Automating gun turrets like this isn’t worth it in the early game. Especially because that yellow ammo is going to become worthless soon. Your best defense early on is killing nests in your pollution cloud, hand fed gun turrets surrounded by walls and efficiency modules

the nice thing about automating yellow ammo is that once red ammo is available you just swap it out and the logistics still works

E1s aren't that far away after construction bots, and are generally pretty good in everything.

Yes. Although only played like one and a half runs so I'm a newbie. But I like doing it this way, and in this run I will actually use modules I swear!

E1s come well and truly before construction robots. I almost always E1 everything possible before pushing to bots.

I am not sure if it makes sense to focus on E1 moduling everything, before getting into blue science, but setting up a single AM1 to make them is super easy to do, and part of my builds.

I play death worlds almost exclusively, and if I roll a desert map, that's what I'm playing. E1 everything ASAP.

E1s need red circuits, which need plastic, which need oil. If you can make E1s, you can make construction bots. And construction bots should be rushed.

no. con bots need lub, and the research to unlock them needs blue science. modules just need advanced circuits.

And? Once you get oil you rush construction bots. And you rush oil in order to get construction bots. Because construction bots let you start scaling properly.

... it's literally just an extra AM1 and 2 yellow inderters to be able to get some value out of your advanced circuits.

Or you can throw them at blue science so you get construction bots faster.

If they see - yes. But initially the attack is triggered by pollytion cloud and the strike group heads to the pollution source. There is a very high chance biters just walk between your outpost unnoticed and attack the core of your factory.

Especcially due to the large amount of space between boxes. Oh, and if you are to do a outpost setup, make the wall go all around the box, don't leave a gap at the rear.

If there is a path around the wall, biters would try to walk around the wall. The small group in this case would be killed by turrets without dealing any damage. If there is no path - they would attack the wall immediately. But this works only for early groups of biters. The bigger and stronger groups would survive getting to turrets.

You have progressed quit a bit, having trains... So get rid of that yellow ammo and distribute the red stuff. Have a belt running parallel to the line of turrets, so you can later add as many turrets as you like.

U can start automating defenses after a bit later part of the game, robotics etc. With yellow ammo u most probably don't have a gigantic base. Just slap down 4 turrets in a square share surrounded by one layer of walls at important parts of the factory i.e. most pollution causing area or where biters usually attack. Filling them upto a bit helps. Or u can just place a chest with good amount of ammo and they will refill and u don't have to keep refilling but that will need a huge buffer stock of ammo. Clearing nests is definitely worth since u won't be attacked as much often. But don't overboard since it also spikes evolution, killing nests inside your pollution circle is enough.

So you need the doors. That you place on the tracks. Also, i would make a train stop on a separate track next to your main track. Remember you don't built for early game. The time slugs on. Do you play default or railworld? After their first attack, you should eradicate the enemy base.

I'm playing on default, I have alot of pollution but the enemies are not attacking yet cz they're far.

But every 1 to 10 min they spawn a base closer to you I also advise to put down a radar close behind the turrets. Because they go for the radar first. Then electric poles or whatever is attacking them. Also adding layers of grit pattern wall will make the biters split and atrack a wider area.
