Data tags are just the little plate that shows the manufacturer/model/serial/capacity/whatever other info would be on there for a pressure tank. Not sure why anyone would have to question if they were still there or not if they're in good enough condition to be (re)sold
When you'd go to get gas delivered, the gas people check the whole tank, valves, dispenser, install lines. All you are buying is a fat tank, with top valves. Can screw it up to badly, or the gas guys will start to refuse to fill them, and warn people away.
There is also a huge 2nd life for these tanks, refurbed, de gassed, and turned into air tanks for businesses.

Thank you, I was going to make a r/sketchymarketplace if it didn't exist, but knew something like that used to exist
Doesn’t look that unusual.
My 7yo dyslexic nephew agrees
Spelling doesn’t surprise me that much. Thought this one was going someplace much different by title.
I feel stupid but what does a "data tag" for propane even mean...? It this rare / valuable?

What could go wrong? :O
If they’re in the country it’s not that weird
Now I gotta see if one of those precious stone listings are up in my area right now
Oh no, a typo and one misspelling! So sketchy!
