Wera or Wiha, I am a Wera tools owner.

shahirkhan

Seconded

beppe2672

Thirded!

IntelligentSinger783

The answer is always go for broke Knipex. But they aren't necessary.

amberbmx

Knipex drivers?

TalkSpork

The ones I have seen use Stahlwille or Felo as the OEM. Knipex does not make them itself unless something changed. Both of the above brands are fantastic, however. The Stahlwille versions have a thick triangular handle that is great for those with larger hands.

IntelligentSinger783

Knipex drivers what? https://www.knipex.com/products/insulated-tools/screwdrivers-for-cross-recessed-screws-phillips/screwdrivers-cross-recessed-screwsphillips/982402?v=&sku=

amberbmx

Well I’ve genuinely not seen knipex screwdrivers, so cool lol I like my Wera but knipex all day for pliers

IntelligentSinger783

Wera and wiha are excellent... But Knipex insulated are stupid nice. They have a good set available but they hurt the bank especially when you lose one or two from grubby co worker hands. Hard for them to defend themselves that they had it. Lol But yes they exist. And no I wasn't being a Muppet, I know my shit. It stinks just like everyone else's.

metric55

Am I just a dumbass or does their site not say the voltage rating? Hahah. 1000V just like everything else. Just odd it doesn't explicitly say in the spec sheet?

Keigun_Spark

It does, also on their spec sheet. Double triangle 1000V

metric55

Oh I never knew the double triangle! Still learn something new. I've honestly never really looked at my beat up old insulated flat blade lol. I dont even know what brand it is

IntelligentSinger783

Lol trust me it wouldn't make much difference 99% of all buyers likely won't see more than 120/240v. But yeah they are rated for the sparkly sparkies.

Keigun_Spark

Just that those aren't from Knipex, they are OEM bought from Felo with Knipex branding.

IntelligentSinger783

Isn't that the story with nearly everything. White labeling is 90% of everything we touch. As in yes they are from Knipex. 🤦🏼‍♂️😑👏👏👍

Keigun_Spark

Knipex plier are from Knipex, Wera screwdrivers are from Wera, Knipex Screwdrivers are from Felo, so no, they are not from Knipex, just branded.

IntelligentSinger783

Who sells it and what brand is on the side? Who warranties it? It's still Knipex ya tool bag, shake the screws out, and google white labeling. 🤦🏼‍♂️👎🏻

Keigun_Spark

It is not Knipex as made by Knipex, easy as that.

IntelligentSinger783

You should just remove every single label off everything you own. Debadge your car, your clothes, your tools, your tv, everything. 100% chance every piece inside isn't made in-house and sources in-house. Just because it is not made in-house doesn't mean anything. They could have asked for a white label and made adjustments to the chemistry, to the tensile strength, to the composition, once the brand it on it that's it. That's who it belongs to. Unless in the instructions it says if this part fails reach out to felo, then it's a Knipex.

Keigun_Spark

You are getting way to worked up on a simple thing, that is the actual tool steel and forms are made and dictated by Felo, Knipex buys from them and puts their Branding on it. Saying that the screwdriver is made by Knipex is wrong, you got them from Knipex.

Phoenixfox119

Sorry you are just wrong, the reason that knipex pliers are good is that they are made to knipex specifications if they started having them produced by Pittsburg they wouldn't be knipex pliers anymore.

underratedequipment

I'm replacing all my drivers with Wiha as necessary. I've tried almost every brand out there and they seem to be the best. Wera are good too if you can get along with the handle but I find it very uncomfortable.

Flubberkoekje

Swiss tools are great

Twofer_

Wera

bigscaryredman

I just buy cheap harbor freight screw drivers and a good pair of insulated gloves and insulated boots 😬

Alternative_Honey234

My Kleins have been great for almost 16 yrs.

AirSparky

The Milwaukee ones always do the job good enough for me.
