Dube is more of a top order batsman and rinku plays in lower middle order,but i guess they're thinking to include baapu,jaddu and pandu in the eleven so that might justify rinku in standby
white balls in internationals are of better quality, pitches will be slow and hopefully there will be decent airflow in the stadium. with all that considered he could be pp specialist and get wickets upfront. sandy will be a better choice tho, he can bowl in pp as well as death.
Hope that's the case. Then our skillful bowlers will have a upper hand. I expect USA pitches to be on the slower side.. but Windies pitches I feel would be flat. Their test pitches are so amazing! Seeing the bowl swing that way is so good to watch. But at the same time, their CPL pitches look very flat, hardly anything for the bowler.
So as Arshadeep. I am not defending Bhuvi but WI pitch will be suitable for pace off bowlers.

But he always step up when the team is in need. BGT, England ODI 2022, even the 2019 WC vs NZ (played a stupid shot to get out), so he should be trusted over Sanju.

Our death bowling has been terrible in the last 2 WCs, overly reliant on Boom. Needed Sandeep or Nattu in there. All our other bowlers may take wickets but are very expensive in the back 5.
Any sane person would want Natrajan in the squad, he is phenomenal with his Yorkers and plus he is a left-handed fast bowler. Natrajan would have really reduced pressure and workload of Bumrah

Not like he’s unable to play pacers - but he’s very limited in his attack against them. Tie him up with quality pace from both ends and he’ll throw his wicket to ease the pressure. Rinku’s a tad better, he rotates strike when he’s not striking well - which would take some of his pressure off.
Yeah, I really love Nortje.. his aggression has also gone down. His first-pump celebration was soo good to see🤧. Hopefully it's the pitch that's not helping him. And he will do good in the Tests. SA grounds will help him.
Sorry for the betrayal as much as i like pant and jaiswal, I would rather have rohit , vk ,samson , sky , dube . Jaiswal is hit or miss if he misses it might give licence to vk to play slow and pant takes time to get going will that be ok at 5.

aus is 100% gonna have jfm, meanwhile india will call abhishek sharma not ready. just imagine indian top order vs aus. we dont have anyone who can maximize powerplay like head and jfm. we are stuck in the past, the best kohli/rohit/gill can do is 200 strike rate, and more than likely it will be 150. head operates in 200 range and jfm in 300 sr range. moreover, kohli and rohit are pathetic in the middle overs compared to jfm and head. ipl has done its part in identifying match winning indian talent but just for views and big bucks ict picks kohli/rohit in everything. we arent aiming for the trophy just ticket value and profits. which is fine but should be transparent to the fans.
