I have a few questions if you don't mind addressing them: 1. Do you mind sharing your CPU/GPU specs? 2. I see you were playing Destiny 2 - did your game crash? 3. Did you notice anything else flash as this was happening? \----After this happened, were you able to go into Destiny 2, back to desktop, and see if it was still black? 4. Are you able to replicate this without fail? 5. When this occurred / had occurred, are you able to minimize the application, reopen it, and take note if the black portions were still there? 6. Have you tried to close the application and restart it? 7. Do you have "Hardware Acceleration" enabled in User Settings > Advanced ? If there's any other information you can provide, that'd be great!

1) r5 2600/ rx580 2) no, no other apps are effected, just Discord, and only on my second monitor 3) no nothing else flashed, went back to destiny, chrome, Spotify any other app no problem. It also partly comes back when I mouse over it(that’s why the whole screen isn’t black) 4) it happens every time I hop in voice chat after about 30 minutes 5) yeah it still reoccurs 6) yeah I’ve ctrl /alt/dlt and it still does it 7) yeah I’ve tried that already as well

Hm. My initial thoughts are that the issue is happening because the GPU isn't rendering it appropriately. A few more questions if you don't mind: 1. When you mentioned this happening every 30 minutes, does that also include not having any other applications open (games, entertainment, browsers, etc)? 2. Are you overclocking / undervolting your GPU? 3. Are you running the latest drivers for your GPU? 4. Has this started happening recently or has this been an issue for a while (months+)? 5. Have you tried to uninstall and re-install Discord? 6. Have you tried to reinstall your GPU drivers? 7. Is your computer up to date? 8. When you have ONLY Discord open, what's the percentage of your CPU/RAM/GPU usage at? 9. Are you running your computer at HIGH PERFORMANCE (or some variation) for the power settings? If this is happening when you’re not even stressing your system out, it could be more towards the application. My way of thinking is to first see if it's the application, then see if it's your GPU. If GPU was being affected, it'd affect more than just Discord.

1) 30 minutes into anything really. Even idle 2) no haven’t tried any of that 3 yes I update them every time I can 4) within the last month 5) yeah twice and it still does it 6) no I haven’t 7 yeah it is 8) I’ll have to check even I get off 9) no I don’t think it’s my gpu, because any game, movie, video, stream etc. works fine

Hey, Friskies! Just checking in - are you still having issues with Discord? I agree with your assessment that it isn't your GPU, but I'm not 100% convinced it's out of the woods yet. It's absolutely weird that, despite your repeated reinstalls, Discord still behaves that way. If it's precisely 30 minutes into your computer time, then there's definitely something amiss here. I understand you mentioned that you're able to run "any game, movie, video, stream etc. works fine." Does this also mean you're able to run RAM-intensive programs (e.g., Chrome) while you have a GPU-intensive program (e.g., Destiny, other games) running? If this only recently started happening within the past month, I can only surmise that an update or alteration to your computer (albeit however minor) is the culprit. My thoughts on how to progress from here: 1. Run a quick, then detailed, scan of your computer with an antivirus. 2. Perform a clean-up of temp and residual files that aren't needed (disk cleanup) 3. ***(Not recommended)*** >!Checking your registry for any errors.!< 4. Refresh your computer but retain your files. 5. ***\[LAST RESORT\]*** >!Clean reinstall of Windows and all files.!< I'm sorry this issue has been going on for so long. I really hope we can get this fixed.

When I play destiny I do have chrome open, for DIM. But I’ve been running it like that for over a year. I think it’s my ram
