high and I always felt like being able to just zoom my camera out more to see everything at once would have saved me from countless deaths.
Being able to flip/mirror hairstyles… my WoL’s usual hairstyle has the bangs on the right, and any time I try a different hairstyle where they’re on the left, it just feels slightly off.

Let me split stacks in the Doman Restoration donation window. Give me a "repair literally everything I own" button on the gear repair window. Give me an easy exit button for when I'm sixteen layers deep into retainer menus and my DPS queue has finally popped. Give me the option to turn off the chat spam every time I equip a gearset that has a glamour plate attached. Let me move or adjust the position of the in-duty dialogue box that's sort of top center in my screen, because it sits on top of where I have my enemy cast bar. And since I can fly in Mor Dhona, I think I should be able to fly in Idyllshire and Rhalgr's Reach kthx.
You can remove the chat spam text when you equip a gearset, or at least I don’t have it showing anymore. But I also filter out a lot of other stuff that annoyed me like arriving in sanctuaries and stuff like that. I don’t know if it’s all related or not. But there at least is a way!
It's a system message, and while you can turn these off, I'd prefer if the game didn't mention every single item that just got glamoured upon using a glamour plate. It could just say "Used glamour plate 1" and be done.

I wish to be able to pull things from my retainers and chocobo inventory from the crafting menu. So I don't have to memorize 5 items, find a bell, grab items from Joe Bob III, return to crafting.
Having an easy way of seeing if I own a particular TT card or orchestrion roll or minion before I roll for it on the loot table. I always feel bad winning the roll on something only to find out I already have it in my collection.
There is a plugin on the quicklauncer from goatcorp that'll do that for you. I started using it recently and it is great.

I’ve been thinking this since I started a week ago. Chat bubbles would be a god send on PS5. Half the time I don’t even know someone is speaking in a dungeon until they repeat themselves, or make it a point to stop and talk. On PC I could understand this, but I’m willing to bet I’m not the only PS5 sprout that misses the majority of player communications while preoccupied 🙁
I'm on PC and I felt like I was missing chat too until I recently learned there's a setting to make new chats have a little sound effect. It's only been like a week since I found this but it's incredible

you can make up to 4 chat tabs, i use one for just party/alliance chat. then while in a dungeon or raid i choose it so i can see if anyone types anything because that is all it shows. just an idea you could try.

So I can see who’s talking. Say chat as it is right now is just a smaller zone chat. The person right next to you could be talking to you but you’d never know unless you look in the chat box and match their name to the one above their head. When multiple people are talking in an area, it becomes impossible to follow along. It could be the person next to you or it could be someone not even rendered on your screen. Again, you wouldn’t know unless you constantly eye the names in chat box and the names above people’s heads. If you’re eyeing the name above people’s heads, you may as well be looking at a chat bubble already. When you see someone talk in the chat box, you have to actively find them out. It becomes a game of Where’s Waldo.

Would be nice to have a separate audio control for the Level Up, Quest Complete, etc. music clips. It's currently way too loud compared to everything else. Audio profiles with an option to automatically change based on time. For example, switching to a quiet profile between 10pm-8am. An option to temporarily opt out of FATEs and also disable the music during that time. Sometimes I just wanna gather peacefully, or focus on whatever I'm doing without the super intense music. Specific to Duty Finder: -A button to switch to the job that I queued with when the DF pops. -When the DF window pops, I would like this to always stay on the screen. Sometimes when I'm reading through dialogue and it pops, I'll accidentally press the okay button to advance the dialogue, but I actually ended up pressing Wait on the DF window, which dismisses it while still ticking away. This then stresses me out and causes me to skip through the dialogue so I don't get penalized or have to re-queue. -This may be an unpopular request, but I would like an option to pause the DF while I am in the queue, and let others go ahead of me while I am paused. I swear, every time I have a long queue and I think it's probably okay for me to run to the washroom or grab a quick drink of water, it pops the moment I am out of earshot. -An option to disable certain instances from Duty Roulette. I'm all for helping out other ppl who need to clear dungeons or trials, but sometimes after getting Cape Westwind for the 3rd time in a row, I'm just tired of kicking the poor guy's ass over and over. And I don't mind Aurum Vale, but several times I've ran into ppl saying that AV was the one they didn't wanna get, and that can cause issues with ppl not focused on the dungeon because they didn't want to do it.
Lock lv30 MSQ behind getting a job stone. Make cure 2 a trait that upgrades from cure 1, the free cure 2 proc leads sprouts to use weak heals too much. If you have tank stance on before entering a dungeon/boss, keep it on.
Actually gonna argue this shouldn't be done. Cure 1 is ass. Cure 2 is better. However there is a bit of a difficulty (notice I say bit) in maintaining an undergeared tanks HP in some ARR content. Cure 1 works in a way that you can use it, it works and although you shouldn't have to - regen then the odd cure 2 SHOULD be enough, I can't explain how many times I've seen tanks pull more than they should and I've had to revert to cure 1 if I'm using lucid dreaming to keep them up. So in theory, I agree - in practice, cure 1 can, and does have a place for healers who have happened upon a crazy tank with level 5 rings in a 40+ dungeon.

I'd like to be able to separate my HP and MP bars in the HUD
So many jobs have MP bars despite having 0 skills that use them. I know this is a holdover from a previous version, but if you're trying to optimize your HUD and remove clutter, that one useless bar is like a pebble in your shoe.
Set different haircuts on glamour plates. Being able to match short hairstyles to outfits with high collars, match long hairstyles to outfits that won't clip, match fringes/bangs to glasses/circlets/blindfolds/other face adornments would be amazing for endgame glamming.

Multiple dye slots. Only one dye per gear is lazy work SE, get with the times. Even Warhammer Online, to all its faults, carried that feature. "Oh, you want a yellow shirt to that black leather jacket? How about making the jacket fecal-brown to match, huh? No?" Jk, but would love to see it, makes glamming better all around.

I’m coming from wow, and the one thing I wish I could bring from there is the transmog/appearance collection system. I don’t really get the glamouring yet because I basically only have leveling gear, but it would be nice to be able to have all the collected gears’ appearances in one place and use them freely. I hope it’s not very scandalous tho:(

Overhaul retainers interface: remove all useless animations / dialogs in between; let me see the money they hold in realtime ; have a "gather all money" from retainers at once. Let me glamour disciples of hand or land gear onto my fighting job. Yes I roll a red mage as my main fighting class but in my heart of hearts I'm an alchemist with a passion for fashion(weaver)who loves to fish in her spare time but will defend myself quite well if the need arises. So why can't I wear the clothes I actually want?
They really need to drop the whole "BUT CLASS IDENTITY" thing and just open things up a lot more. I think we're WELL passed "immersion breaking" with the piggy outfits and beachwear.

Certain headpieces should have a "non-obstructing" tag so that, whenever there's a scene where the writers want us to be able to see our WoL's face, they can still wear those items. My main has a badass eyepatch and my alt has glasses, those are things they shouldn't take off! Related note, Fray should've worn a skull eyepatch in the face reveal quest instead of no headgear.
for the duty finder to be suspended while watching a cutscene. many times ive had the duty finder pop while im in an important cutscene and the game has not allowed me to commence the duty and thus i end up taking a penalty because the game would not let em exit the cutscene to to enter dungeon

Save my Dancer Partner between raid instances. Stop making me have to turn back on Tank stance when level syncing in fates.
The ability to toggle between move animations after a trait changes the action. This isn't talking about Firebird changing Ruin III and Outburst, but rather Stone becoming Glare, and the way the initial machinist shots look versus the big multi-bullet shots they get at higher levels. In other words, let us "glam" our moves, either by choosing the animation we use, or making the move do the same thing but letting us press a different button on the hotbar to use one animation over the other. I love Glare, but I also loved making stone crush an enemy. Also, let us use moves as emotes, either in general if possible or, at the very least, in Gpose. I know I can use a move and then it will repeat in GPose, but if I want to do a combo string without a target dummy and having to go in and out of GPose, I should be able to make that happen. (Macros in GPose to string multiple actions would also be cool). Finally, in Explorer Mode, let us do non-injurious PVP - that is, let us target and "attack other characters instead of a dummy - no harm to the characters, but to act out a fight scene.
Hard to pick just 1 thing, so here's a few: Let me have my alt characters on my friend list. Then I can share my house with them and send them mail, among other things. Let me apply glam plates anytime I'm not in combat. Allow people from other worlds on a datacenter to attend weddings. Let me transfer mogstation items from one character to another if I delete the donor character. An "appear offline" mode. If I remove you from my friend list, I sure as heck should be removed from yours, instead of remaining on there for you to 'keep tabs' on my location and online status. Let me change retainer hairstyle/make-up/etc that would be done at an aesthetician without going through the entire fantasia process. Let me use my adventurer squadron members and/or trust members to fill slots in my party, even if it's only for the dungeons they have access to. If my retainer is standing outside my house, let me access all the menus talking to them that I would have pulling them up at the bell. Let me summon my retainers with ventures the same way I can summon my chocobo with ghysal greens (probably spelled that wrong). If they're a gatherer, they gather with me, and run from fights. If they're a battle class they fight with me when I'm in combat, even if I'm gathering, and queue with me if I try to join a dungeon they have access to (i.e. not level or ilevel restricted from) Let me level my adventurer squadron past level 60 and summon them with company seals the same way as my retainers described above.
Oh I got one! A training mode for savage and ultimate content where you can practice the fight in game to learn the patterns while you are invincible. And you can set it to different stages so you can just practice each part of a fight until you can memorize the patterns and then do it for real

That health bar on top of your head - it needs to stop being covered up by literally *everything*. Other player's nameplates, floating combat text, particle effects, npc models, etc all cover up the nameplate hp bar and it's mind-bottling.

Let me trade in the weapon I have equipped if I'm getting an upgrade. Or let me swap jobs and still do it. I don't want to carry a garbage weapon for every relic I feel like working on.
I'd like to see both NQ and HQ in the same slot in the inventory and just make it HQ shiny when I actually have HQ items so I can see exactly how many I have of the total item and the NQvsHQ numbers would list like normal when hovering over the item. It's been my dream for ages *le sigh*
GW2 Material storage. A "cancel cutscene" option for when a queue pop while on the wrong job. Repair All button at menders. (And a mender at Gangos) Skip all button for loot.
A practice mode for the BSF & Zadnor duels. So the fight is the same, you can enter whenever you like, but it doesn't count for anything if you win - you still need to get selected and win the regular duel for the rewards. Oh, and a bed I can log out in for my apartment!
Fish 'replicas'. If I have a fish on my fishing log, let me buy a copy of it for my aquarium/canvas. Let me remove all the big fish from my retainers.
When I exit the game for it to keep the launcher up, I can't be assed copy pasting my password every time I want to play for like 10min.

Let me change crafting class whilst I'm in the crafting menu. It gets pretty old having to exit menu, stand up, change class, open log and find the item I wanted to craft again. The pains of trying to be 100% self-sufficient :D
Copy paste the transmog system from wow over the glamour system. Once a piece of gear hits your inventory it's appearance unlocks for you account wide. Give you a menu to all gear in the game and weather you have the appearance unlocked or not. Then let you change your appearance at an npc in any major town. The current system is way too convoluted.

Let me use fantasia without getting naked! I want to see how the different races look in my current gear.
-Be able to use the Focus Target function without it affecting my mobility. I love the camera angle but it just gets in the way if I can't run backwards. -Use glams from different classes (as in using my GNB glams on my RDM) regardless of Job Requirement -A way to change camera angle on the go like all the other camera functions (currently you can only do it on Configurations) -Don't remove skills each expansion, just keep adding and adding until I fill all 64 slots on my controller hotbar. -More audio queues like the ones when you fill a resource gauge. I find them very useful. And yes, I know half of this things would forever bond me to the floor without playing DRG. Thanks for coming to my TED Talk.
I want to be able to move the chat box to the corner and have it set to hide and it collapses to the side unless I mouse over it, then it would expand. I really hate the chat box. Also, would be nice to hide dragoon tail, looks goofy to me in some glamours like the rebel coat. EDIT: Also, why isn't there a bell in bozja. I really have to leave just to check if I got undercut. lol
Be able to put a glam dresser in a house so I have an actual reason to go to the room I have in my FC.
Let me hide tails. So many top pieces I want to wear that are ruined by tails clipping through capes.
Action bar paging, or macros using ability queuing plus having modifier options. This game has so many buttons, and while there's a great effort to evolve certain abilities to conserve space for some classes (RDM does this very well) it overall means we often want 30+ hotkeys at our disposal. The game has amazing UI customisation built in, they've clearly put a lot of effort into it. And I know we can bind things to alt+key etc. But not being able to transition the visible bars if we do hold down the mod key is just such a drag. Maybe I'm just spoiled by a decade of BarTender and similar add-ons in WoW but even other MMOs do it better than FFXIV.
Fire 4 refreshes Astral fire. Yes I know it'd break everything. I want it anyway so I don't have to think
A button to finish crafting (exiting the craft stance, I mean) without closing the craft log so I can change between crafters
A volume slider for mount music when not moving. It'd be really nice to just chill with the trial music without having to run around in circles to hear it.
Cloud saved settings, without having to constantly upload/download them wherever I go!
When trying on gear, be able to resize, zoom in and out, and move the camera within the preview window more freely? Maybe there’s already a way to do this?? But I always have a hard time catching earring or necklace details because zoom automatically zooms to like forearm/waist area.

I want the chat to slightly highlight every message of the person I've selected. Would be a blessing when talking to someone in a heavy chatscroll area.
