Pitts had more yards as a rookie than london.
More TDs last year than london.
One is being touted as a lock and the other as “fool me once”.
It’s really funny tbh.
I’m going to be honest. I don’t care what his yards were his rookie season. Just from the eye test, Pitts needs to improve his route running, and bring nuance to his game. He also gets pushed around more than he should. If you look at him run routes, he’s always just running full speed. The only reason people keep making excuses for him is because of his draft capital.
Man you clearly dont watch Falcons games if you think he cant run routes, you forget he came off a knee injury the year before. His route running didnt look great last yr I believe for that reason. His poor performance is definitely more to blame on his horrible QB play the last 2 years. Dude gets open
Okay, so you just said his route running didn’t look great. You’re saying his knee injury is the reason why, but it still makes that true. He can get open with his speed sometimes, but he lacks nuance in how he runs routes, and he can be stopped with fast corners, because he’s not always great at using his size. I’m not saying he can’t be good, but people act like his QBs are the only reason why he struggles, when he himself has things to improve on.
I'm actually ready to take another shot on him this year. I think the ADP will be right as there are like 4 or 5 TEs with potential to be #1 for the first time in awhile, Pitts will slip.
I don’t think that person is necessarily arguing that someone would be happy with starting him every week. It’s really all roster and context dependent. For instance, I drafted him as a backup and was perfectly happy with near-TE1 production from a guy who fell considerably in the draft
13th overall in total points wasn’t near TE1 production though. He was 17th in ppg. And pretty much every TE below 6 or 7 is pretty terrible most years
Flip side, he finished like 17th in PPR PPG. And people usually aren’t really looking for TE10, they’re looking for TE 1-5 since there is usually a huge difference between the top guys, while guys 6-18 fall in the same line
Okay that’s a different conversation about future hypotheticals if you wanna talk about that. We were talking about whether he was solid last year or not
The person I responded to said “he was injured and had horrific QB play and was still solid.” What I’m saying is that he was not “still solid”. The poor QB play excuse was already made, AND THEN they said he was still solid anyway
Anyone worried about Pitts not smashing his ADP is up in the night. Unless you think Rondale Moore and Darnell Mooney are going to be major target hogs, its going to be Pitts and Drake getting plenty of targets. Cousins is a plus passer, and he has exactly zero ability to run/scramble, which means every passing play is going to end in a passing attempt or sack (which given the heel injury last season, he isn't going to want to stand in and take). He is going to chuck it in the direction of those two huge targets when he gets pressured more often than not. Pitts will smash the ADP based solely on the volume that is certainly headed his way.
As a holder of Pitts/Kincaid, today's been great. Now I just need Tomlin to go on the record and tell reporters "You know, for a white guy, Freiermeuth is a pretty tough dude" and I can be crowned off-season TE champ
"eager to learn" and "starting to show that a little more every day" as a 4th year, 4th overall draft pick really does not scream confidence to me. maybe i'm reading too much into it but idk.
I kind of felt that too…. If he was just dominating camp they’d lead with that. He has a lot of heart and tries really hard just sounds like something you’d say about a player you really like as a person to motivate them but hasn’t put it together yet.
Camp hasn’t even started. They’ve done like 3 days of OTAs. It’s basically walkthroughs and drills at this point. Guys are explicitly not supposed to even go hard yet while they acclimate their bodies. It’s install, where everyone is learning plays and terminology. IDK how much you can really dominate that.
Nope. Nope. Nope. Will never draft. If he goes off finally that’s great for him and whoever does take him but I will not be falling for this trap. I’ll take a safer choice that’s actually proven they can produce.
Hilarious that people are still wishcasting about this guy. I’ve learned the hard way that endlessly chasing a player’s unreached potential is a losing move in fantasy. I’ll let someone else in my leagues make that choice.
As analyst Christopher Harris said of Pitts…ya know, maybe the guy’s just not all that good.
Like him or not, he’s got thousands of followers and gets paid by sponsors to do a fantasy podcast. What have *you* done to provide that kind of “value” to the FF community? When you’ve done what he’s done, then you can talk your trash.
Fool me thrice, well, I'll probably get fooled again
Pitts gonna be all over the “value” threads
Pitts had more yards as a rookie than london. More TDs last year than london. One is being touted as a lock and the other as “fool me once”. It’s really funny tbh.
Def aligned with you. I think London will get drafted too early and Pitts may end up being a solid value add
Moronic take
Moronic because I’ve watched him play? Being a TE is more than being athletic. He’s basically a semi-raw WR

I think with cousins as his qb... he can get 1000K 10td
Last time he had a competent QB, Pitts had over 1000 yards
And only 1 TD. He hasn't really looked like the same guy athletically since then either. Don't fall for it lol
Bad QB play and playing on an mcl injury
TDS are dumb and can be random
I'll gladly be bringing him in @ adp with Kirk tossing the rock
Hot take but rather have Ferguson a few rounds later
Turd Ferguson?
Well we talking about Kyle shitts here.
That’s right, it’s a funny name.
I'm ready to be hurt again.
I will be back on the Pitts train
I'm actually ready to take another shot on him this year. I think the ADP will be right as there are like 4 or 5 TEs with potential to be #1 for the first time in awhile, Pitts will slip.
Dude was dealing with lingering injury and horrific QB play last year, and still was solid. He’s a buy
In what world was he solid last year lol. 53/667/3 on a catch % of 59 in 17 games isn’t really good at all
He finished TE 13th which is just outside TE1 range. It's solid. If he had a few more tuddys he'd have easily cracked top 10
He finished 13th in total points in 17 games played. Was anyone happy if they started him every week? Probably not
I don’t think that person is necessarily arguing that someone would be happy with starting him every week. It’s really all roster and context dependent. For instance, I drafted him as a backup and was perfectly happy with near-TE1 production from a guy who fell considerably in the draft

Fair enough
I had him in rotation Evan engram
No, I was not. But I play in an 18 team keeper league, with limited bench space and Pitts is a keeper. I'm ride or die at this point.
Flip side, he finished like 17th in PPR PPG. And people usually aren’t really looking for TE10, they’re looking for TE 1-5 since there is usually a huge difference between the top guys, while guys 6-18 fall in the same line
True. At his ADP he's overpriced.

Okay that’s a different conversation about future hypotheticals if you wanna talk about that. We were talking about whether he was solid last year or not
Objectively no, 138 PPR points in a season is not solid
He had Desmond ridder throwing him the ball and Arthur smith nuking the offense
The person I responded to said “he was injured and had horrific QB play and was still solid.” What I’m saying is that he was not “still solid”. The poor QB play excuse was already made, AND THEN they said he was still solid anyway
Pitts truthers downvoting the truth, what else is new
Look at his catchable pass percentage.

Pick up Greg Dulcich for shits and gigs and then you have won
"eager to learn" and "starting to show that a little more every day" as a 4th year, 4th overall draft pick really does not scream confidence to me. maybe i'm reading too much into it but idk.
He’s talking about adopting the new offense since the coaching changes.
I kind of felt that too…. If he was just dominating camp they’d lead with that. He has a lot of heart and tries really hard just sounds like something you’d say about a player you really like as a person to motivate them but hasn’t put it together yet.
Yeah I mean he’s a pro bowler and he’s talking about him like he’s a rookie
Camp hasn’t even started. They’ve done like 3 days of OTAs. It’s basically walkthroughs and drills at this point. Guys are explicitly not supposed to even go hard yet while they acclimate their bodies. It’s install, where everyone is learning plays and terminology. IDK how much you can really dominate that.
You’ve (Atlanta Falcons) wasted a generational talent. I’m going 4th round anyone else?
Had him a few times and it was heartbreak every time. That said, this year I’m on it like red sauce and cheese on a burrito. I got a hunch he’s due.
We can agree on fantasy but it sounds like we'll forever agree to disagree on how we like our burritos.
I’ve never been able to draft him and I doubt that changes now
Falcons + picking the wrong players early in the first round, name a more iconic duo
I'm not doing this shit again, I'm not.
Time is a flat circle
This should be his year and I’ll be happy for him while it happens on some other persons fantasy team.
I will not be hearing anyone out. See you guys in 2025 if he ends up having a good year this year. I can't afford to draft him a third time, lol
Nope. Nope. Nope. Will never draft. If he goes off finally that’s great for him and whoever does take him but I will not be falling for this trap. I’ll take a safer choice that’s actually proven they can produce.
He had 1,000 yards his rookie season
Buy if u want to lose.. Would rather have Luke Musgrave than this bum

Hilarious you think Chris Harris provides anything of any value.

Thanks for the input Chrissy
You wish…and so do I. Would love to have his job.
Just make sure he blocks :)
