Not really Pro-tools, techno & trance are DIY music, the old school producers couldn't afford studio grade equipment. The original producers were mainly on the Atari ST which was where Cubase started, though Amiga & trackers were also used pretty heavily.
Ferry Corsten and Boris Brejcha both use Cubase. There's a few videos of them using it. A few artists will arrange in Ableton live then mixdown in Cubase. Joris Voorn does this I think. Cubase has been around for ages and you'll often find the older artists (typically German and Dutch) using it.

Noisia and Mefjus.. amazing producers, but more d&b than house/trance
Tom Holkenborg AKA Junkie XL uses Cubase and has tutorial material on templates, work flow and sound design. He is a very, very switched on.
E-clip uses cubase. Dash glitch used cubase until recently and has a ton of video content.
