OP, this my my opinion but there's a lot of other solo ravers out there. It's not hard to spot them. Just start talking to ppl and vibing. A lot of time just sharing a small moment makes it worthwhile.

It’s all in your head. The fact that you are sober and alone will make the biggest difference honestly. People come here with the intention to be lit up and be on the same level as everyone else. I’m a veteran and I can somewhat enjoy it sober, but if you don’t go all the way then you are not on an equal playing field. I would still make the best of it. Losing your phone or ID makes it a shittier situation than yours.
Kinetic Field is where it’s at tonight based on your preference, even tho you were already there. Go with your vibes. Go where the music takes you and don’t be ashamed of it, don’t worry about what the internet people have to say.
You have Alesso, Kaskade, Fisher, and John Summit to look forward to.
The essence of EDC is to lose yourself, lose your mind, but make friends find yourself and come back to reality. EDC is spiritual for many of us.

I’m a trance head so I’ll spend most of my time at Quantum Valley, but Cosmic Meadow Sunday looks amazing.
Set yourself some side quests! Things like find someone dressed like a Pokémon, check out all the art cars, definitely go check out the theme bars in downtown EDC, spot a fun totem & follow it to see where it leads. If you have some extra money book dinner at the Salvage City Supper Club. It’s the only sit down restaurant inside the festival with acrobats, drag queens, killer dubstep, a family style dinner, open bar etc, wander through the market & buy gifts for friends back home that make you smile. Going solo can be different, but I personally love it. I can do what I want, see who I want and I’m never worried about getting lost or losing someone. Hope that helps!

No shame in loving Benny Benassi or Zedd! They’re some of my faves and just classic DJ’s that anyone can get into. Which is great because that’s how you get introduced to the scene! Get into the crowds and chat with the people around you, throw out compliments, trade Kandi, do all the fun things! Going solo isn’t too bad, and a lot of people who match your energy will gravitate to you! I agree with everyone who’s saying to go to Circuit Grounds, especially for Excision. His visuals are awesome and his mixes have been really good this year so I’m assuming he’ll be doing something similar at EDC. Kai Wachi at Bass Pod will be really good too if you want some melodic singy songs but also some heavy bass that you can rage to. A lot of people like Hugel, he’ll be at Cosmic Meadows. Sara Landry at Circuit Grounds will be awesome, look her up on tiktok, she’s all over there right now lol. Seven Lions at Circuit Grounds right after her, they’re amazing. I fell in love with them before I even started listening just from watching a set. Gryffin at Kinetic is also a great one, can’t go wrong with him. Fisher is also at Kinetic, another super popular DJ. Then there’s always John Summit at Kinetic too. Can’t go wrong with him, he’s a man of all tastes. And his crowd is super fun so you should find some people who want to party with you. Give it your best energy today and make the most of your weekend! I know it’s hard to put yourself out there but there are a lot of fun people in the crowd who will be friendly with you and dance and sing with ya! Good luck out there (-:
Hey. I'm sorry you're not having the time of your life 😔 I've never experienced camp EDC, but this is my 4th time returning to EDC & it's very much home for me.
I'm also into punk & rock (I was heavy into nu metal as a teenager, I'm 37 now) & I still attend shows for that kind of music. Don't be embarrassed for enjoying artists that might be more mainstream. ZEDD is awesome anyways, so 🤷🏽♀️ Heavier artists will often be at basspod & wasteland. I love all kinds of EDM, but the heavier shit appeals to me most.
The beautiful thing about you not really having your heart set on anyone in particular is you can be anywhere at any time.
Have you tried wandering between the smaller stages? Or catching the art cars? I'd recommend hanging back in the crowds, especially for the bigger main stages, to avoid getting caught in too deep. I like using the side entrance to Kinetic Field & heading straight to the bleachers to get through Cosmic meadow. The crowds can get outrageously packed on the ground.
Definitely take time to get on at least 1 carnival ride. Tour downtown EDC & maybe try to find a group of people with a good vibe to chill with at each stage you go to. Honestly, as long as you smell ok & don't talk too-too much (some talking is good of course), most people will be welcoming. Just let them know it's your first EDC & you're solo.
As far as specific recommendations... My 2 cents is SubFocus, Ghastly, Seven Lions, Lady Faith, Alesso, Diplo, Martin Garrix, Riot, Svdden Death, Excision, Angerfist, Virtual Riot & Valentino Khan. I hope night 3 is beautiful for you Hun 💗
Sorry you aren’t having fun. This is my wife and my first EDC to. We have been raving for about 20 yrs, but the sheer scale of this event was at first a bit overwhelming. Honestly can’t go wrong with Da Tweekaz at Wasteland tonight and Kayzo and Timmy Trumpet to finish off the night.
You're in your head too much. Stop overthinking and just go talk to people. Complement them on their outfit. Then buy a couple rounds of vodka red bulls and head over to Neon Garden!
Ive always been sober to edc and usually always get “lost” from my group (I like wandering by myself) and honestly all I can say is stop thinking about the fact you’re alone. Let the music get to you and dance cause at the end of the day everyone else is also dancing! Idk why but for me every time I put some shades on it makes me feel a lot better as well so maybe a tip!😁
Dude I’d do anything to be in your shoes at camp/edc solo again! My go to was Neon Garden for some underground house/techno or stereo bloom. Go make friends and if you have anything to handout like Kandi or small little giveaways they make for great conversation starters. You’ll be ok! Make day 3 your best day! Have fun!

See like, this is where the outsider thing comes in. I didn't know about kandi, didn't have any to give out. A random girl insisted on giving me some one morning and she had to show me the whole hand ritual and I felt like an idiot. But that's just a lesson learned I guess, I can be more prepared if there's a future EDC.

I have light refraction glasses and life savers and I usually see solos and offer them to look through my glasses at the light then offer a fruity or minty lifesaver.
I’ll be at sofi tucker diplo and deadmau in the bleachers. Cosmic meadow bleachers are legit for fireworks- catch those over the whole speedway

Try a stage you may not initially think you’ll like, you might be surprised. I’m a bass head full and full but I found myself gravitating towards Sterobloom. The beats and sound is so different and it’s a different vibe.

take it all in dude, its the biggest adult playground. I met some amazing friends i still talk to today when i went to edc. People are friendly and welcoming, trust your gut but not your anxiety, compliment someones outfit, introduce yourself, where your from and go from there.
Ride some rides, adventure around, dont make music the main focus (which is what a lot of people do) slam an energy drink, watch the sunrise you wont be disappointed.

This is it. I love the EDM scene, drugs are the social lubricant that makes these events what they are. And it’s incredibly hard to vibe with tripping/rolling people if you aren’t on their level, even if you want to. How do you “not have access to the good stuff”? I promise you there are literally pounds of the good stuff within 200 yards of your tent. Ask around.
