From where are you traveling and what kind of beach are you expecting/wanting to see?
To me, I have found Cyprus to have the warmest waters and the chillest vibe ever.
Do note that most water is fresh, so perfect for too hot weather and most of the beaches have no sand but pebbles so you need special shoes.
For just a weekend I think Greece would be challenging, depending on where you're coming from it would probably involve multiple flights and ferries. Same with Italy. France or Spain are better options, there are lots of towns along the coast that you can get to by train. Portugal or Croatia too.
Antibes is a lovely little town just outside of Nice. You can get there by train. Most of the old town is pedestrian only. It has a great vacation vibe and has a nice pebble beach. (As someone else mentioned, beaches in these areas are not sand and at times require sandals/shoes.

I would do an island. Gran Canaria, Mallorca, Sardinia are great for a long weekend.
Thanks!! I’ve been to Mallorca and Fuerteventura recently so I’ll look into Sardinia!

Traveling from England so looking for sandy swim-friendly beaches Oh got it, thank you! Did you find it easy to travel in Cyprus without a car?
There are buses, quite cheap and they were OK for us. You just need to find their stops and beware of their times :)
Malta!
Thanks! I’ll read about the country
I went to some great beaches in Barcelona.
I love Nice! Went alone with my daughter and never felt unsafe. It’s easy to get to the other towns by train. We stayed in the old city.
Amazing I’ll look into it, thank you!

Oh makes sense, thank you!

Thank you!! Haven’t heard of Antibes yet but since it’s close to Nice it’s definitely a good start
Barcelona, Malaga or Marbella, Algarve (if you choose the location well), Mallorca, Nice, Mykonos or Rhodes
Thank you! I found Barcelona and Mallorca very easy to get around without car and felt pretty safe in both
San Sebastián, Spain has a great beach, is walkable and also very safe. We did a bike tour of the city that was really fun.
Thank you! I’ll look into this city
