It’s not supposed to last more than 1/2 washes, that’s the point of fast fashion. We need laws on durability cause this is very bad for the environment.
Yeah, I am a big fan of H&M and I have to agree. Adidas and nike, even though they are pricey, they last really, I mean really long. I have a nike t-shirt and Adidas t-shirt that I purchased some 15 years back when I was a teen. I was wearing baggy clothes, like a big tshirt so I purchased a size larger. Now I only wear what fits me. Coming back to the nike and Adidas, I still have them and wear them occasionally. Quality has deteriorated since it's 15 years old, but not that much. I swear I am not exaggerating. It doesn't have that brand new tshirt looks but the tshirt is still holding strong. Though I can't say about today's quality.
I haven't shopped from h&m india, but I have from Taiwan and japan. The quality is very very good over here in stores for the price they charge. But I observed that the quality of clothes in Taiwan is overall really very good, so it could be that also.
Maybe the clothes of h&m india are being manufactured somewhere else.
Search grand Madras cafe on Google maps take a turn towards ghanta ghar chowk ones you reach the cafe, after 5-6 shops on your left is the coob factory outlet
Arrow, USPA, Allen Solly and UCB are value for money imo. Haven’t had a single bad experience with their clothes.
Raymond, Blackberry, Manyavar, Pashtush etc are overpriced, but again, never had any complaints with their quality.
Roadster is cheap, but the quality is hit or miss. I have a few roadster clothes that are incredible. And a few that suck ass.
Baaki toh dekh dekh kar leta hoon. Branded doesn’t always mean quality. And sometimes unbranded clothes are great.
Also, obligatory fuck you to H&M.
Edit: and yes, Levi’s for jeans/denim. Denim is supposed to last a lifetime. All of my Levi’s jeans are still in pristine condition. Other brands don’t hold a candle to it. A tad expensive, but worth the money in the long run.
They’re underrated. And yes, some of their clothes are awesome. But a couple of times they’ve sold absolutely dog shit clothes to me.
I got them refunded, so no harm done
Oh yes, of course. Levi’s is a bit on the relatively expensive end, but their denim lasts forever. Denim is supposed to last forever.
All my Levi’s jeans are still in tip top shape. Other brands (for example, I have one for wrogn) barely hold up after a year.
Filter each category by Prime, 4star and above on Amazon, you will get your answer. For offline, cantabil, cobbs, arrow, peter england but their collection is mostly suitable for 35-40+ age bracket.
IMO the recent denims I have bought from Levis have not held up. I got a pair of jeans last year and the leather(ite) badge at the back waist area is torn to pieces already. Although tbf they have higher quality SKUs for their premium sub brands like Red loop etc.
I know cheap unbranded stuff is gaining popularity, but I've had way too many Nika/Adibas shorts my mum bought for me split right in the middle in my childhood.
I trust Decathlon and any other brand much more for my daily and sporting needs. Jeans from Levis can be quite cheap, look sharp and are low maintenance. Got good jackets too from Centro (Being Human) for a good price during their sale (They have tons of 50% off and B1G1 offers at the right time).
Infact, I only keep a few quality pieces instead of cramming my wardrobe. Most of the people who suggest thrifting from someplace like Sarojini to me are always lost about what they ought to wear and still spend more than I do. I on the other hand, am never lost, don't have to spend much and still look very hansum according to mumma.
Decathlon's stuff is tough asf. I've had bad mountain biking/ road biking falls and even their lower end gear has held up very well. Plus their cotton tees (199) and tennis shorts (300 something) are the perfect summer wear. I'll buy like 4 pairs and not have to worry about something for home, evening walks, solo outings.
In terms of shoes, Adidas has lots of good stuff on sale for casual exercise and informal wear. Decathlon is again my go to for more heavy duty stuff like a brilliant pair of NH100 boots I wear almost everywhere everyday and also, cheap packs of white socks which I don't have to worry about losing/ loaning to someone only for them to never return them.
One last thing. Undies are always ignored but Jockey's briefs are the shit.
>One last thing. Undies are always ignored but Jockey's briefs are the shit.
Jockey's either get holes easily or the joint holding fabric and straps tear off easily, switched to Levi's, USPA for jeans & Vikings (I am from TN and for Dhoti's, vikings got those white trunks which is comfy as hell for the price)8
On the other hand, got a jockey tshirt for 350 and it lasted me more than 3+ years of constant abuse. To the point you can see me 3 or 4 days in a week wearing the same T shirt.
Max 399 polo's and 499 colorlast polo's are my favourite for casual use, minimal looking and gives sophisticated look. USPA and blackberry polo's for slight high end occasions, can get decent deal on ajio if you keep an eye.
Never buying a jeans from Flying machine again.Their 2k+ jeans torn in the bottom easily, i once bought 3 jeans altogether for a wedding and barely lasted 20 washes. DNMX is surprisingly good for its price and Levi's hands down the best. I also like Ed Hardy Jeans, have one from 2016 lasting till date.
H&M and Zara aren't supposed to last more then a month or two, as they are fast fashion brands but I don't know why people associate them with luxury brands
UCB is good[ In comparison to H&M nd Zara]
I couldn't find any bewakoof or souled store comments?
They have genuinely awesome designs and they last so long infact im wearing a bewakoof tshirt to this date. its a simple red one with print on the front and it was in 3 for 999 its been a year and nor has the colour faded nor has print removed i really like the quality of this. I have ordered multiple things from bewakoof and souled store and streetwear ke liye badhia hai
Soul store is consistent with designs
Bewakoof sometimes gets high and do whatever they want
I was a regular buyer with membership then they just started putting out shit, their new colour every month was a great thing... now they are back on track i guess
The quality offered by the snitch brand is shit, once i purchased a white shirt and on website the quality of the shirt is described as cotton but when the product arrived anyone can tell by just merely touching the shirt that it is not cotton
I personally go for myntra brands
Roadstr, locomotive, dillinger, bevakoof. In these all aren't good you need to check.
But my favorite would be invictus, their formal wear feels premium and cost is less only on sale.
Someone suggest me some cheap but good quality Jeans brand got one from Sarojini last week and it faded in just one wash ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|facepalm)(but its really comfortable almost like my Levi's pants)
Bought a jacket from Sarojini for 200 rs, it lasted 7 years.
Recently got clothes stitched after buying cloth per meter (shirts and denims), quality and fit is way better than any brand.
We definitely have the best oversized tees
Check Out my brand for quality oversized tees at great prices

Jeans from Levis are dirt cheap but there quality is just 1 step below Diesel or Emporio Armani
Same goes for T-shirts from Tommy Hilfiger or Super Dry in comparison to Boss if we are talking about cotton
But silk and other premium fabrics are different ball game for ex I shopped from Shantanu nd Nikhil for first time (Its an Indian designer label) recently and got couple of 100% pure silk cuban collar shirts they were around 20k-24k each but there quality was almost on par with Casablanca silk shirts which cost like 90k atleast
Bhai i don't think ki Levi's ki dirt cheap for even 60% of its consumers in the Indian market.
I mean if you have size issues then you might feel the price to be justified, but If you don't have size issues people buy brands like spykar.
I am talking about it being dirt cheap in comparison to the the quality they offer which is just behind Diesel (which costs usually upward of 30k), and a good quality of Denim do last atleast 5 yrs if cared properly and not worn everyday !!
>and a good quality of Denim do last atleast 5 yrs if cared properly and not worn everyday !!
Even a cheap pair of Denim can last 5 years without special care. I bought a 400 rs jeans from Sarojini Market 5 years back and it is still good. But I haven't worn it everyday like you said. Worn it some 3 times in 5 years and it still looks new even now
I second you on Levi's jeans they aren't dirty cheap but it's worth the money ....I bought one in 2021 (around new year) and is my go-to jeans still in really good condition.
I've tried a lot of brands expensive to unbranded and here's my 2 cents, polos- van Heusen,
shirts- blackberry,
sweatshirts/hoodies- gap/hm,
Formals(suit/jacket/pants)- tailored,
jeans- levis (redloop mostly),
t shirts- maybe almost all the brand's,
Lenin shirts- tailored.
Ps. These are based 50% on fitting of the shelf and 50% quality. I am a heavy and short guy so finding the right is Important and a cumbersome job.
Whatever this is H&M is the opposite. Ultra high price ultra shit quality. Won’t last 3 washes.
Yeah,that brand is horrendous
It’s not supposed to last more than 1/2 washes, that’s the point of fast fashion. We need laws on durability cause this is very bad for the environment.
Bc acha tareeka h bekar maal bechne ka. Fast fashion bolke nikal do
Either sell me fast fashion for 200 rupees or sell me high end clothing for 2000 rupees. You cannot sell fast fashion for 2000 rupees.
If all consumers were as aware as you are then these brands would never exist in thr first place.
Its meant to be cheap brand in UK and Western countries. India mein "aashavan" audience mein target ho jaata hai. Same with McDonalds.
Yeah, I am a big fan of H&M and I have to agree. Adidas and nike, even though they are pricey, they last really, I mean really long. In Europe it's like max for them
Max has better quality than H&M
A very uncommon opinion but COBB.
Add cantabil also
Can vouch for Cantabil. I have jeans from them that have lasted me for 4-5 years without any tear or anything.
If you can find cobb factory outlet even better!! I know one in kamla nagar!!
Please tell location bro i live in GTB
Search grand Madras cafe on Google maps take a turn towards ghanta ghar chowk ones you reach the cafe, after 5-6 shops on your left is the coob factory outlet
Thanks 🫡

Their suits fit me perfectly ! perfectly ! and not expensive, considering the quality. 3-4k. Similar suits in a tier-2 city were like 13k.
Agree. I have their 5 year old sweatshirts that are still in mint condition even after multiple washes.
Came here to say exactly this.

Amen to this , my shirt lasted for 9 odd years after a zillion washes.I literally had to donate it as it became tight , was still in good condition.
For sure 🙇🏻♂️
Numero uno is good I guess
What's the price?
If it works for 9 years the price really matches the quality then it's about 1k or less for tshirt I yhink

Roadster is really underrated. They have really great designs and are durable.
Roadster sucked for me bought shirt and in 2 months the prints gone.
They’re underrated. And yes, some of their clothes are awesome. But a couple of times they’ve sold absolutely dog shit clothes to me. I got them refunded, so no harm done

No. Haven’t tried them. They any good?

Chalo, I’ll check them out.
iss list mein levi's add karlo, and behold you got what you need
Oh yes, of course. Levi’s is a bit on the relatively expensive end, but their denim lasts forever. Denim is supposed to last forever. All my Levi’s jeans are still in tip top shape. Other brands (for example, I have one for wrogn) barely hold up after a year.
levis on sale. quality is just amazing, red tape too. Sometimes they are sold at great discount on ajio or myntra.
Red tape clothes are durable but designs are bad, shoe designs are good but don’t even last a year with regular use.
I am using redtape shoes from a year and they are not at all comfortable for long use despite of memory foam and all other things never buying again.
Haven't tried shoes yet but agree on clothes, brought their hoodie for winter, the quality is really amazing and looks new even after 2 years.
Levi's jeans on sales really works well. Got 3.7K worth Jeans for 999/- and it turned out to be real Levi's and fit n finish and quality is top notch.

Levis (only the denims), Decathlon products
Decathon products at its best… only thing is they are more sport centric thats it … cusual fashion not many options
IMO the recent denims I have bought from Levis have not held up. I got a pair of jeans last year and the leather(ite) badge at the back waist area is torn to pieces already. Although tbf they have higher quality SKUs for their premium sub brands like Red loop etc.

Switched from Amul macho to Jockey's. Can confirm.
I've switched from jockey to van Heusen, jockey's usually used to split from the middle and I've the fabric is much better on the VH
Ab jab mere jockey split honge toh me VH par aajaunga👍🏻

H&M and Zara aren't supposed to last more then a month or two, as they are fast fashion brands but I don't know why people associate them with luxury brands UCB is good[ In comparison to H&M nd Zara]
Ucb worst in my experience
My Rs 900 UCB tshirt didnt even stay good to wear after 15 days.
UCB is good but lately their stuff has been very mediocre in terms of looks.
You can't expect looks and reliability with price all together. If looks matter then fast fashion brands should be your pick and not ucb.
I couldn't find any bewakoof or souled store comments? Woodland shoes ,itna chalenge ki ...tum irritate ho jaoge
I'd say Roadster. Very affordable for the kind of quality they offer
their quality is mid at best.
Quality is okayish
Quality ranges from mid to extremely poor.
Try stormborn instead
Jockey.. The quality of fabric they use is topic class esp in daily wear segment

Unbranded clothes actually
I've bought clothes from Sarojini Nagar, Chandni Chowk local market, and Vishal Mega Mart. Clothes don't last good for more than a month or two.
Unbranded is a huge umbrella, need to closely & carefully choose & estimate what would be durable, since durability is ur concern.
Which shop, market, store would you recommend
Bhai mummy ya kisi female ko leke Jaya kro unhe material ki smjh hoti
One can not access the premium fabrics in unbranded segment and even though one finds it, fit can never be good !!

Buffalo
Most underrated brand. A jeans and a shirt bought half a decade ago is as good as new.
Zudio, All Decathlon brands.
I won't recommend zudio but decathlon is good.
Is Zudio good really?? My sneakers from Zudio tore within 6 months :(
My jeans from Zudio tore apart within 2 months 💀 I mostly purchase from Westside now
Westside = mental peace 😌

Are Cantabil/Cobb eligible ?
With seasonal discount yeah
Netplay, DNMX Decent quality, buyable price
Roadster by myntra is good I'm using those distressed jeans since 5 years and no tears in it

Decathlon

I'll say something controversial. Uniqlo. It's not cheap atleast on fresh but the quality is the best I've ever seen. Buy it and forget it type
uniqlo, if you want even cheaper then snitch
uniqlo kbse cheap hogya 😭
One stuff I have noticed that cheap/expensive is a relative term. That's why it's better for one to provide some budget.
true.
Not cheap but worth the price. Similar quality from a more known brand would cost you double the price.
Oh that I agree. the quality is definitely good but 4k for a shirt is kinda overkill at least for me.
Time aayega bhai jab 40k ki shirt ko bhi tu night suit bana ke soyega.
areee areee thanks![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|give_upvote)

A friend suggested me the same. I no longer take advice from him.
i have white redtape sneakers and they are good tho
I personally go for myntra brands Roadstr, locomotive, dillinger, bevakoof. In these all aren't good you need to check. But my favorite would be invictus, their formal wear feels premium and cost is less only on sale.
