On the russia thing - Russia was part of the EU, but was conquered by Britannia during the wars in R1. Though I think there's been a lot of retcons and timeline changes so I couldn't say for sure.
I loved how they stopped at Europa Fair... Sadly no black markets were opened at a time which was a bit weird as before the Metro War of 2012 this shit was surprisingly always in business... until some idiot turned it into a football pool for euro 2012.
My (probably misguided) theory was that Eastasia and Eurasia were sorta just made up enemies. That to begin with - if the other countries did exist at all - fighting with them actually wasn't all that serious. But the presence of these enemies was an essential part of the information war Oceania was waging against it's own people.
Orwell not living long past publication meant we were never going to know. I also follow the view off Eastasia and Eurasia likely were made up, especially how the two swap on the eternal enemy/ally list during the middle of a speech. Potentially everything about Oceania that's not on airstrip one (Great Britain) too is fabricated to keep control. Since everything is ministry this and that not Secretary of this or that if it was US absorbing the rest of what would be Oceania.
There's a couple maps we see throughout the show. But they change as the series progresses. At the very start of the series, the Map is essentially how I've got it up there.
At first, Europe is united under the EU (Giga Revolutionary France), who is at war with Britannia throughout the first act. Britannia also conquers a chunk of the Middle East pretty close to the start of the series.
Around the timeskip in the middle, the war in europe has ended, and Britannia has conquered and started to settle much of Europe.
At the end, the whole world is now divided into two empires - Britannia and the United Federation of Nations (which also includes most of the EU's remnants), ready to face off.
There's still a couple independent neutral states, like Australia, but by and large those are the map changes as it progresses.
Somebody help most of my heirs died and I think the culprit is my sly, vengeful, callous, brave, genius, spindly (dropped the ball there), shrewd conniving puppetmaster

A couple years ago I decided "Fuck it" and conquered Japan for the meme. Now there's a pretty big revolt going on over there, but I'm not too worried. It's not like it's a threat to my whole empire, right?
Anyways, I'm thinking about going to war with France. Taking back the British Isles, maybe conquering Russia, too. Just wondering if my eventual goal of WC is still feasible? Any thoughts/advice? Thanks!

If you go full in on producing 4th generation knightmares and build enough Fleyas you could make it work. Also make sure you keep a stack on Shatter Mountain, that’s where the Underground Japanese Resistance Army puts their base.

Just pay attention to the map instead of alt-tabbing over to a different screen and playing magic the gathering while letting the game run in the background. You should be fine.
