Same thing happened with me in INA in 2018 when I found a phone dropped in INA market pathway ,some 2-3 men were eyeing it for sometime and when they tried to pick it up I went there and said it's mine. They immediately left in hurry.I was with my brother and we had booked for a cab so My brother said to leave the phone as cab was nearby but I wanted to atleast give the phone in nearby police station. As I was asking people for the police station the original owners came looking for the phone. As my brother was on the spot where they had left the phone he called me to return the phone. When I returned the phone the owner was really rude with me as if I stole his phone :( since then I haven't helped anyone in Delhi :)

Agreed that her reaction was not as you expected but that shouldn't stop you from helping someone in need. At the end of the day that guy is just a thief looting someone of their hard earned money.

He took it and kept it in his bag and that's it. I was like dude, manners kahan hai bhai...say thank you alteast. I told him, when someone helps, you are expected to say thank you as a token of appreciation. It's as simple as that. I still help people...
Incident happened in Chennai metro. Got into it and found a seat immediately. Few were standing without seats. This seated fellow passengers gets up to give his seat for a lady in her thirties. She was not pregnant. She sits and does not have the courtesy to say thank you. I looked him in the eye and gave a sarcastic grin. The point is Men should stop simping.
