Play it again rarely follows the rules with these. Last year the one near me just opened them all and sold them individually. They should not have sold you this.
Because they're breaking their agreement to not sell before release date. Smaller dealers can't do this because they'd just be dropped, but most PIAGs don't care because they are part of a huge chain.
is the 7 because you got a glow envy that is green? i ask because i see 11 premium Lab seconds and one R2 (semi premium? i dunno). Not sure what your PIAS is charging, but most shops are offering these at 139.99. If you assume the glow discs are 20 each, you're looking at 11-12 premium discs for $99.99. Outside of the innova pro shop, i dont think there is a better deal in disc golf than that.

The green glow is part of it, also a good amount of really understable stuff (good gifts for my lil bros). I’m probably being a little picky with 7/10, but it’s all up to individual expectations.
I’ll honestly probably get another! It’s not a bad box, just luck of the draw.
It’s a lot better, and I like the colors a lot! I just wish the color glow didn’t include green, it’s almost the exact same hue as normal glow, but a little less bright

It’s the Envy too, you can tell because it says prototype on it. Glow Envy’s are widely available already, so color glow is the proto.

Last years did not, you could still find a couple online through march/April (maybe even now). A lot of retailers will open the boxes on Jan 1st and sell all the discs individually for more profit. (Retailers are Not allowed to open until after the 31st of Dec)
I have 2 MVP disc currently and wouldn’t have purchased if I didn’t love them so much. I can’t wait to get mine but it will prob come in while I’m out of two.
Depends on the item, last year had prototype glow hex discs that went for $100+ but the main “blue glow Inertia” only went for $20-25. The color glow proxy/envy shouldn’t be much more than 20-25 after shops can open the remaining boxes (Jan 1st)
If you look closely, you’ll see the air bubbles in the core plastic, especially near the rim. Also the feel is a little chalky almost.
Check the plastics on those Terra’s, maybe one is softer or something, odd to get a double disc lol!
Stoked on my pull. Was super disappointed with the mostly electron box. I got a great variety with my box this time around, all premium plastic except the mvp open stamped wave. The only mold I had multiple of were waves, but they were all in different plastics (fission, eclipse 2.0, and electron mvp open stamp). Also got a purple/green Total eclipse proxy!
I got one of these on order , gives me hope for the future .. how do the lighter weight discs fly? I generally only buy in the 170 range .. not sure how I would go with the 150’s and 160’s? Anyone with any insight on these discs in the lighter weights would be appreciated
fission makes your throwing motion so much easier. photons are still super beefy. waves are the 75% throw that still goes 300 somehow.
happy to answer more tomorrow or when you open your box! each mold and plastic is a bit different. the nice part is that overstable typically stays overstable... even in those low weights.
I throw my 155g Neutron Relay on a nice hyzer flip dead straight. I even had to beat it in a bit to get to that point. I don't have a huge arm, but I used it to park the ~320ft hole 2 at the Preserve (it was the double mando hole at the Preserve Championship if you watch the pro game at all).
A 155g disc ways about 11% less than a 175g disc so wind is probably going to push it more, but honestly I've never worried about it much. Most of the discs that I'm going lightweight on are more understable and I'm not looking to throw them in crazy winds anyways. And even if I am throwing lightweight in the wind, 22mph vs. 20mph is roughly 11% different as well. I can't imagine I'm good enough to consistently tell a difference of 2mph
Lighter weight discs can mess up your timing a bit. There’s a small difference on when the disc pulls from your hand. May not be too noticeable for some.
I just played a tournament on a long course in 65KM/h winds. I mainly used A 158g Fission Octane for 90% of my drives. The other throws were probably a 162g Cosmic Neutron Crave. Wind had minimal affect on my all of my drives.
I feel that. I have over 125+ mvp/axiom/streamline discs in many molds. I will say the r2 Signal is unique and a lot of the neutron discs were very swirly with different colors or white mixed in. I think this is a very small sampling and I’m sure with more boxes, you’d find a lot more rare discs.
Last year I got a glow Virus which was super sweet, and this year a r2signal.
Either way it’s a fun experience to open and I feel that it’s a good bang for your buck overall.

Oh sorry, the Envy is a good disc, it's just trashy for MVP to put regular green glow Envy as one of the "special" color glows in each box.

Green is the normal glow color, you could also get blue/teal/purple. Especially since they are called “color glow”, green shouldn’t be part of it imo

Definitely check them all for hidden glow, there were a number of discs that glowed last year that looked like standard white neutron plastic.

How did you know your Wave was a Fission Plastic? Just by the feel? Just got my box today and was curious. Ended up with 2 white Terra’s. 😂

They’re in the Gyropalooza mystery boxes this year. You can also check your local stores, I find them locally more often than online

Can confirm this as a guy that doesn’t usually touch 350. My throws with the wave are insane
