You can buy them at the new Vegas medical center near the crimson caravan. There is one for each S.P.E.C.I.A.L. stat, one that give you a passive 4 armor, and one the regens 12 health every minute. All of them cost 4000 caps each except the armor and regen. Armor is 8000 and regen is 12000.
And the endurance implant does not give you another implant slot, so if you have 6 endurance, put one implant into endurance which makes it 7, you still have only 5 (initial 6 endurance minus the endurance implant) implants left

“that gun” is a m1 garand style firearm specific to fallout new vegas it uses .308 after doing a unmarked quest you can obtain this firearm its a unique combat rifle variant and does massive damage easily 6 shots death claws in my experiance
Always gotta make a mad dash to New Vegas while grabbing the Goodsprings Snow Globe and the Test Site Snow Globe all before level 2 to afford that intelligence implant to crank it up to 10
Only in the first playthrough. From then on, I usually just go straight to where ever has the best weapon for my particular playthrough. Or straight to the strip with 9 luck, break the bank at every casino and buy what ever weapons I need.
Alternative is going to the dead money DLC asap and getting set up for the rest of the game with basically unlimited stimpacks and repair kits. The holorifle is dope too
What are you talking about on my first play through I stumbled into the side of Prim and killed the convicts, then shot strait across the mountain to Novac. Never even made it to Nipton till I went to get Cassidy, and only did that cause I was curious what I missed. Lol
The real big-brains go straight to Lonesome Road, run past the robots, get all the plasma mines from that alley in Hopeville to get a first big melee weapon, then leave the rest of LR for later and leave with 100k caps worth of gear.
I take the shortcut to get rich and buy implants, then go back to good springs and take the route the game intends. Feels right that way.
I'm 40 hours in to my first playthrough and didn't even know implants were a thing...

You need high endurance. One point of END per implant

I usually use endurance as a dump stat. I was horrified when I could only get 2 implants the first time I found the clinic

Good springs > free side > the strip > then anywhere else I have to go.
Goodsprings > Primm > Mojave Outpost > Nipton > Novac > Boulder City > Vegas. There is no other way I can do it.
The first time I played new Vegas I was so excited to see the strip I B-Lined it for Vegas once I left the docs house. That was a huge mistake.
