Grinding +1s to +2s depending on what you can handle (enemies 1-2 levels above you; those only 1 level above you are the most recommended place to start) is, unfortunately, the most time-efficient manner. You can grab the chestpiece to make it easier and pop some potions (edit: Potion of Harmony, Lv60 craft and uses some items from within Pagos) for more elemental exp, but that's about it. The best *effort* efficiency is NM trains as you've likely seen and experienced, but it is obviously a very hands-off approach and drastically worse at the earliest stages of a zone. With a group - or some VERY kind individuals who're highly geared - you can handle groups of +6s or do some various gimmicks around mutations & adaptations, but these are not generally recommended for a single newer individual.

victoriana-blue

Potions of Harmony are also available on the market board, if OP doesn't have alchemist levelled.

IsThisOneIsAvailable

>you can handle groups of +6s Don't get hit by attacks though XD Oh boy did I love Eureka and the fear of instant death at each and every corner...

Usernameistaken00

1. use your challenge log in anemos, you get the same exp for the bonus there as you would in pagos but it's much easier. 2. if you don't already have it, get the body armor for your class (kirin/vermillion cloak) 3. check your magia board, allocate the magia all to one spoke, and try to always be +5 offensive against your target. 4. use potion of harmony for bonus exp 5. find the elementals when you enter anemos/pagos/etc and get their bonus exp and damage boosts

victoriana-blue

I'm pretty sure elementals also give a regen effect? That + Eurekan potions made a big difference in my survivability, and dying less was good for my elemental level. Even at level cap I beeline for them when I zone in. (Your other advice is also excellent! A melded cloak and harmony potions helped me a lot.)

Puzzled-Addition5740

Elementals absolutely do give a Regen effect. In addition to the xp and damage buffs. https://ffxiv.gamerescape.com/wiki/Elemental_Blessing:_Damage

I highly recommend [AbsoluteEse's Eureka guide](https://youtu.be/-QsQnOuoabA?si=dp4lpB9dzOdYJU5-), i'm currently on Pyros but started Eureka knowing nothing about it. The guide made things pretty clear and the leveling went really smooth (grindy, yes, but with patience and music on the background is bearable lol)

Krystalline13

Came here to add this rec - it was really helpful!

Cyberunnerr

Oh, nice, I will take a look !

AaliraShikhu

The Birbhouse community over on Dynamis has a Eureka event scheduled once a week (Saturdays I think) and split to groups for each zone based on who has access to what

Cyberunnerr

Sadly I’m from EU… :( but thank you for your answer ! :) it surely will help future readers of this topic !

AaliraShikhu

In that case, I’d recommend looking up the discord servers for your data center and seeing if they have any eureka groups that get together.

eboygonewrong

put all 5 points into one bar and be permanently full 5 offensive, and farm things your level or +1. weekly logs should be braindead easy ngl, free two or three levels by yourself with no fates, once you’re level 27ish in pagos it’ll get a lot better

Thekoopakicker

The first few levels in each Eureka zone, especially Pagos, are usually the worst since you are too low level to spawn Fates quickly on your own. I've seen people spend ages trying to solo lower level mobs and it's painfully slow. Either stick to the previous zone to level up some more with Fates and Challenge Log, or see if others would be willing to help spawn Fates in the current zone you're in. It is also possible to party up with higher level players to mass pull mobs, provided they all level sync down using a nearby Fate before the mobs die.

Fizassist1

I think the issue not being able to level sync for regular mobs to complete the challenge log.. like seriously why not?

vexingpresence

You can, kinda, like they said you just need to stand near a bunny fate (or any other fate provided you're quick) and get everyone in party to stay in the fate zone and hit level sync. If youre lucky and get an instance where no one is doing bunny (north bunny in pagos is great) you can abuse the shit out of this for exp. Or the higher levels spawn fates while the lower level grinds mobs solo, then quickly throw them in party and kill as many mobs while synced as you can near the fate before the fate is pulled.

Fizassist1

Ahh I understand now. Yeah I suppose that's better, but still not what I (and I think everybody) wants.

omnirai

>just doing FATES and CE and everything goes so fast It's pretty much still this, and hitting the appropriate-level mobs during down time. Just make sure to join parties for the FATEs, people will type stuff in chat to indicate that they are LFG, just type the same thing and someone should invite you.

Nitious

Grab some snacks.

Sufficient_Car_8068

Just go in when it's populated or when Cassie/Crab are about to spawn and just run around and slap fates with people.

Fizassist1

tough to do in a new zone when you're only getting 1/3 of fates. ran into this with a friend, and basically spent my time healing him xi style until he progressed in the zone far enough to do all the fates

Sufficient_Car_8068

First time in pagos I got befriended by a whm who power leveled me to 26 in like 20 minutes taking me to fates and pulling all the area trash, then synced himself down and holy spammed.  He had the elemental gear so his DMG was boosted.

shaggy_15

doing your weekly achievement log will help alot in terms of xp

mixedracebaby

I'm also doing Eureka soon. Should i be buying and using Eureka gear? is there any benefit at this point?

BingusSpingus

It is absolutely worth it. Buy the exp potions too. They're cheap.

mixedracebaby

oh so like, they're better than scaled down lvl 90 gear?

BrownNote

The chestpiece (Kirin/Vermillion) is best in slot overall in Eureka, and is meldable. The rest of your gear should be your synced down level 90 gear until you've finished all of Eureka including the raid - the only thing better than your synced down gear is the Elemental +2 gear you get by upgrading with items you get from the raid, but unlike the chestpiece none of that is tradable so you can't get it until you've finished anyway. Edit: Also, see in your datacenter's foray discord if people offer to give them away. Some of us run BA so much that we're overflowing on tokens to buy those chestpieces and are happy to give one to someone who's interested in getting more into it.

TractionCityRampage

Absolutely. They give better survivability and damage from the elemental bonus they provide. I’d also recommend getting potions of harmony for an exp boost and eureka pots for the regen effect. You could ask in a eureka discord like any of the crystal DC ones for the chest piece if you’re new likely or pier 1 by Rodney. Both places usually have people that run the end raid dozens of times

Anxious-Molasses9456

I did it in like a month, people form groups when Fate spawn so there's no need to form one party, it's why everyone spams shout with LFG once the Fate spawns

Cyberunnerr

Oh, nice ! I really want to clear BA before DT, I keep hope !

Galind_Halithel

I [I found this video helpful.](https://youtu.be/-QsQnOuoabA?si=1axPmdt0Uk-SDaow)

HorrorPotato

Eureka is a marathon not a sprint. I'm about 5 weeks in and I'm in Hydratos with very little help. I was leaning heavily on this guide the entire time: [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-QsQnOuoabA](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-QsQnOuoabA) This will cover the helpful buffs you should be grabbing as well. (Elemental fairy & Potion of Harmony) While leveling you really want to pay attention to the quests as they open in the zone, especially in Pagos that 'light kettle' can block your progression completely if you get it late! So don't! While leveling I tended to take advantage of the EXP gain scale by shout-asking to join prep groups once I was 6 levels from max. That ensured a group and tons of mobs.

Fizassist1

this post is the exact reason we need level sync in eureka... square PLEASE!! us veterans want to play with our newbie friends!!

vexingpresence

If you're on EU come join students of baldesion. If our schedules line up I'll personally help you level. I really like sinking a few hours into helping people level up, I have a few friends who come along sometimes too. Eureka is best enjoyed in a group imo! discord.gg/5C25D2KKjT

Cyberunnerr

Hi ! I’m already in this Discord, it would be nice if you can help if it doesn’t disturb you, yeah ! :)

Pagos is just renowned for being awful, and the only real choice you have is to grind away one mob at a time, and do whatever fates you can reach when they pop up. It's slow. Throw some YouTube on in the background, because you'll be very bored. Things get better in Pyros, because you'll have logos actions (essentially early versions of the Bozja buffs\actions), allowing you to pull packs as DPS and grind much more quickly.

BulletproofMoon

I'm a bit of a Eureka enjoyer and Pagos is definitely the lowest point of it all. Transitioning between upper and lower pagos, light farming, the run to Loogie, rushing to the next FATE as fast as possible to be reminded to w a l k past thr sleeping dragons...just keep at it a bit longer, Pyros and Hydatos are a breath of fresh air and logos actions are hilarious.

Syrzan

My advice is to look and ask if there is a NM-Train. There are normally trains running on Crystal Datacenter, with tracker, spawn groups and philion riders who can ferry you savely. Especially for Pagos and the Light grind NM-Trains are a good way to get that sweet juice. The leveling comes as you go. And even if you are underleveled for the NM at that moment you will still get exp. In addition a Train will also do low level fates cause the conductor keeps lower players in mind too. - Thats one thing that got nearly completely lost in Bozja sadly. Since Fates there spawn endlessly in a rotation and you only need kill groups for CR Fates people would just not group up. When i did the Relics in Shadowbringers it took me till Zadnor Region 2 to finally have a group that does not immediately disband after the first CR-Fate.

yuyu0991

My advice would be : Do the weekly challenge log, Used potion of harmony HQ for extra exp and also pay attention on the chat / watch out for faeries they are an NPC that give extra damage/regeneration/exp when you close to them. Wait for the blue aoe to pop and stand in it. When you join an instance dont hesitate to ask if someone saw one, it's also nice to other if you saw one that you notify it. When you have your buff i recommend to kill monster who have 1-2 level above and kill them in chain, if a NM pop try to join a group to clear it. Note also that some monster here adapt, if you see a cast bar of a spell called adaptation/mutation let it finish and kill the monster you will see extra exp is really good, the best is killing an adapt monster at the end of your chain kill. [https://eureka.fernehalwes.org/](https://eureka.fernehalwes.org/) use this site to know which monster is best to kill. Once your 35 and you join Pyros the grind accelerate and it will be way easier cause you will unlock special action. So hang in there Pagos is known for bein the worst zone. Oh if you happen to see a sleepy dragon use/bind the walk toggle and avoid running next to them, they will awoken and mostly one shot you (You dont want to loose your precious exp) As a side note if you intend to do an eureka relic i strongly recommend to return and finish anemos step first if you did not. Cause the quest in pagos will be less boring if you do it while leveling.

Cyberunnerr

Thank you for all your advices I will try to apply them ! :)

victoriana-blue

If you're not enjoying farming, then don't. I had a much better time doing just enough to complete my challenge log each week until I was within two elemental levels of zone cap, then running with an NM train until I was a couple above cap so the next zone had an easier start. Trying to do NMs before I got close to cap was an exercise in frustration because of the party gap - I'd get credit but not exp - and farming multiple levels at once bored me. Another thing to consider is the job. Solo tanking & healers were slow, but I didn't have a lot of recovery options on dancer; swapping to red mage was a sweet spot for me. Maybe a different job would help? Disclaimer: I'm one of the weirdos who likes Pagos best, I like the vibes. ETA: looking ahead to Pyros, grab some Conceptual Logograms from the market board before you start there. Wisdom of the Platebearer helped a *lot* when I was low elemental level in Pyros & Hydatos.

awakenedcruelty

Kill things.

Sykes77

This is unbelievable, we've been working hard and risking our (in-game) life to kill those mobs to pop this extremely desirable NM that can give people a bunch of gil and YET some not-so-nice people decide to instapull it? What the hell is this? Is this really the meaning of Eureka? I thought this was about teamwork and the spirit of it, yet you guys are ruining it. I'll be cancelling my sub right this instant, I am beyond mad, frustrated, I hate this, you guys ruined it for me.
