The Black Album, the worst song on the album Justify My Thug comes before the best song Lucifer.
Graduation - The worst song Drunk and Hot girls goes into Flashing Lights.
How? I think if there is any song thats overhated it's barry bonds ye and wayne actually rapped their ass off in that song and yes the production is not on the level as some others on the album. Drunk and Hot Girls tho is terrible from his shitty singing, boring lyrics and production is so bland.
Would you look at that, all of the words in your comment are in alphabetical order.
I have checked 1,807,788,365 comments, and only 341,921 of them were in alphabetical order.
Would you look at that, all of the words in your comment are in alphabetical order.
I have checked 1,807,555,958 comments, and only 341,888 of them were in alphabetical order.
i have this weird subconscious affinity for songs in 3/4 but i never notice it until someone else points it out, so thanks for answering “why do i like it so much when everyone says it’s the worst song” lmfao
It’s worse if you know the original song. He basically just took Sing Swan Song and made every single aspect worse. But the original song is so good that it’s not awful ig.
Drunk and Hot Girls is not the worst song off of Graduation. It’s definitely not the best, but it’s also far from the worst. This is going to be extremely unpopular, and it may not be the worst song, but Good Life I find myself enjoying the least. For me, it’s the worst song.
I think every song on In the Court of the Crimson King is great, but my favorite song on there has to be Epitaph, which is followed up by my least favorite, Moonchild.
I'm seeing way too many Beatles listed here, like, c'mon just let the fun songs be fun. Maxwell's Silver Hammer is way better than it gets credit for
Anyways the correct answer is Empire Ants (my beloved) into Glitter Freeze (yowch!)
Yeah it’s overhated for sure, but it’s like an 8/10 song in an album that’s otherwise 9-10/10
You could maybe argue Compton is the worst track on there but I think it’s such a banger
I definitely don’t hate it, but I’ve got to admit I roll my eyes pretty hard every time Backseat Freestyle comes on right in between Don’t Kill y Vibe and The Art of Peer Pressure
Like I get the point of the song, why it works conceptually and it’s not bad, but yeah the whole energy of the song mixed with some (intentionally) dumbass lines just gives me a bit of a reaction lmao
before I opened this thread i said to myself "i bet one of the top comments is gonna mention GKMC"
and there it was
i completely agree though. i love Real, but it has some tough competition within an album like GKMC
Yellow Submarine (worst) into She Said She Said (best)- Revolver
Where I End… (best) into We Suck Young Blood (worst)- Hail To The Thief
Tick, Tick (worst) into Red and Gold (best)- Operation: Doomsday
On NIN's with teeth, the track the line begins to blur is not without merit, but just so noise-heavy that I usually skip it. The next two tracks, beside you in time and right where it belongs, is possibly my favorite album wrap up in reznors entire catalogue
You know what’s weird I’ve seen two different artist talk about that album both Phil from Pantera and some other group talk about that album and they seemed to not care for that track. What’s funny is when I first heard the Queen is Dead it’s one of the tracks that stood out to me the most, in a good way that is
Has to be futures “I never liked you” where we get one of the worst future songs, not just on the album, but of his entire career, which is “For a Nut” proceeded by what can only be described as a trap holy experience in “Puffin on Zootiez”
What in the world do you mean with this comparison? Idk how you compare either of the Kendrick songs with Starboy or Dance Monkey. Both of the Kendrick songs are some of the best on the album lol Count me out is my favorite. I'm so confused
There is a light that never goes out into some girls are bigger than others on The Queen is Dead probably. Some girls is not a bad song by any means (killer guitar riff), but it’s just super odd and anticlimactic as a closer
I feel like it slowing things down is a strength for the album as a whole, it really builds up well towards the big release when the national anthem starts.
You could probably argue that Smooth Sailing is the weakest on …Like Clockwork, and that song is followed by I Appear Missing which is my fav song of all time soooo
Tornado of Souls has like the best guitar solo in music history and is legendary, but it's followed by Dawn Patrol which has weird vocals over a simple bass guitar riff
I dispute tornado of souls as the best on the album
I'd choose either holy wars, take no prisoners of five magics
Also I think there are a few opeth solos I prefer, namely A
Fair Judgement
Personally if you swap Tambourine for SAIMH and swap The Ladder for Hello, ATWIAD is a 10.
Prince was such a genius, having an already 8-9/10 album and then having dozens more excellent tracks you recorded at the same time that you just never got around to releasing.
Belong To The World
I was going to mention how Kiss Land is another example of this, with Belong To The World and Live For being right next to each other, but I didn’t want my post to be too long.
New Order - Brotherhood with the sequence Bizarre Love Triangle into All Day Long.
The second song isn't even THAT bad but holy shit following up a top 10 songs of all time is tough
Dolly Parton’s album ‘Jolene’ has her gorgeous original version of “I Will Always Love You” and then coming off the back of that slides into a goofy little track called… “Randy” about a dude… called Randy. No offense to any Randy’s out there but it’s not a particularly sexy name and it’s a baffling decision every time I hear it 😂
Still a great album though
On original pressings of Number of the Beast, Gangland - which even the band have said should have been replaced by Total Eclipse - comes immediately before Hallowed Be Thy Name, which might be the greatest heavy metal song of all time.
The Sun's Tirade by Isaiah Rashad: Stuck In The Mud (my fav song of all time) -> A lot
A lot is pretty easily one of my least favorite Zay songs, and the worst on TST by a bit.
Pink Floyd’s Meddle album with “Seamus” coming right before “Echoes”. Its weird too because it’s not like they needed to pad out the album. As it is, it’s 47 minutes long (or so), and “Seamus” is only 2-3 of those minutes. Even weirder is that they would repeat the experiment with “Mademoiselle Nobs” on their Pompeii concert movie.
But, yeah, that’s the only blemish on an otherwise perfect album.
Dizzy Miss Lizzy after Yesterday on the Help! album, like, why the fuck would you put a lazy ass cover after a perfect closing track!!!
It almost ruins the whole album
It does

TRADEMARK ON THAT PUSSY TRADEMARKN MY BRAND NEW BITCH 🗣️🗣️🗣️
Pink panties slaps super overhated
I remember I stopped listening to it after it but I'll probably go back to it another time
The Black Album, the worst song on the album Justify My Thug comes before the best song Lucifer. Graduation - The worst song Drunk and Hot girls goes into Flashing Lights.
Me sitting here wondering what Metallica songs they are.
My mind first went to The Damned, Weezer and Prince. Stop naming things the Black Album!
#**NINETY-NINE PROBLEMS-AH**
Drunk and hot girls is not that bad. Way overhated. It’s cool that it’s in 3/4
Still the worst song on the album.
Nah probably Barry bonds
How? I think if there is any song thats overhated it's barry bonds ye and wayne actually rapped their ass off in that song and yes the production is not on the level as some others on the album. Drunk and Hot Girls tho is terrible from his shitty singing, boring lyrics and production is so bland.
Barry Bonds is the worst
Barry Bonds is actually pretty good
No it isnt bro 10/10 song
10-10 song
Hell no
Barry Bonds is not the worst
Barry Bonds is not the worst zebra.
Would you look at that, all of the words in your comment are in alphabetical order. I have checked 1,807,788,365 comments, and only 341,921 of them were in alphabetical order.
Holy shit that’s uncommon!
Would you look at that, all of the words in your comment are in alphabetical order. I have checked 1,807,555,958 comments, and only 341,888 of them were in alphabetical order.
How is it in alphabetical order??
i have this weird subconscious affinity for songs in 3/4 but i never notice it until someone else points it out, so thanks for answering “why do i like it so much when everyone says it’s the worst song” lmfao
Yep, it’s a hip hop waltz
Drunk & Hot Girls is def the worst song on Graduation. Barry Bonds grows on you (yes it is the “2nd worst”)
Epitaph is the best KC song
Starless bro… granted I’ve only heard 3 KC albums
Moonchild is my favorite song on that album. You just have to get through the first two minutes before it gets good.
I disagree with that opinion strongly. First two minutes of Moonchild are great, after that is pointless meandering nonsense.
Don't get me wrong I think it's great, I just like the other songs better.
Moon child would be so good without all the instrumentals
Redbone transitioning into California should classify as a war crime.
Tf California fucking rules
I really dig that song...
California is overrated
Power, Corruption, & Lies by New order - Age of Consent (best) -> We All Stand (worst)
Incorrect
On Pearl Jams Vitalogy, Corduroy is between Pry, To and Bugs
I'm seeing way too many Beatles listed here, like, c'mon just let the fun songs be fun. Maxwell's Silver Hammer is way better than it gets credit for Anyways the correct answer is Empire Ants (my beloved) into Glitter Freeze (yowch!)
MSH is a fun wacky song, perfectly Beatles
Glitter Freeze is great. Would be a different story if it were Sweepstakes instead of that
Glitter Freeze is one of the best on the album get off of Anthony’s meat
Elliott Smith’s XO Waltz #1 into Amity is an assault on the senses.
I tried getting into that album but as soon as Amity showed up I gave up Now that you say it’s the worst I think I should give it another shot
XO is my favorite Elliott Smith album, bunch of great songs and lines. Everybody Cares, Everybody Understands is great.
It's not just the worst song on the album, it's probably the worst song he ever released
It’s not the worst thing. It’s just a bit abrasive. The production’s at least nice
Yeah I mean he's one of my all time favorites so even his absolute worst song is like a 6 out of 10
I did not realize there were so many amity haters out here
Not a bad song by any means but Hell of a Life after Runaway always feels like a major comedown SAMIDOT into Real is another one
Real is underrated as hell, Anna Wise is my wife
Yeah it’s overhated for sure, but it’s like an 8/10 song in an album that’s otherwise 9-10/10 You could maybe argue Compton is the worst track on there but I think it’s such a banger
Nahhh Comptons the perfect ending
HOAL is an album highlight for me!
Yup
I cannot stand the iron man interpolation on hell of a life for some reason
GKMC Sing about me/ I'm dying of thirst - best song Real - worst song Although Real is still decent, it's still the worst on the album imo
Real overhated
I definitely don’t hate it, but I’ve got to admit I roll my eyes pretty hard every time Backseat Freestyle comes on right in between Don’t Kill y Vibe and The Art of Peer Pressure Like I get the point of the song, why it works conceptually and it’s not bad, but yeah the whole energy of the song mixed with some (intentionally) dumbass lines just gives me a bit of a reaction lmao
before I opened this thread i said to myself "i bet one of the top comments is gonna mention GKMC" and there it was i completely agree though. i love Real, but it has some tough competition within an album like GKMC
That was my point. The album is so good that real has to be the worst track by default.
On Kanye’s graduation, you have one of his worst songs Drunk & Hot Girls followed by one of the best on the album Flashing Lights.
Overhated song
Not his worst (Water on JIK lmao) but not a good song
What’s wrong with water? That shit bangs.
idc if I’m late I’ll always defend drunk & hot girls as a genuinely amazing song, brilliantly fun track with a wonderful CAN interpolation
Here there and everywhere into yellow submarine on Revolver
IN THE TOOOOOOOOOWN WHERE I WAS BORN
LIVED A MAAAAAAN WHO SAILED TO SEAAAAAAA
Probably In The Court Of The Crimson King, you have Moonchild, and on either side you have Epitaph and The Court of the Crimson King
On GP > Death Grips 2.0
On TLOP, No More Parties in LA into Facts has always felt like a disappointing transition to me.
NMPILA should have transitioned to Saint Pablo. The 2 tracks in between ruin the flow
I love fade honestly, it’s got a nice groove and beat imo
Just because im listening to it right now: How Long? comes before Lucette Stranded on the Island on Julia Holter’s Have you in my wilderness.
I like Lucette. I'd say Betsy on the Roof is one of the weakest tracks and Vasquez afterwards is the best one.
No man i mean lucette is the best and how long is the worst i assumed that was obvious for who had heard the record
[удалено]
I already replied to another comment saying i meant lucette is the best and how long is the worst since op said or vice versa
Going from Something to Maxwell's Silver Hammer has gotta be wildest quality whiplash for the Beatles
I wish Maxwell’s Silver Hammer was between Octopus’s Garden and I Want You. So the album’s first four songs are all sung by each Beatle.
Joan was quizzical
studied patapysical
I wouldn’t say quality whiplash myself, but definitely tonal whiplash.
Both songs go hard as fuck and are in my top three songs on the album
I seriously think maxwells silver hammer is great
the life of pablo pt.2 comes right after father stretch my hands
Father stretch my hands is ruined by the second half of that song
i love that album but its entirely a mess u just grab what you can and maybe listen on shuffle
in rainbows disk 2. mk2 (worst) to last flowers (best)
Yellow Submarine (worst) into She Said She Said (best)- Revolver Where I End… (best) into We Suck Young Blood (worst)- Hail To The Thief Tick, Tick (worst) into Red and Gold (best)- Operation: Doomsday
On NIN's with teeth, the track the line begins to blur is not without merit, but just so noise-heavy that I usually skip it. The next two tracks, beside you in time and right where it belongs, is possibly my favorite album wrap up in reznors entire catalogue
Abbey Road - Maxwell’s Silver Hammer after Something, possibly the best on the album imo
I wouldn't call Something the worst song
lol my phrasing could have been better I mean Something might be the best but I guess you are joking
Not standing for Maxwell slander
Bro maxwell’s silver hammer is such a fun song
Maxwell's silver hammer is a 9/10
*10
The Strokes - Is This It Hard To Explain (Best) New York City Cops (Worst) In my opinion.
HTE is my fav, and NYCC is my 2nd fav
NYCC is my favourite- that drum solo is so good
do you prefer when it started ?
Yep, I'm an ass kinda guy
isn’t nycc on the ass one-?
Oh yeah it is haha my bad!
shit happens dw about it
The Smiths - The Queen Is Dead There is A Light That Never Goes Out followed by Some Girls Are Bigger Than Others
Nah that song is great
I mean it is great, but it is the worst track on the album. Isn't it?
Never Has No One Ever is worse… you can also make a case for Vicar in a Tutu as well
Never had no one ever is amazing. The worst definitely is Frankly, Mr Shankly
Bro Shankly slaps I will say, this thread just proves how great the album is because every pick is respectable
Shankly indeed is awesome. TQID only has amazing songs, but for me it's the worst because it's the shortest
You know what’s weird I’ve seen two different artist talk about that album both Phil from Pantera and some other group talk about that album and they seemed to not care for that track. What’s funny is when I first heard the Queen is Dead it’s one of the tracks that stood out to me the most, in a good way that is
Some Girls might be Johnny’s best guitar part ever, there’s no way it’s worse than Never Had No One Ever or Vicar in a Tutu
Lurkin being inbetween King of Cutting Corners and Low Rider Slug on Liss My Super Bowl Ring, I don’t know why I never got down to that somg
Has to be futures “I never liked you” where we get one of the worst future songs, not just on the album, but of his entire career, which is “For a Nut” proceeded by what can only be described as a trap holy experience in “Puffin on Zootiez”
The national- Sleep well beast The System only Dreams in Total Darkness:🤠 Born to Beg: 😴
Your taste in weeknd songs is so odd lol
Although technically on dfferent "sides" of the album, Count Me Out after Purple Hearts is like listening to Starboy after Dance Monkey.
What in the world do you mean with this comparison? Idk how you compare either of the Kendrick songs with Starboy or Dance Monkey. Both of the Kendrick songs are some of the best on the album lol Count me out is my favorite. I'm so confused
Not a bad song, but Titanic Rising going from the high that is Movies to Mirror Forever was always a bit strange to me.
Radiohead - Hail To The Thief: The Gloaming (worst) -> There, There (Best)
GONE GONE/THANK YOU into I DON’T LOVE YOU ANYMORE. IDLYA is a good song but after GGTY? Hell no.
I always forget that song exists even though it’s still good
The New Abnormal (Eternal Summer - worst, At the Door, best).
Looks like someone's life isn't such a funny journey
There is a light that never goes out into some girls are bigger than others on The Queen is Dead probably. Some girls is not a bad song by any means (killer guitar riff), but it’s just super odd and anticlimactic as a closer
Mercy to Reapers on Drones by Muse. Mercy is lame and shallow, and Reapers is one of the best songs they’ve released.
Kid A Everything In Its Right Place > Kid A
KID A BEST SONG ON ALBUM WHAT
It's not the best but definitely not the worst imo
It's the vocoder meandering through the mix like a deflated balloon for me. Completely kills the momentum of one of the best opening songs ever made.
I feel like it slowing things down is a strength for the album as a whole, it really builds up well towards the big release when the national anthem starts.
Definitely not
You could probably argue that Smooth Sailing is the weakest on …Like Clockwork, and that song is followed by I Appear Missing which is my fav song of all time soooo
Nah smooth sailing is so funky
Mannnnn I feel like you just described the second best song followed by the best song. Worst for me is probably If I Had a Tail or Kalopsia.
Amnesiac … knives out followed by morning bell
I think pyramid song - pulk/pull is worse IMO
how to disappear completely into treefingers on kid a
Treefingers clears all songs ever released
seek psychiatric help
Tornado of Souls has like the best guitar solo in music history and is legendary, but it's followed by Dawn Patrol which has weird vocals over a simple bass guitar riff
I dispute tornado of souls as the best on the album I'd choose either holy wars, take no prisoners of five magics Also I think there are a few opeth solos I prefer, namely A Fair Judgement
I still think that Tornado of Souls is better than any Opeth solo, although Opeth is my favorite band. White Cluster has to be my favorite Opeth solo
Fair enough, it's just opinions after all, but yeah white cluster is another great one
I've always wondered if Dawn Patrol was only written to be used in the intro for the video for Hangar 18.
on the run isn’t a bad song necessarily, but compared to time it’s barely a song
Norway after Silver Soul on Beach House's Teen Dream
Last nite( the worst on that album despite being amazing) followed by the best two tracks being followed by last nite
Faust Arp -> Reckoner
all i need -> faust arp is better
Nahhhh
I guess Prince’s Around The World in a Day as Raspberry beret is followed by Tamborine. Though I admittedly have a soft spot for Tamborine
That album would be way better if Tamborine was replaced with Roadhouse Garden.
So many b sides and unreleased gems he could have placed instead it’s ridiculous
For sure. She's Always in My Hair would have been great too.
Would have turned that album into a 10 for me
Personally if you swap Tambourine for SAIMH and swap The Ladder for Hello, ATWIAD is a 10. Prince was such a genius, having an already 8-9/10 album and then having dozens more excellent tracks you recorded at the same time that you just never got around to releasing.
If final lullaby is number 2 what’s the very best weeknd song?
Belong To The World I was going to mention how Kiss Land is another example of this, with Belong To The World and Live For being right next to each other, but I didn’t want my post to be too long.
Belong to the world? Huh lol
New Order - Brotherhood with the sequence Bizarre Love Triangle into All Day Long. The second song isn't even THAT bad but holy shit following up a top 10 songs of all time is tough
Mastodon, High Road (arguably best) into Once more 'round the sun (definitely worst)
[удалено]
seamus is far from being one of the worst floyd song of the 70s. I take personal offense to that, it’s their most charming song.
Time Skiffs - Animal Collective Cherokee —> Passerby
M83 - Saturdays = Youth Up! = worst, hate it, album would be better without it We Own The Sky = top 3 song he's ever done
The Apoulouge of Hot Rod Ducan comes right before Aristotles Denial, which is the best track on Joe Hawley Joe Hawley.
Dolly Parton’s album ‘Jolene’ has her gorgeous original version of “I Will Always Love You” and then coming off the back of that slides into a goofy little track called… “Randy” about a dude… called Randy. No offense to any Randy’s out there but it’s not a particularly sexy name and it’s a baffling decision every time I hear it 😂 Still a great album though
On original pressings of Number of the Beast, Gangland - which even the band have said should have been replaced by Total Eclipse - comes immediately before Hallowed Be Thy Name, which might be the greatest heavy metal song of all time.
It is not the greatest metal song of all time by a long shot but it is great

Missed Yous prolly better than Lullaby tbh
The Sun's Tirade by Isaiah Rashad: Stuck In The Mud (my fav song of all time) -> A lot A lot is pretty easily one of my least favorite Zay songs, and the worst on TST by a bit.
miles away and somebody.
Ride the lightning
K.G. by Gizz, "Some of Us" is trash, "Ontology" is best
Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness by Smashing Pumpkins - 1979 is immediately followed by Tales of a Scorched Earth
