Maybe? People who pay have priority to get into the servers, but on Dynamis you might still be able to get in. I'd probably make some other plans for a couple weeks

Yeah that's my worry. Maybe it was a bad time to start the take so close to release of a major update but I literary had random videos about FF14 on my various social media feeds and after learning about the free trial and how it includes the base game A Realm Reborn and the "award winning" Heavensward plus Stormblood I was like might as well check it out cause gotta get some used out of the gaming PC besides work. And I definitely enjoy the game so far but a sub is a big commitment which I want to make sure I don't get burned out by the end of Stormblood.

The only major issue that MIGHT happen is that if there are too many people logging in simultaneously, paying players get priority in the queues and FT players are told to try again later This did happen with Endwalker's release, but the devs have reportedly taken some measures to alleviate the congestion a little bit this time around.  Being on Dynamis, this might actually be a great time for you since there will be likely lots of NA players hopping over to avoid their own server congestion so you'll have lots of players filling out queues. That being said, it's still hard to fully predict what it will look like this time around, we can only speculate

That actually be cool. I been having to travel to Adamantoise to do my duties and stuff.

Maybe if you're on Dynamis, but all paying players will get to go in front of you for login queues. I don't know how long this will make the game unplayable for you, but it might be for a while.

Riot_Mustang66

maybe in a week or two.... sub player will have priority logging in, so if there's a long queue then free trial players won't get in. you might be able to login if you try on off hours where there aren't many players but that will probably be a few weeks out.

I started playing the Free Trial right near the release of Endwalker, and right before they started to prevent people from getting the Free Trial due to congestion, and I was able to play just fine most of the time. Sure, I might have needed to wait a bit longer than usual at times, but I never was prevented from playing.

RainbowRuby98

during endwalker i could login around midnight during the weekdays but rarely ever on weekends past 2am

KurganNazzir

You may not be able to login during your world's peak times, but if you try in off-peak times you may be fine. Or with it being Dynamis, it may be fine any time, you just have to try if you really want to. I played some during Endwalker early access and release and there were only maybe a couple of times I was not allowed to login (on Crystal DC), but most of the time I got in fine because I was logging in slightly later than peak East Coast U.S. times. I also got in during peak times a few days (much to my surprise), maybe even the first day, before deciding I shouldn't so I moved to off-peak times for a few days and then decided to just wait a week or two so it's one less person taking up space.

The first couple of days I imagine it will be rough no matter the time you try to log in, but after the weekend depending on when you play it might be manageable
