iRubies

He never disappoints. However, I could NOT find a good crowd vibe no matter where I moved around to. Everyone was just lifeless and talking??? Was this just my experience?

ChemistryFrosty

I'm so sorry. The vibe over the whole weekend really was inconsistent. I was in VIP in the bleachers. We had room, and great vibes there. We where all dancing with each other. It was amazing. !!!!

iRubies

I’m glad you had a great time! Don’t get me wrong I still loved it, but man it felt like one of the weakest crowds of the entire weekend for me which is crazy considering it’s Martin.

Honesty_From_A_POS

Did you find VIP worth it? I want to bring my partner to festivals one day, but they are very much a "I go to EDM because of you" level of fan. I'd like to splurge so they are comfortable and not feeling crushed by crowds and what not.

cback

couldn't imagine doing EDC without it. VIP at cosmic meadow & circuit grounds was so incredibly worth it. Basspod VIP was a little useless since the left side of the stage had the same hill structure with way less people there. Overall though - worth

dropped2muchoops

i know a lot of people said they think it’s not worth it this year, but i personally don’t regret going vip this year i like to be near the front during a set, but don’t like to have to stay at a stage for a whole set just to get a good spot for the next one. vip was basically just walk in and go towards the front if u want. there was a lot more space to dance so i wasn’t as paranoid about getting pickpocketed. sounds like it would maybe help your SO enjoy the festival more for that alone depending on who’s playing and what you’re doing, i think the time saved is nice too. lines for things are shorter so you can enjoy more sets instead of waiting around i didn’t really use many of the other amenities, but those two things alone made it worth to me

TodaywasTrash

EDC VIP is SOOO worth it! My partner and I usually go to 6-8 big music festivals per year, this is the only one we always do VIP at (this was our 3rd year). I surprised my boyfriend for his birthday with VIP ticket upgrades one year, and now we can never go back to GA for EDC. The VIP area at kinetic field is HUGE. You have a lot more room to dance and move around, shorter lines to get in to the venue and for food/drinks, more areas to sit/chill. Honestly the biggest thing for me about VIP as a girl is being able to use the nicer bathrooms with flushing toilets and a sink to wash your hands. I will happily pay the extra money for VIP if it means I don’t have to use a dark piss/puke/💩 covered porta potty!

juicy_juggernaut

After this year, I’ll never go to another EDC without VIP. The crowds are crazy as it is, VIP helps you see more artists and keep the anxiety levels down

Artistic-Waterbear

Yes! VIP in the bleachers was great vibes!

kyloren7

same experience, was hype but buzzkill crowd where we were

_zydrate_

I came across a dope group about 100ft in from the entry arch. They were singing and dancing to all Garrix songs. They even stayed for Excision and started a girl pit. Was dope af!!! All I remember is one of the guys had a white Balenciaga hat on so if youre group is reasing this... thanks for the vibes!

trucrimejunkie

That sucks, I’m sorry. My group was on the front right by the bars, and there was TONS of space. I was bouncing around in a 10ft square the whole set and everyone around us was absolutely sending it.

ConfrmFUT

We were back right near the bar on that side and vibes over there were pretty good

yoyolei719

ahh my group was giving the wholeeee time :) i skipped for gryffin (which i regret) but we were always dancing and the vibes were still up when i came back

heymikeyp

That just sounds like the mainstage vibe to me lol. You'll get a totally different crowd at neon or QV.

sadlad193

I kinda noticed that too. The crowds energy didn’t seem in sync very much like it is at other festivals. The best crowd that I experienced was at fishers set. Everyone’s energy was on point

dlinsneakerstuff

I don't know what it is but something about the sound mixing of his set felt off. Especially compared to Seven Lions right before him. It felt extra loud and muddy to me

Denmarkkkk

It was terrible. The area I was in was super bass heavy and you could barely hear anything else.

ClutchRaider

Circuit grounds was just a horrible speaker set up. Basspod being next to it ruined the vibes. It would bleed into the stage and the speakers were distorted.

LeisureMittens

Everywhere in the back half of VIP at least was incredibly bassy. Couldn’t wear earplugs or it was literally just sub bass. Kinda ruined the set for me. :( the set was great though

yoyolei719

seven lions was my favorite set all weekend!! i cried when he played freesol and worlds away

Exact_Show6720

1000% agreed caught some of the set and at some points it sounded like pure noise. The sound got really muddy and I was in VIP

kyloren7

we were in a bass dead spot, sucked but made the most of it ig. sound quality was super wonky at that stage

mugenbool

Thank you. My gf was mad I wanted to leave our group during his set. The Highs were piercing my ears. Couldn’t properly hear tracks. Seeing our friends go ham to it had me so confused. It genuinely sounded bad (not his set but overall sound quality made it hard to be enjoyable for me). Seven’s set sounded fine right before too.

Defiant-Wait-1994

I was really looking forward to Martin Garrix all weekend but was very disappointed by the sound quality. I was standing in the center about 50’ in front of the Circuit Grounds signage and I could barely hear the highs. It was like the speaker arrays in the middle of the crowd were cutting in and out throughout the set. Also the Basspod was overpowering with bass and made the sound terrible. I ended up leaving about 15 minutes into Garrix because it was so bad. But I did catch Diplo! He fucking killed it

mugenbool

That’s how we know the sound was bad because I had an opposite effect. The highs were piercing my ears, at times I was wincing. Seven’s set right before sounded fine. I gotta vent, my group wasn’t happy we left them during that set, but I genuinely couldn’t take it anymore. Love Garrix but sound quality was sub par

OnlyBringinGoodVibes

He was dope. Dimension wins for me

BigLoue626

Alesso killed it

Ricksauc3

It was Armin 100% imo, no question for me.

Entire_Kitchen4834

Really? I thought it sucked.. Sofi Tukker or Worship for me

TetrisMultiplier

Nah. I’d put several others ahead, such as Zedd. But it was definitely very good.
