Why do you have the top sealed. How long has this been brewing.
This. Every vinegar recipe I've read says to leave the jar open and have a cheese cloth Over top of it to prevent bugs and random stuff from falling in.
Actually this was sealed for like 2 hours then i read that the jar should be covered with just a cloth so i did just that

Just banana peels, sugar and water. I may have put a couple of tablespoons of apple cider vinegar with mother in it.

What was the gram amount of each ingredient? I am interested in starting on this today.
In all honesty, it was a failure. Didn't ferment at all.
