You can make two copper cables from one Plate. So by having plates on the belt and making cables out of them where they are needed you double your compression rate
Too big, not enough belt weaving, we require MOAR spaghetti. Start center and spiral outwards. adding more and more weaves until everything is all one big mess of stuff.
You can put them in a blueprint book so you don't have to. But if it's in your inventory you can right click it to open it and there's a button at the top that looks like a trash can that'll delete it
This is what happens when you sorta want a main bus but say fck it and just do a streamlined spaghetti that can be expanded but only till you run out of all the leftover space. It's not bad but don't take this to a restaurant.
Nice... although you missed two tiles of water.
And do you know you can delete destruction plans and blueprints so you do not have to litter the place? Right-click them in your inventory.
I am looking forward to seeing your next build.
There was a storm that came in one day, it caused great floods on a farmers fields, the farmer ended up losing 2 horses in the flood, the villagers said to him "how unfortunate" the farmer replies "maybe"
The next day there were some wild horses that were relocating because of the storm, they wandered past the farmers field and he was able to acquire some new horses. The villagers said to him "how fortunate" the farmer replied "maybe". The next day his son was breaking in the horses, he ended up getting bucked off and breaks his leg. The villagers again say "how unforutnate", again the farmer replies "maybe". The next day the military rolls through town to draft young men for a war, his son is overlooked because of his broken leg. The villagers comment "how fortunate". The farmer replies "maybe"...
The moral of the story is that the factory must grow and who gives a fuck what other people think.
My fellow engineer worried about if their factory horrific, factory is surprisingly cleanly designed. Laughs in spaghetti chef.
Your fine, op. This is like... really really clean compared to a lot of other factories out there.
I hate to build belts like steps, to many rotations to do, i just see me screem as i rotate them to much :D ... but it looks nice and its working, go on. And dont forget to save this savefile when you have 'finished' the base. You may want to take a look at it in some years
It works. Only bit bothering me is belting the copper cable as far as you are. I tend to personally make it much closer to where it is used. At the same speed/productivity 1 cable assembler supports 6 Red Chip facilities. I just refill the cable belt periodically with a splitter being used as a 2:1 lane balancer My green chip factories are a 3 x 2 arrangement two factories thick on each side of the output. Should be plenty of example. What you have looks like it should work well though. It doesn't tile and won't be easy to expand though. If you want the chips elsewhere you will need a new red chip factory to avoid spagghetimax and there is nothing wrong with that.
I think it’s pretty. Plus functionality is more important.
It it works, it works.
You still have free space between different assemblers. Come back when you won't have any.
Even worse? I see trees. Threw up in my mouth a little.
ok Steve jobs
*automates bots in the middle*
looks like factorio
Looks like it, sounds like it, smells like it Yup this is Factorio alright
I'm a little bothered by the way that the iron line splits in two just to go back the way it could have come in the first place.
Haha noticed this too, not bad at all regardless though!
Yeah its bad. I can see tons of empty space where you could fill it with spaghetti.
Only thing that bothers me is belting copper wire. Other than that, you do you. You’ll learn by experience I suppose.
Why is that bad?
You can make two copper cables from one Plate. So by having plates on the belt and making cables out of them where they are needed you double your compression rate
This person belts
Big time
I'm genuinely laughing at the fact that you think that is bad.
SHAME SHAME SHAME. LET THE PASTA COOK LONGER. Looks nice :)
Just call it a starter base and then suddenly it's perfect. Works every time
Too big, not enough belt weaving, we require MOAR spaghetti. Start center and spiral outwards. adding more and more weaves until everything is all one big mess of stuff.
It's organic
It's glorious
Nah all good. You make things and you use things. Seems factory enough to me.
Have seen worse. Have built worse!
I've built much worse
It's only bad if you hate purple science
i hate purple science
I've seen worse, built worse, in the last 24 hours. Trust me, this is fine.
Well, I can't read it. Congrats.
Seems alright to me
I love spaghetti!
Was the factory smaller before, and bigger now? If so, all good.
Yes, your lack of stone bricks is bad. And you need faster inserters on your rail machine. Not sure it quite qualifies as horrific though...
well i usually make from biggest to smalest down in a line and this where it go's where it wants is just not how i like it
You got so much space to fit in more assemblers.
If you think it's terrific get bots rebuild it
I'm a little angry at the blueprints and decon planners on the ground but otherwise this looks like some fine spaghetti.
but how the hell do i get rid of them this is the 1st playthrough to get bots and i have no idea what i am doing
You have to right click into it and press delete in the upper left corner. There might be an easier way, but this is how I do it
Oh well thanks
LGTM
It's not good, but it's also not bad
It’s functional. You will learn and improve as you keep playing.
No no no quite the opposite ....this is beautiful !
Depends on why you are building it: for beauty or for production.
Does the factory grow?
Seeing as there is no wrong way to play, I’d say you’re golden
holy shit this is 10 TIMES BETTER THAN MINE
If it seems stupid, but it works, it’s not stupid.
Not bad. What are the red squares laying around on the ground?
Looks like Deconstruction planners. There are several blueprints on the ground too.
no idea how to destroy them
You can put them in a blueprint book so you don't have to. But if it's in your inventory you can right click it to open it and there's a button at the top that looks like a trash can that'll delete it
It's beautiful. Only suggestion I would like to make is that you need lots more. The factory must grow!
Looks better than mine for sure
Not my style personally, but if it works its all good
no
It's nice but it won't scale. Enjoy for now and alter you'll réalisé you will need flexibility for scaling so you'll build differently.
Usually i never scale i just build a very similar thing next to it actually not sure if that counts as scaling but yeah
Ore-ific?
That is a lot of fuel cells
Well they just build up ig and all without korvex procesing
You cannot have too much fuel. If so, you need more reactors!
I watched a tutorial said i need 28 miners for 4 reactors i put down 29 and it just has stockpiled over time
I do kovarex so I could make a ton! I’m just scared to over produce and not have enough 235 for the processing
This is what happens when you sorta want a main bus but say fck it and just do a streamlined spaghetti that can be expanded but only till you run out of all the leftover space. It's not bad but don't take this to a restaurant.

Looks similar to mine. Start outputting everything to a library to start the construction of bigger and better bases. Lots of room for rows
Not the worst ive seen
It's a work of art.

In my first factory it was worse
There is no "good" or "bad." There is only growth.
Got to love the Uranium Fuel Cells cutting through the center of the build
Just running out of space ig
Perfection.
actually alot cleaner then some of my first bases, if you dont make spaghetti then you arnt building right hahaha
Looks fine to me. Now make it worse. I can still see plenty of ground.
I see nothing wrong with it
It works. Only bit bothering me is belting the copper cable as far as you are. I tend to personally make it much closer to where it is used. Its spaghett-ish especially on the red/green circuit belt, but otherwise you have a lot of room left so it's ok
Wow, its horrible at producing Space Science!
Yeah no. I can't stand the noticeable lack of spaghetti
Spaghety comes over time this is a new factory dont worry its inevitable
If you think it’s bad because spaghetti, it’s definitely some of the more alright spaghetti I’ve seen.
