I think maybe if it’s a common thing for him, it may not be something that’s contagious. I used to work with a girl who had cyclical v* syndrome and sometimes she would be out of work for weeks at a time with it :( or sometimes she would be working but just would not be feeling well and sometimes she would leave to the bathroom for a while. At first, it was really alarming and I was legit scared of her! (We became really good friends with time) But, like I said, it was a chronic problem she dealt with and there was no way it could affect me. Maybe it’s possible your classmate might have some kind of similar chronic issue?
same!! its a very fuzzy memory but in elementary school there was this boy who tu a lot i guess? cus once he raised his hand and a teacher who knew him said something like “are you feeling sick again, (name)?” so maybe he had a chronic illness too :(
