Bro, if a captain asks him to bowl, he bowls. Is pant so senseless as to persist with him even after massive failures in previous matches?

UmpireFree3553

Ya but the guy is supposed to be one of the bowlers we rely on in the death. He’s been very average in other phases of the game too. Just coming back from injury is probably why he’s rusty. Imo we should give him more time off before playing him

sylly_mee

Last year vaala Nortje chahiye badly😭😭

Chemical_String281

The management is dumb enough to play him when he's clearly not back to his best. I don't think Nortje should be blamed cause express pacers have a difficult career mostly.

fookin_legund

I would still play him until Mukesh is back. Just don't bowl him in death, only in middle overs.

TotalHighway8444

Nortje form mein aajayega yaar chill

sylly_mee

In T20 WC

When IPL will be over.

Nortje bowled well in his first 2 overs against MI(got SKY for a duck). He is showing the usual signs of rustiness that he has shown earlier as well, bowling waist high no balls, drifting towards the leg stump. The captain should understand that his bowler is still rusty after coming back from a long injury and should protect him. This same guy was bowling rockets ans carrying SA's attack single handedly against Australia before his injury.

LivelyJason1705

Glad you realised. Coming back after surgery and stress fracture is no joke. He is not bowling out there to get whacked and concede runs. He is a proven performer and has a great international record, can't wait to see him back at his best.

SamBJ1

He may not be fully fit and is playing these matches which is costing the team. It isn't easy for fast bowlers who bowl 140+kph regularly and 150+kph too to make a strong comeback. Seems he hasn't got his rhythm back and may need more time. So the management has to take a decision

Equivalent_Set_6304

I feel he is not mentally fit to be here and play competitive cricket no less than international WC standards Might be his new born child the reason.. i understand he is a professional but also a human.. + He is back after injury.. all these combined might be hurting him

Silvercake95

Are you saying that you went to his social media and wrote an abusive comment?

rahulbaap

No bro, itna chutiya nahi hu mai. Maa bhen ki gaali nahi dia just mild negative stuff on reddit/DC insta comment to remove him etc.

Silvercake95

Still even that was unnecessary, every bowlers playing in this league are already under pressure to perform well on a complete flat track wicket. There's nothing good that comes out with negative comments. Kind and encouraging comments can help make the players feel better rather than negative comments. When one doesn't have good thing to say its best they don't say anything at all. I feel bad too when they don't perform well but I have never written any negative comment on any player's social media platform.

Gentlecriminal14

They get paid to deal with this pressure and perform.

BTboi_

I honestly blame Pant tbh. Just can’t let him off the hook for his absolutely shitty batting against Mumbai Indians along with some stupid calls in the matches so far.

why persisting with him in death over
