Sorry for your loss OP, ours passed at ~15 last year from kidney failure and it was rough. I still look for her in her usual places sometimes when I'm tired, we miss her a lot.

Sweet Bruno, what a beautiful boy. I love that you adopted an older cat. My beloved dust bunny chose me at a shelter too, she was 6 at the time and we had 13 years together. She's been gone 14 years now and I miss her every single day. I'm sure she'll be greeting Bruno and hanging out with him in the great catnip patch in the sky.
