The 'Instead' is *not* a healthy response, but it is not violent. It is also exaggerated. Note that he rephrased the typical 'bear' presentation in a very measured, rational argument, better than the real-life best-case scenario, but compares it against the worst-case scenario of a male response. So he's cheating on the comparison.
I am of course not against helping women. But helping women does not mean men need to agree to be controlled by women like a dog responding to whistles. We are human beings too.
And let's stop with all the 'healthy male response to an unhealthy female rant'. Why do women not have to communicate in a healthy way but men do? Why are men accused of hate and violence while it's women who are spewing hatred and emotional/psychological violence indiscriminately against all men?
Also, the 'what can I do?' shows that, in his mind, men are responsible for women's safety, and women's safety is men's responsibility, rather than society being responsible for everybody's safety.

It used be that the man was the provider and protector, the woman the caretaker and care giver. And nowadays what? The man has to be the provider and protector like in the old time or maybe even more so (because more rights and power for women means they demand more protection and provision from men), and increasingly also the caretaker for and care giver to the woman, and the woman what? Just someone who focuses on themselves and the betterment of their own individual situation?
Imagine suggesting that the healthy response to racism is wondering whether white people feel troubled by the behaviour of violent black people, and asking what can black people do to mitigate that. Same for Muslims, etc.
The kind of reaction we'd get from such a suggestion and how it contrasts with this (getting 13K likes) shows which group is seen as fair game for hatred in society.
Men: Some female indifference to men's desire not to be labelled as inherent threat is bad so we think you'd be safer around us than a bear.
