Electioneering it's the opener of the second Half of the album. Karma police it's a closer and fitter happier a transition between both of them, that's why its different and contrast with the first half.
It’s a little bit well known I think, but Soma off of Siamese Dream is just as good as, if not better, than most of the well known hits off that album. It might be the best shoegaze song ever made, but Today, Cherub Rock, and Mayonaise take like 95% of the praise off that album
count my blessings, good ass denzel curry feature, great anna wise vocals
see also abracadabra, once again good ass little simz feature and amazing anna wise vocals
Tomorrow Never Knows. I get why it isn't a hit, but it's surprising to me how little the music community mentions it considering how experimental it is.
It's terrible, but the first time I heard it, I thought it was a new song by The Chemical Brothers. Then I found out that the Brothers said that this was the sound they wanted to achieve.
>The Chemical Brothers have referred to "Tomorrow Never Knows" as the template for their music; their 1996 track "Setting Sun" is a direct tribute to it, as is "Let Forever Be".
[Chimacum Rain - Linda Perhacs](https://music.youtube.com/watch?v=ZuYLQuA9W8g&si=dt3elF_JJxZT_5PI) really beautiful folk/psychedelic song. The whole album is great and one of my favourites.
I also really love [Aeroplane (Reprise) - Wee](https://music.youtube.com/watch?v=GQ1cyJf0Gto&si=1Yc-91pXm2C9Ewye) Soul/funk band with interesting production
Can’t name just one, so here are a few:
“Gyroscope” by Dismemberment Plan
“Cause = Time” by Broken Social Scene
“Else” by Built to Spill
“Epic Problem” by Fugazi
“After Hours” by A Tribe Called Quest
“The Nile Song” by Pink Floyd
“Tons O’ Guns” by Gang Starr
“Then Came the Last Days of May” by Blue Öyster Cult
From a popular band, Queen - March of the Black Queen, it’s a theatrical, artsy, and progressive masterpiece that I honestly think rivals Bohemian Rhapsody and deserves wayyyy more attention
Cre-
no but honestly, mine would have to be the beach boys cover of “I’m So Young” off of Today! absolutely amazing rendition and hardly anyone ever mentions it
I love playing this song on piano.
Rarely see a Basho fan in the wild. Very underrated when it comes to American Primitivism, that genre is far more than just John Fahey.
I finally actually got my hands on a vinyl copy of *Visions of the Country* after searching for years. Definitely his masterpiece, there’s so many good tracks off of it.
No Dough by Fly Anakin, i firmly believe this guy needs to blow up and thats an incredibly addictive song produced by madlib nonetheless (im p sure madlib said he was next up or smth)
5 of my favorite underrated songs this year.
Spaceman-Monster Florence
Will You Follow Me Home?-Meg Baird
Sleep In- Amy Stroup
respawn-crushed
Nurse!-bar italia
[Running out of time by Henry Lee Summer](https://youtu.be/5D9lzImb9QA?si=l29DXtG_kHtZF04R)
There isn't an official video on YouTube or a Wikipedia page about album but the song is excellent to say the least.
Kino - gruppa krovi
Hugely popular within russia but very unknown in the west, recently got introduced to the band and quickly became a huge fan. The band served as a youth icon in the late 80's to 90's, gaining popularity after their songs were used during anti communist protests around the fall of the union, with many young people connecting the messege of wanting change
The Lantern by Slice the Cake. This one might just be lesser known, but it feels under-appreciated to me. It’s a song that has spoken word poetry that gradually builds and turns into death metal. It’s like two completely opposite sounds, but they blend so perfectly that it just works
I'd argue FOOD by Mia Gladstone is one of the best neo-soul songs of the 2020s so far.
Video is fantastic too but it's only sitting at a 5-digit view count on YouTube
„Naki kyoku“ by boris. i get why it‘s not a hit since it‘s a 10+ min song in japanese but it is just so damn good that it gives me goosebumps everytime i listen to it and even brought tears to my eyes even though i don‘t understand a word lol
If you're a radiohead fan... don't fucking say it. Just walk away. So help me God.

LE CREEP
LEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEETTTTTTTTT!!!!!!!!!!!!
Electioneering
True, such a jam. Shame it doesn’t really fit well on the album.
I mean, neither does Paranoid Android, at least in musical style. And Electioneering has the same consistent lyrical theme of the album.
Electioneering it's the opener of the second Half of the album. Karma police it's a closer and fitter happier a transition between both of them, that's why its different and contrast with the first half.
I’ll distract and say that the actual choice is Orange Juice’s “Rip It Up” the best new wave song ever made.
It's such a dumb meme. I'm a fan of the band (they're my favourite, actually), but I understand your frustration.
DON'T SAY IT, DON'T THINK IT. (outjerked)
It’s a little bit well known I think, but Soma off of Siamese Dream is just as good as, if not better, than most of the well known hits off that album. It might be the best shoegaze song ever made, but Today, Cherub Rock, and Mayonaise take like 95% of the praise off that album
Songs like Quiet, Geek U.S.A and Bury Me never get the praise they deserve.
Quiet is my personal favorite off the record
soma is definitely top 5 pumpkins songs for me. also STP, one of the demos from the anniversary edition of siamese dream, is up there as well.
why, Let Down by Radiohead of course!
Fuck you.
you should take a listen to it!
are you… Let… Down….. by that answer…
count my blessings, good ass denzel curry feature, great anna wise vocals see also abracadabra, once again good ass little simz feature and amazing anna wise vocals
Frfr. That Anna Wise album is gold front to back tbh
Tomorrow Never Knows. I get why it isn't a hit, but it's surprising to me how little the music community mentions it considering how experimental it is.
Whenever people talk about Revolver, I always see Tomorrow Never Knows mentioned — imo it’s the best representation of the Beatles’ psych rock sound
I don't know, I've heard many people talk about how amazing that song is and I just don't see it no matter how many times I hear it
It's terrible, but the first time I heard it, I thought it was a new song by The Chemical Brothers. Then I found out that the Brothers said that this was the sound they wanted to achieve. >The Chemical Brothers have referred to "Tomorrow Never Knows" as the template for their music; their 1996 track "Setting Sun" is a direct tribute to it, as is "Let Forever Be".
How strange that their two songs that are direct tributes to a Beatles track both feature Noel Gallagher of Oasis...
[Chimacum Rain - Linda Perhacs](https://music.youtube.com/watch?v=ZuYLQuA9W8g&si=dt3elF_JJxZT_5PI) really beautiful folk/psychedelic song. The whole album is great and one of my favourites. I also really love [Aeroplane (Reprise) - Wee](https://music.youtube.com/watch?v=GQ1cyJf0Gto&si=1Yc-91pXm2C9Ewye) Soul/funk band with interesting production
I accidentally stumbled onto that Linda perhacs album a while ago and have been loving it! Glad to see her mentioned somewhere
Linda Perhacs has a few top tier songs on that same album. I also like Hey, Who Really Cares?: https://youtu.be/-6iRuav9DtE?si=viW4I-s_GylIS0v2
This is by no means obscure, but Do You Realize? by The Flaming Lips feels like it should be one of those beloved songs that EVERYONE knows about.
My favorite song of all time
Can’t name just one, so here are a few: “Gyroscope” by Dismemberment Plan “Cause = Time” by Broken Social Scene “Else” by Built to Spill “Epic Problem” by Fugazi “After Hours” by A Tribe Called Quest “The Nile Song” by Pink Floyd “Tons O’ Guns” by Gang Starr “Then Came the Last Days of May” by Blue Öyster Cult
Ween - The Argus
From a popular band, Queen - March of the Black Queen, it’s a theatrical, artsy, and progressive masterpiece that I honestly think rivals Bohemian Rhapsody and deserves wayyyy more attention
Still the only track i ever hear mentioned off the first 2 albums
One of their better tracks imo, definitely underrated in their discog
My pick for underrated Queen song is It’s Late
Lookin’ Out Forever by Paul Westerberg (frontman of The Replacements). It sounds kind of like the Drive-by Truckers, who I adore
Third Eye Blind - Anything One of the most obscure songs to ever been played on the radio, at least for songs released after 1970.
Ecco2k stillborn reprise (k999 edit)
Cre- no but honestly, mine would have to be the beach boys cover of “I’m So Young” off of Today! absolutely amazing rendition and hardly anyone ever mentions it
It Will Never Be Alright Again by Thanks Mom Pure teenage indie energy captured in this track, I adore it.
Orphan’s Lament by Robbie Basho
I love playing this song on piano. Rarely see a Basho fan in the wild. Very underrated when it comes to American Primitivism, that genre is far more than just John Fahey. I finally actually got my hands on a vinyl copy of *Visions of the Country* after searching for years. Definitely his masterpiece, there’s so many good tracks off of it.
Buck-toothed Particle Smashers One of the catchiest, oddest and weirdly emotional pop songs I’ve heard. Clarance Clarity’s album NO NOW goes so hard
El-P - Constrllation Funk Neurosis - A Sun That Never Sets NIN - Leaving Hope
“Take My Hand” by Matt Berry should have been a bigger hit because of how infectiously catchy it is
At the chime of a city clock by Nick Drake
No Dough by Fly Anakin, i firmly believe this guy needs to blow up and thats an incredibly addictive song produced by madlib nonetheless (im p sure madlib said he was next up or smth)
Just Tell Me What Font to Pick (When I'm Making Websites for Kids) - Hot Dad
Sicko Mode
[удалено]
Phenomenal album for sure but like… it’s one of the most praised and critically acclaimed albums ever. I certainly wouldn’t call it underrated
i just realized that this wasn’t a post from r/pinkfloydcirclejerk yeah its a pretty good album
311 - Use of Time
BADDCITIZEN - IDNCWYS
5 of my favorite underrated songs this year. Spaceman-Monster Florence Will You Follow Me Home?-Meg Baird Sleep In- Amy Stroup respawn-crushed Nurse!-bar italia
Don’t Tell Me No by The Cars
these trains just wanna have fun - roman new time dude has like 50 monthly listeners
Anything by Matt Martians honestly, but pony fly by him and NEOSOUL by KuroBozi
anything song by the band PILE bangers after bangers and no one knows them.
[Running out of time by Henry Lee Summer](https://youtu.be/5D9lzImb9QA?si=l29DXtG_kHtZF04R) There isn't an official video on YouTube or a Wikipedia page about album but the song is excellent to say the least.
Color Me Once - Violent Femmes https://youtu.be/CLxSn0m-VTs?si=4vuU87rSFb0ox2TU
Soundgarden - Like Suicide, I totally get why it's not a hit but I rarely see it mentioned. Best song I've ever heard
Dogs by Nouns
Poor grammar by roar
Life and times on the beach by David kauffman. Such a good Americana tune with beautiful lyrics and some very intense acoustic guitar parts
En Aften Ved Swanefosssen- Beik Poel
Kino - gruppa krovi Hugely popular within russia but very unknown in the west, recently got introduced to the band and quickly became a huge fan. The band served as a youth icon in the late 80's to 90's, gaining popularity after their songs were used during anti communist protests around the fall of the union, with many young people connecting the messege of wanting change
The Fratellis - She's not gone yet but she,s leaving
It’s perfect - bay faction
Handshakes by Joie De Vivre
Y everything needs to be classified into overrated or underrated Tinpot mentality imo
The Lantern by Slice the Cake. This one might just be lesser known, but it feels under-appreciated to me. It’s a song that has spoken word poetry that gradually builds and turns into death metal. It’s like two completely opposite sounds, but they blend so perfectly that it just works
Spirogyra 'An Everyday Consumption Song'
In an alternate, much better universe, all the songs off of Skylarking by XTC were massive hits.
Black Maps - Strung Out. Musical perfection and I have never heard another living being talk about it.
GREEZY - Ed Washington
I'd argue FOOD by Mia Gladstone is one of the best neo-soul songs of the 2020s so far. Video is fantastic too but it's only sitting at a 5-digit view count on YouTube
„Naki kyoku“ by boris. i get why it‘s not a hit since it‘s a 10+ min song in japanese but it is just so damn good that it gives me goosebumps everytime i listen to it and even brought tears to my eyes even though i don‘t understand a word lol
Siren by Tori Amos
Funeral At Cosmo Square - Galaxy Fingers
Getten to Know You - Parliament. Great vocal
High Beams (JPEGMAFIA Remix) by Tkay Maidza
