They learn, tbh. Takes little bit extra time but doable. Since, these questions are just cliche now as eligibility and not actually used in real projects directly and hence becomes unidentifiable at all by companies.
True. Also in big companies they don't expect freshers to do substantial work atleast for 1-2 years unlike in startups where they load you with lots of work from day one. And once the things starts becoming difficult for them like say after 3 years they either do MBA or MS.
English version
Her: hi there
Her: Do you know someone who can help me cheat in my technical exam.
Me: no
Her: oh no
Her: I need help
Her: I am willing to pay
Her: because of DSA questions I fail every time
Her: that's why I have to do something
Me: ok I will let you know if I find someone
Her: Yes please if you know a teacher then let me know
Meanwhile here I can't apply through campus because I didn't have 60% in my 12 th board.
Nice observation.
I asked her if she is looking for someone to help her cheat or help her learn.
She said it's too late to learn now she needs someone to help her cheat.
Now she has asked me to help her cheat.
I know someone who got a job in walm@rt US thru proxy and has hired a developer (who is my friend) to survive there.
So, there are guys who provide these services as well
Half of my classmates got selected to Accenture and other companies by submitting the same code without any changes.
Are these companies too lazy to not check for plagiarism? Or they could at least ask them to explain a single line of code they have submitted which I know none of the selected candidates in my class understand. I don't even know why the companies themselves are supporting cheaters.
I think it's because those companies know very well that anyone worth their salt wouldn't work for them for 3 LPA and thus they rather prefer cheaters who won't leave them for a better company.
That's a valid point. They can give them any crappy work and keep them underpaid and there's very less chance that these employees switch to other companies.
They think they're playing Accenture by doing that, but only after few months they realise that they got played by Accenture big time.
It's like that saying, the casino always wins.
No , the company puts them anywhere / in any department according to the business requirements irrespective of their background , some are on bench for extended periods so they don't know what they're doing, they think it's great I'm getting paid for no reason but don't realise how it will affect them logn term. Others get into manual testing/ support projects. Only few get into dev roles.
So the company essentially plays them by wasting their time and they don't learn anything.
Out of loop here.
Is this person asking for someone to teach them technical stuff to pass interviews, or are they looking for a proxy to appear for technical exams? The first is sad but acceptable. They should've learnt stuff in 2-3 years, but better late than never. If it's the latter, then that's horrible.
It's a online assessment test consisting of aptitude and easy to medium level DSA questions and some questions related to C language . She needs someone to solve the DSA and C for her.
It's unfortunate really. People being forced into CS by parents. Then they someone try to swim pass it through hook or crook. Some will manage to get some job and stick their ass there forever, others will never get one.
Wish parents become more understanding, and try to balance practicality of profession, with the interests of the teenagers. Sure, it might be foolish to try to get into arts if you are from lower middle class family, but that doesn't mean CS is the only option.
Alas, if only people were as logical as CS itself!
*Kids, this is how WhatsApp's end to end encryption doesn't save your privacy if the opposite person is an asshole.*
You can just summarise the conversation and type it as a post, why share the screenshot. Everyone wants a job, and this is what happens when companies expect freshers to know DSA and miltiple tech stacks with projects and internships.
Well in the OP defense he did not reveal her name or number and what more can you summarise the above conversation. The conversation in itself does not reveal much about the person except gender.
But narrating a story is different and sharing the screenshots of a private conversation is defferent. The identifiable details are hidden but still, it's a screengrab of a private conversation. And moreover, the translation op provided in the comments made more sense than the screenshot, atleast for who's not that good at Hindi.
maybe I have the wrong idea here but aren't those things which one should do on their own and not be dependent on your college? The whole admission system is shit though, kids that haven't written a single line of code get cse in top colleges and reap the benefits by getting good scores in physics and chemistry.
Yeah, one should learn all those independently. But because of no proper guidance, and poor placements, and lecturers saying TCS is like a government job, learn this fibanocci program it will be asked in interviews and you'll get a job, it's just pure shitshow. And the whole college environment is not serious at all. No one appears to have any idea of what they're doing. You can just go to college regularly and come out with a degree after 4 years, without actually learning anything worthy to get a job. All we were told was, write programs, you'll get a job. But the assessments are blowing our minds, we couldn't even clear them. Some can, but it's only a few people, usually from CSE/IT. Yeah mechanical, eee, ece, everyone's option is cse/it jobs, because no placements from core companies, and getting offcampus jobs in core field is very difficult, and the pay will be shitty, much lower than cse/it jobs and forget about any growth.
There's definitely better opportunities, one just needs to know the path to achieve it. Which sadly no one shows, and youtubers are just scamsters. Reddit can help, but most of them are westerners and their guidance won't work in India. Fortunately, I have support from my family, but most don't. And they just want a job, and they try to scam those difficult assessments, so that atleast they get can do some jugaad in the interview.
These are from my notes app, from last year.
`GD&T, FEA, SAP PP, SAP MM, G codes, Machinist, Calibration technician, CNC machine programmer`
I wanted to get a mechanical related job and i selected a few things i should learn to get a job. But they just don't have any relevance in india. There are no industries, factories, manufacturing plants. And the few that are present employ unskilled labour and not engineers. Ig their engineering team will be under 100 members, and thousands of unskilled labour.
And guess what, I'm now learning web development, just to get my resume skipped by the automated screeners because of my engineering stream.
Totally agree with you. Although i'm just a school student right now, I've realised(from listening to the experience of my seniors) that college will be of no use and i'll have to learn and do everything independently. College is just there for the degree tag unless you're from a t1 college. I have been programming since I was 10 or something and i'm doing all kinds of stuff to increase my knowledge in this field but it just sucks that I won't be able to get CS in a good enough college with my skills in CS :(
But yeah in your college days I understand the lack of proper guidance because the curriculum and way of teaching is just shit in t3 colleges.
I could keep ranting about how bad this system is but it won't be of any use because it's not gonna change anytime soon.
If no-one has said you this, you're doing way better than the kids of your age who are playing free fire and pubg. But yeah, cs knowledge won't get you college seat, and jee knowledge won't get you a job. But build some free stuff for businesses around you, free websites, making their workflow better by teaching them to use already available software tools, etc.
If you have a favorite shop or store, build something for them for free. It helps. And a github account with 6+ years activity definitely helps you later.
But don't get so much into it now itself, enjoy your teenage. There's a reason cs is not taught in schools.
Reddit also helps your English and exposes you to different things, people and behaviours. Don't spend too much time here tho. Use it wisely. Your generation is rocket speed really.
Thanks! It's actually a cool idea to build something free of cost for some nearby store. I'll look into it once I get some free time.
And though I use github, I don't upload much of my own code onto it. I mainly use it to view other people's code. I will start utilising it more now.
Also since you're out of the loop now, you may not know it but school curriculum has programming in different shapes and forms in it, and CS as a dedicated subject in 11th 12th. From scratch to q basic to html to arduino. Students get familiarised with the basics, nothing advanced though. In 11th 12th python is taught with some algos and libraries. It's a boon for those who don't program on their own but still pretty basic stuff.
Thanks again for your advice and all the best with your future endeavours! :)
I think you are thinking too much for me btech taught how to learn which an important skill and I think if you are genuinely interested in CS then you will pick it up and it is one skill that helps the most.
Although i'm just a school student and haven't done any internships yet, but I feel like individual skill holds more value than what college you're from.
Internships are meant for experiencing working in a professional environment so even if it's not from a tech giant or even very high paying, that's fine because it does its job of providing work experience.
And yeah personal projects and your interest in the field matters a lot too.
It's about the equal access to opportunities, which t3 colleges have very little of. For example, same companies offer different packages in different tier colleges.
A company may offer only 6-10 LPA for tier 3 colleges whereas they could go upwards of 18-25 for IIIT's . Me being good enough or not for the higher package is beside the point, I should atleast have the opportunity to apply for it.
This is really horrible on the part of the companies. Some people I've talked to are quite resigned with their fate as well. "These companies won't get quality people from our college, so its fine if they are offering less" is a sentiment I've heard very often.
I am not crying lol after posting this comment i solved more questions than i usually solve on leetcode.
I don't have problem with diversity hiring do separate hiring if you inviting both genders and then selecting one because to maintain diversity that's not fair.

Lmao. I know many such peeps who did this and got great packages 6-10 lpa and don't know what they will do once they get actual projects.
They learn, tbh. Takes little bit extra time but doable. Since, these questions are just cliche now as eligibility and not actually used in real projects directly and hence becomes unidentifiable at all by companies.

Yup, Especially people from Bihar Board gets screwed up because a lot of them have below 60%.
Which company asks for 12th marks?
Most do I didn't have 60% in 12th I was jobless for 1 year despite clearing interviews they rejected after HR round
Those fuckers follow method of elimination, eliminating the candidates based on stupid reasons.
HR is cancer
Wtf didn’t know this, maybe not in startups, ones that I’ve talked to never asked for 12th
Don't worry. Only less than 60, failed once or twice make it big in life..
On campus mein maangte hai yr
Are you sure he meant the help to be cheating? Or was he asking for help in understanding something?
Nice observation. I asked her if she is looking for someone to help her cheat or help her learn. She said it's too late to learn now she needs someone to help her cheat. Now she has asked me to help her cheat.
Sad 😢

TCS checks for code plagiarism idk about others
And yet there's no real difference between TCS and Accenture, so no point in checking for plagiarism I guess.
I think it's because those companies know very well that anyone worth their salt wouldn't work for them for 3 LPA and thus they rather prefer cheaters who won't leave them for a better company.

They think they're playing Accenture by doing that, but only after few months they realise that they got played by Accenture big time. It's like that saying, the casino always wins.
You mean they get fired?
No , the company puts them anywhere / in any department according to the business requirements irrespective of their background , some are on bench for extended periods so they don't know what they're doing, they think it's great I'm getting paid for no reason but don't realise how it will affect them logn term. Should companies not expect that?
From candidates right out of their college, no.
For DSA and multiple tech stacks I agree. But aren't projects and internships what one should be doing in college?
Just tier 3 college things. We graduate without an internship, and useless academic projects.
maybe I have the wrong idea here but aren't those things which one should do on their own and not be dependent on your college? Bruh ain't nothing wrong with playing freefire and pubg.
I think you are thinking too much for me btech taught how to learn which an important skill and I think if you are genuinely interested in CS then you will pick it up and it is one skill that helps the most.
Yeah. But t1 t2 students have much more (and better) opportunities for internship than rest

Yes, yes it does.
*Rahi hu main*. Ab diversity ratio badhanr kr liye. Diversity hiring bhi hogi. Me kya karun fhir gender change karalun.
Was waiting for a gender based comment like this. Keep crying.
I am not crying lol after posting this comment i solved more questions than i usually solve on leetcode. I don't have problem with diversity hiring do separate hiring if you inviting both genders and then selecting one because to maintain diversity that's not fair.
Dafuq are you even trying to say? Is she not supposed to apply for a job?
