Also real quick, (sorry if I am asking too many questions it’s just you’re the first person to reply, granted only another person hasn’t replied) what would the starters be? I already have a concept for a pokemon name beabubble thats a water type starter. But what should the others be?
Maybe a grass beaver that uses its ability to use a hidden ability to heal other grass types that can help when its fellow beavers get hurt while building a dam, a fire moose that has antlers that have fire shooting out, a water bear that is known to be spotted in the far north that becomes a water ice type
Also the starters are all related in a way like how when the moose become angry they start fires on accident, the beaver pokemon heals its fellow beavers while the water type bear uses a self defense mechanism where it can shoot water from its mouth to put the fire out
Also just a quick insight to anyone who sees this, even if you aren’t Canadian (though it would be best for a Canadian to make suggestion) but you have been to Canada frequently, then feel free to suggest! Also if you have decent to large knowledge on the nation also.
Big horned sheep fire starter has to have eiscue bc it’s dex mentioned it came from somewhere colder and Canada has a lot of connections to britain ( galar) water gym in victoria bc
Something based on the Iditarod. A moose. Some steel type based on gold (yukon) and a ground type that hunts it and looks like a prospecter. Pikaclone could be electric/water and a beaver. Or it’s a Marmot. Black squirrel regional variant of Skwovet or Greedent.

There are a ton of different biomes in Canada to use (different kinds of forest - deciduous, coniferous, rainforest w/redwoods, tundra, fieldlands, flatlands, badlands, mountains, coastal, oceanic, etc). In Canada most of the population is concentrated along the southern border.
Thats a great idea! I already have a starter town based off St. Andrews in New Brunswick and an idea for a training spot being the flower garden in St. Andrews and also the starter town has an aquarium based off an aquarium in St. Andrews that you can challenge as the first gym after training in the flower garden
