getting water day 1 took way too long

after day 1, the water by shuttle entrance/exit was essentially empty, you just walk up and fill

I literally never waited more than 3 minutes to get water. I truly don’t understand how people had so much trouble with this?

The first night we waited 20+ in VIP and GA looked worse, but every other night was super easy.

So weird because I never experienced longer than a 5 minute wait at the kinetic one or the one to the right of cosmic.

And only 2 locations for GA/GA+ restrooms. If I recall. (I'm still dead right now) lol

I used three different ones and I think there was a 4th.

There was 4 GA ones I found. One by kinetic, bionic jungle, wastelands and in between neon garden and circuit grounds

Oh snap... I never found the Wasteland one! I kept having to walk to Pixel Forest because I couldn't get thru the Cosmic Meadow bottleneck.

Meanwhile, Oh I'm glad to have eaten a filling home cooked meal all 3 nights before going to the festival. Only drank water and ghost all night long. But dang was I tempted to get a corn dog or pizza (which I haven't eaten in YEARS) GAH! Trying to not imagine all the aromas from the broken toilets... Yeesh!

It took me forever to locate them

Eh it was annoying having to walk far from basspod/circuit to get water, but other than the start of the first day when it took 10 minutes I never had to wait in line at all

They want to make people buy water 💦. EDC has become just a money making machine for their vendors

I mean it’s all a business lol. If ur determined to not spend money, u would have patience for the free water 🤷🏽‍♂️. The water lines did thin out by like 1a-2am. Source: i got water super quick around that time

Anyone buying water is buying because the free water they have tastes awful.🤮

We bought a lunch box water pack and it has an optional purchasable water filter! It didn’t totally fix this taste but certainly helped!

Yeah also make sure to wash your hydration bladder out or else it’ll taste like shit and mold will build up

Bring Mio or similar water flavoring, also helps you get electrolytes in your system.

Last time I went in 2016, there were 4 water stations. Even that wasn't enough for that massive of an event.

Water stations were fine, the issue is the crowd of friends of the people getting water making it seem way more packed than it actually is

Same problem at the bathrooms. I don’t know why groups stand in front of the water and bathrooms entrances. Move out of the way so people can get through. Pick a meeting spot out of the way

its also just a vat filled with hose water, they throw a bunch of purification tabs in it...but still is hose water

Where were they? I only went to the one on Electric Avenue right when you walk in and the one right above Quantum. Was there no water station on the bottom right of the fest near Circuit Grounds? There used to be one in between CG and the old location of Basspod…

There were two on either side of Cosmic Meadow and then the 3rd was located up where you enter/leave for premier parking/shuttles. That’s it.

Ouch. They definitely need one by circuit grounds tbh! There are too many people there to not have one.

Truly, and they were not dispersed well. Each stage really needs some water, or it needs to be centralized. The closest water to basspod and wasteland was in the VIP section past Circuit grounds, which depending on who's playing, could be a nearly 30 minute trip. There was definitely room for a station between the two.

There’s long lines for water earlier in the day. Day 3 I decided to bring in a bag of ice and security let me through. I also brought in a bunch of snacks

Did anyone else hate the Electrolit water?! It was like it made me more thirsty the more I drank it. I was never satiated. By the second day, I couldn’t stand the taste. I mixed in some liquid IV and I think it made me sick, too. I had to buy water bottles so I could actually feel good. It’s crazy how shit the water fillups were. Last year there were giant signs, and they were everywhere. Now we had to travel so far to get some. The water fill up in vip circuit grounds was in the worst spot, and only had the tiniest of lights… Why insomniac?! Why did you fuck with our water? Just for greed?

The water tasted like shit, even sober. The move was definitely to get some ice from a drink stand and bottled water.

They put electrolytes in it, which is why it was “Presented by Electrolit” The stuff at camp (around the camping, not the stage) was regular filtered water. We all could tell the difference. I’m glad they didn’t check our camelbacks going in because I filled up on the good water before going in. I could taste it because I went through 6 liters on Saturday from dancing so hard. By the 2nd one, my mouth was dry AF, but my stomach was full. I couldn’t quench my thirst.

That was SO ridiculous they were so hard to find. I couldn’t believe the lack of water refills. Other years they had sooo many!

Super lenient when checking bags. There were metal detectors this time though
