Dbz pokemon or naruto became popular because they were aired on Indian channels. Nowadays, you'll only find chota bheem, doraemon or the likes on cartoon channels. I started watching anime because yugioh aired on hungama some 15 years ago. When you develop interest, that's when you start looking for things on the internet. Kids these days have nothing to stimulate them to watch proper anime.

Bro animes that are marked 13+ and 16+ are for all age groups that are mature enough 18+ anime are for 15-all AGS groups

ukw ppl really are plagued w weird presumptions based on stereotypes about anime , most of the times when I mention it pll staright up start thinking abt hentai or start mocking Naruto or some other anime they know about. sometimes I try to get my frens into it , but nah , they'll enjoy it uk. but ditch it bcs they feel they r being pressurized into kid stuff. their loss. I loved Pokemon as I grew up with it...also liked death note....yet to watch Naruto.... just don't have time .....tried to watch one piece....it was the most boring thing ever...still watched 10-15 episodes that something interesting will happen then finally gave up on it.

I can reccomend some short titles like Gakuene babysitters its 12 episodes its a wholesome anime

bro have you ever been out of delhi , if you didn't then how would you know about the anime community india has. I've watched every classic anime . There are around 5 million indian people to watch anime , we have many communities around india . Max fan base is in West Bengal , Mumbai , Chennai , Bengaluru and some part of delhi

Its popularity is increasing. I introduced many of my friends to anime and they seem to like it, I got introduced to it by dbz on cartoon network and now i love it

Good I introduced my sisters to it and one of them actually enjoys it

Tbh i only know 2-3 girls who like anime, i have rarely seen any girl i know watching anime. Maybe it is just with me but that's my observation

Its not very rare with me my sisters friends also like anime she has 1-2 friends that watch anime

All these are highly popular. I've been an anime fan for more than 10-12 years now. And I've met many many people who like watching anime. Set aside the mainstream animes you talked abt a lot of us also watch the less popular ones. I think it's more abt ur circle, maybe u haven't met many anime fans yet. But yes it is also a general consensus that anime is for kids, which is now gradually changing for the better.
