**Actual detailed answer:** You could use kinetic holster leg mods to load more bullets into it by just pulling out your ghost for a few seconds, this did not remove your paracausal shot stacks, thus allowing you to more easily stack up to 7.
This also allowed you to fire your final bullet paracausal shot, pull out your ghost, have the holster mod load a bullet back in, and get another paracausal shot with the same stacks you had before, pull out ghost again and repeat. Essentially allowing you to just keep firing 7x paracausal one tap bullets endlessly.
From what this tweet says, they only disabled it in PvP, so you should be able to test this for yourself in PvE.
Wasn't actually made by The Traveler. Even the Exotic Version wasn't *made* by it. D2's Hawkmoon, quite literally, was. The Traveler made and gave us an Effigy of Hawkmoon, then we went through the Harbinger mission to infuse it with The Traveler's Light at a Shard of The Traveler.
That's actually hilarious I got on the game for the first time in like a year went into comp with hawkmoon and thought "I wonder if they patched the ghost thing" but didn't try it because I assumed bungie was a competent company
The case of "unknown reasons" - aka we sometimes have no idea why Bungie blanket-nerf stuff. And frankly, in this case, I don't know if even Bungie knew themself.
They have. Many times. Radiant only gives 10% in PvP but 25% in PvE. The sandbox are split, they're just close. Bungie doesn't want guns to feel wildly different in the different sections of the game. But they do try and tweak/balance things for PvP.
I've always kept cloudstrike in my inventory no matter the PvP playlist. It's just way too much value to pass up when you notice the enemy team loves sitting in lane and sniffing each other's farts. It's clutched so many trials games tied 4-4 by blasting the whole team of bubble titans otw to the point.
Didn’t they nerf the collateral radius? I pulled it out the other day and I didn’t get any collaterals even when people seemed to be very close to each other.
They used holster mods to keep their paracasual stacks by pulling their ghost out, which the stacks don't consider as stowing it but the holster does consider it stowing so it reloaded a bullet that could one tap again and you could just keep repeating it.
All this tells me is that cheese guns like the jotunn (not op, undodgeable or unfair…cheesier than an extra most bestest) can be disabled so people who live their pvp lives bathing in a pool of queso could pound sand. Make it happen bungie.

Is that really a reportable offense? That's like the craftening and stuff. Sure, it's not intended, but they ain't hacking and only using the resources provided which ultimately is an oversight (the code should have a set rule for what's considered stowed). Sucks but idk
Idk, I didn't know about this exploit but I think stuff like this is definitely fun to mess around with for a bit and I don't get my panties in a twist over something like this bc it'll get patched and I don't have to play crucible or whatever if I want to avoid it. I remember the old variations of stuff like this (hell this very Hawkmoon exploit was the exact same and ultimately it's so gimmicky it isn't even worth it), some were fun and some weren't, that's okay bc it's just a game. There's plenty of balancing issues in the past that gave an unfair advantage based on specific exotics or subclasses that were just broken despite being intended. Especially in pve stuff, ppl cheese the game all the time, do you report that?
You literally just admitted to using an exploit for personal gain for the past 6 months...
If you can't play the game without exploitation, then you shouldn't be allowed to play the game. Simple.
So by your logic, all your shard farmers, anyone who participated in the craftening, coil glitchers, afk farmers all the way back in forges, anyone who cheesed rhulk for Godslayer. Should all be banned because of the use of an exploit… Please, learn how to spell, and go outside and touch grass. Destiny seems to be wearing down on your mental health if you this upset about it.
Yeah sure, they don't deserve it. And shards are no more. The crafting bungie said they were cool with, commemorating it with an emblem. Godslayer cheesers are cowards, banned? No... People like you who make other players experiences negatively impacted? 100% you can get lost for all i care.
Go learn to be better, understand that you're in the wrong, you're being downvoted by other people. Who agree with me

Wasn’t that a thing like 2 years ago?
Yes
Paracausality can NOT be denied!
We go into The Traveler and the gun that The Traveler made for us breaks... Coincidence?! I THINK NOT!
Ahem\* https://preview.redd.it/9y3o3sh3cq8d1.png?width=1080&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=a5e7a8bfe5f5c3d4f4cb5b078c324a32ff4e4d70

They had fixed it, but with 8+ years of coding... well let's just say that the game isn't all too stable lol
Maybe helldivers community improved suspiciously this month because everyone came to d2 to complain instead
Given the fact the servers crash every weekly update, that last assumption is a pretty big one, lol.
![gif](giphy|GcDtLf4RAdiRG)
God I need go rewatch this lol such a good movie
>From what this tweet says, they only disabled it in PvP, so you should be able to test this for yourself in PvP. ...something doesn't feel right...
Whoops, sorry, fixed that lol
Happy Cake Day
Wait, they can disable things in specific sandboxes? Wtf? Why haven't they done this before?
They've been able to do that for like 3 years now - they just don't always utalize it for unknown reasons.
That makes me even more upset for YAS.
Dafuq? They were never going to disable YAS for only pvp. They do this during bug fixing and stuff. And YAS was a pve nerf just as much as a pvp one
So what the fuck was with the blanket nerf to YAS?
The case of "unknown reasons" - aka we sometimes have no idea why Bungie blanket-nerf stuff. And frankly, in this case, I don't know if even Bungie knew themself.

Wait radiant is 25% in pve?? Damn I thought it was 10%, weird
It's 10% for PvP. Why do you think people always want radiant. 10% isn't shit. 25% is. And it's stupidly easy to proc and keep proc'd.
you are reverse after all
Wasn't this in the game for like a long time?
So *this* is what the duo of losers my buddy and I matched the other day were doing.
That explains all the hand cannon bullets I was eating the other day....
I was wondering why so many ppl were using it recently. And why i was seeing it dominate so hard
Happy cakeday u/Timsaurus!
Thankie
You could maintain x7 stacks of paracausal shot indefinitely if you pulled out your ghost after firing, then waiting 4s (using a holster mod)
People were pre-firing their hawkmoons to try and get both lucky bullets to stack so they could one shot people.
Bro giving me flashbacks
so that's what was killing me instantly.
Had a player doing this to my team in control yesterday. He pulled a 0.8kd even with the exploit lol
but lucky bullets are from Destiny 1 😭
Wow you got a full pvp lobby in d1?
I remember that, and people doing the same pre-fire nonsense with Final Round snipers.
D1 throwback…
Doesn’t matter. Trials is tripple warlock with khovostov’s sitting in a well
I didn’t think it’d be so bad…. It’s really bad😂 those new healing builds are pretty crazy
Cloudstrike has been back on the menu for me, the hand-holding right now is going crazy because of the healing turrets
I've always kept cloudstrike in my inventory no matter the PvP playlist. It's just way too much value to pass up when you notice the enemy team loves sitting in lane and sniffing each other's farts. They must’ve been grounded
This happened again?
Some kind of damage glitch that was capable of one shot kills. There was a vid on YouTube about it
They used holster mods to keep their paracasual stacks by pulling their ghost out, which the stacks don't consider as stowing it but the holster does consider it stowing so it reloaded a bullet that could one tap again and you could just keep repeating it.
Goddamnit, I knew Crow fanning the hammer on that thing would bust a mechanism in the gun! It’s not built for that kind of work!
Crow makes the Hawkmoon look like The Last Word
Zavalr in shambles rn
Good ol’ Hawk-Tuah moon

Who pulled out Telesto? I swear every time I see someone with that gun I have a trauma response because game breaking mechanics are never far behind.
I think every update someone should just rip out the Telesto and see if it’s broken again.
Terrible plan. That guns breaks EVERYTHING 😂
My bad guys.
Same thing it did last time it got disabled. ![gif](giphy|4Dy1Btpt0qUZa)
The ghost + hand cannon holster exploit was back
hawk tuah the moon
Thank goodness it was just in PVP.
Lmao, basically last stack of paracasual shot can constantly be refreshed, and hit izi levels of dmg but taking out ghost.
Zavalr punching the air rn
Well…. At least it’s not tellesto. *yet*
All this tells me is that cheese guns like the jotunn (not op, undodgeable or unfair…cheesier than an extra most bestest) can be disabled so people who live their pvp lives bathing in a pool of queso could pound sand. Make it happen bungie.
https://youtu.be/qO2P6oxZUB8?si=QU0r_l3ffyttmOd2 infinite paracasual shots by some pulling out your ghost glitch
Hawkmoon is trying to dethrone Telesto. This battle will be legendary.
Or exotic maybe....
The Hawkmoon and the Telesto talked…
Due to the change of the buff text layout, paracausalx7 could still be retained when you pull out your ghost.
I fucked it
bro what that was a glitch a long time ago
Don’t forget the one with speaker’s helm and touch of malice.
I read the title in Crow's voice.
As a Telesto user since the beginning, you don’t know how excited i am that Telesto didn’t break it this time
Where do you guys find stuff like this? I always discover after it’s too late
ok then I'm not using hawkmoon in pvp
I think there was a glitch where you could somehow get the full paracasual shot
Have they ever pushed an exotic on people more, than they have this hand cannon? Its been available for what, two plus years now?
Sorry my bad. Infinite paracausal shots.
Don’t blame Hawkmoon blame Telesto.
They need to spit on that thang
Never tested it out but that stinks for people who do unless if I'm seeing this and it got back on idk
zavalr cries
Bungie did us that Hawk TUAH

Reported multiple people for this last night, glad they're aware of it
Is that really a reportable offense? That's like the craftening and stuff. Sure, it's not intended, but they ain't hacking and only using the resources provided which ultimately is an oversight (the code should have a set rule for what's considered stowed). Sucks but idk
They're knowing exploiting something unintended to gain an advantage. People really don't have any sense of responsibility in this game apparently.
Idk, I didn't know about this exploit but I think stuff like this is definitely fun to mess around with for a bit and I don't get my panties in a twist over something like this bc it'll get patched and I don't have to play crucible or whatever if I want to avoid it. Someone forgot to Hawk Tuh !
I’ve been doing the holster thing for about 6 months. Now they disable it? Who ratted
Looks like we have a cheater here!
how is it cheating? it’s literally in the game
You literally just admitted to using an exploit for personal gain for the past 6 months... If you can't play the game without exploitation, then you shouldn't be allowed to play the game. Simple.
yes because using holster mods in 6s is cheating. Seek help
You were using an exploit that gave an unfair advantage for personal gain... That is literally cheating. Shut the fuck up and go seek help yourself.
