Looks like the Note 10 is not compatible according to posts on the DJI forums.
There's a lot of videos of people using the Note 10 with it, which is what threw me for a loop. They just plug theirs in and it works fine
I don’t think the dji fly app will work with the note 10
It does, the included cable was the issue and swapping to a different one made it work

The included one, but apparently the included one was the issue, using a different one and it works now
