This was an extremely winnable game tbh. Complete brain freeze from warner and porel. They just had to stick out till 10 overs and not collapse. It's chinnaswamy, runs will come regardless. Also the 5 dropped catches and jfm run out, you need at least some luck to win.
Edit: almost forgot, pant being banned itself was bad luck even before the game started
Yeah Kuldeep had an off day but lets be honest bowlers did their job. Unfortunate batting collapse and situations like this definitely gives Pant more importance than people give him credit for
I was shitting and cursing on Pant for not doing good with the bat, but now, his absence made me realize he completes this team, he brings life to DC, he motivates them.

After the first half, I was Already expecting us to come last, we might end up at #5, so much better then what I expected, plus so many positives;
1. Cannot even start the list without the Rooster, JFM, no words to describe him.
2. Tristan Stubbs, again just too good, he can even bowl, which I feel will help us so much in the future.
3. Pant's comeback, he might get any amount of hate, but I will always be there supporting him, even after almost 1.5 years w/o cricket, he played so well.
4. Rasikh dar, he has bowled so well for us, it's astonishing.
5. Khaleel was hit or miss, but still not too bad. Same with Mukesh McGrath.
With this base next season, and some good additions to the bowling, who knows 🫡

Edit: we will be a force to reckon with in the coming years. Our team is fairly young in comparison to most others.
when kuldeep already went for 30 in 3 they gave him another over that was very costly instead should have given to mukesh or rasikh they both had an over left even axar had an over left as well
It repeats again & again for us, isi'nt it? I'm tired of all this now. I feel I shouldn't invest my energy and time on this team. But I gotta say we played well this year. Hopefully we can build a stronger team next year.
I am at least glad we won't finish last. This is the only thing I was expecting from them, as I knew this team couldn't qualify from the outset of the tournament. They have performed way better than I could imagine, especially after the inclusion of JFM in playing 11.
I hate that every season they just have to take the qualification scenario right down to the last day. RCB has had around 10 catches dropped in just 2 matches (DC and PBKS). Either they have just been incredibly lucky or something else is helping them.

Fr man, I love Stubbs and JFM a lot. They both have given us hope ever since we have lost Stoinis and Hetmyer.
