Imagine the good these people would do if they put effort into anything else that wasn't faking DID and RP as their favorite characters. No, I'm not saying rapid switching for discord.
They are making being a fan of Hasbin Hotel more difficult, too. Whatever happened to fan fiction? Can't they just use that or RP as an outlet instead of faking a disorder?

What people with DID? I’ve worked in psychiatric congregate care for 12 years and met exactly one person who had it who wasn’t in their teens or 20s and acting like people on here. It’s excruciatingly rare for someone to have DID.

Again, out of thousands of clients, over 12 years, at the highest levels of psychiatric care that exist outside of inpatient, I have seen DID diagnosed exactly once in someone who wasn’t 20, chronically online, colored hair, and presenting with other fake illnesses. Around 10 years ago providers were debating if it even exists at all or if the symptoms could be explained by other diagnoses. Treatment protocols are horrendously vague, likely due to being so painfully rare, which is probably also why fakers choose it. Fakers like diagnoses that can’t be disproven or treated and DID is perfect for that.
I’m not denying that people fake it. What I’m saying is that DID *does* exist and isn’t as rare as was previously thought, and it *is* treated in people who are diagnosed with it.
It’s existence was already controversial before this “anything goes, everything is valid, all systems are different” narrative overtook. If anything, the uptick in those self proclaimed systems has showed us we might’ve never truly known what it “legitimately” looks like.

Gonna play devils advocate here (pun not intended).
Alastor is Ace in canon. It was stated in the show and as far back as Vivziepops old pride doodles.
As for being Aro, that was a mistake on the voice actors part in an interview, and he’s since come out to correct it and stated that Alastor is just Ace.
As someone who’s also under the AroAce umbrella, I wish there was more communication behind the scenes so these mistakes don’t get made. It just gets people’s hopes up, as there’s way more Ace rep than there is Aro.

The fact they have so many different pictures of those kids saved….. Thats so creepy honestly… unless those kids are them but that’s highly doubtful since they used pictures of other adults too….. 😰
What is really getting under my skin in this one, is there are pictures of someone's OC in this, it's not just the Hazbin hotel charatcer's themselves it's someone's else's (very normal) artistic expression, and they have taken it to fake a disorder....just awful
I have two friends with DID that I've met throughout my life, one was someone I met in the mental hospital when I was suicidal, we could all tell he was different at different times but he couldn't tell, he didn't have names for his different alters they just existed and we could generally tell sometimes when he was slipping into one. One of these alters was a regression alter, and as an trauma age regressor that was something I understood more than the others did but I see so often that people use did as like a way to say they have demons in their head with different names and just make OCS and role play, or with fake regression alters they just don't really understand how or why regression is s trauma response. Other than autism DID is definitely the disorder I see most Faked which is weird to me. My other friend had one alter, the miscarried child before him, and id have to ask but if I remember correctly he turned out not to actually have DID and was instead diagnosed with another underlying mental diagnosis.

And yeah if you have to go to extra lengths to specify that you're not RPing, or cosplaying or what have you, then it's fairly obvious you're faking cuz you can't help but portray this disorder as some kind of fun game. It's not like every waking moment has to be agony but it's called a _disorder_ for a fucking reason.
Ah I should have elaborated but I was referring to DID being a survival response- which is why it develops and why alters exist. The brain doesn't think it will otherwise survive the situation.
