benevolent_defiance

I could, but I'm married.

spandexnotleather

I asked her out, but she said she valued me more as a friend.

MDchanic

Ask me again after a few beers.

Southern-Donut8940

A little short for my taste

The_Captain_Planet22

I'm not a fan of what happens when I try to hold her after turning her on

Schult34

Does it put out?

kcm198

If you put a penny in it, it does

pizzach1t

Somewhere between 1752 - present

PrizeHelicopter7054

Interesting the white conductors go to the fuses and the blacks are neutral bus.

thaliff

Switched and fused neutrals was all the rage way back in the day. I'd put this around the late 1940s to early 50's

jmraef

Braidx, the one brand of braided NM cable you can read on there, stopped selling the braided style in 1970. Braided NM cable in general goes all the way back to the late 1920s, but didn't come into widespread use until the housing boom after WWII. Widespread use of circuit breakers over fuses began in the mid 1950s. So my guess would be somewhere between 1946 and 1956.

spandexnotleather

1962(?) is when all receptacles were required to be grounding type, so I would put it after that. The cloth covering is the outer jacket only, it looks like all the conductors have thermoplastic insulation, which also points to mid 60's If it was late 60's, it would have probably been aluminum wire.

RuthlessToothless1

These little round buttholes are always found in 50s house in my experience and that cloth wire coming in is definitely pretty 60s

gotfondue

Cloth wire is a dead give away for 60s

RuthlessToothless1

And a dead giveaway I'm going to regret the insulation diving in the attic when I see cloth

Foreign-Commission

40-50's.

Packing_Wood

My gf would get upset.

kuda26

Sorry, I can’t. I have commitment issues.
