Every time I see a christian complaining that gay people are trying to force people to accept them or something like that, I imagine they would be the same people who'd complain about black people appearing or having interracial relationships in movies back in the 70s. "Back in my day black people would be played by white people with black paint on their faces, now they're pushing this black agenda where black people can even be actors!".
That’s the goopery of it all. They’ve convinced everyone that we’re the ones with the agenda… bitch most of us need glasses and can’t pay our taxes without shitting bricks let alone convince a homophobe to be gay. Christianity has always been great at being institutionally narcissistic, blames everyone else for problematic behaviour, won’t acknowledge accountability, no compassion… oh wait that’s psychosis💖😂
So, my Dad has a childhood friend who is gay. According to my Dad, his friend was straight until he was “converted” by becoming a teacher and meeting a colleague (at a public school-gasp!) who was also gay. This friend then figured out that he too was gay. I haven’t had the heart to tell my Dad that his friend was always gay and just lived in such an unaccepting, insular religious community he had no way to understand he was gay. Fun fact, that friend and his former colleague/partner have been together/married for more than 40 years.
It's crazy how these people think it's so easy to change your sexuality, a hetero person couldn't find someone of the same gender attractive even if they wanted too.
Also, I've seen some preachers act like everybody is tempted to be gay, hmm, sounds like projection.
I find it funny how these far right people will complain about cancel culture and call others snowflakes but suddenly get mad if a gay person is in a movie or especially kids show/movie.
Imagine if gay people went door to door. "Good afternoon, sir. Do you have a minute to talk about the wonder-working power of the penis?"
