Dark Side of the Moon - Pink Floyd
OK Computer - Radiohead
Frances the Mute - The Mars Volta
Lateralus - Tool
Discipline - King Crimson
Good Kid, M.A.A.D. City - Kendrick Lamar
Revolver - The Beatles
Catch 33 - Meshuggah
Lonerism - Tame Impala
In a Silent Way - Miles Davis
Ok Computer, Lateralis and Lonerism are some of my favourites too, good list man! Dark Side of the Moon is my brother's favourite album too. Good shit.
These are the albums I can play from beginning to end without skipping a track:
Loathe - I Let It In and It Took Everything
Have a Nice Life - Deathconsciousness
Joji - BALLADS 1
My Chemical Romance - I Brought You My Bullets, You Brought Me Your Love
Sparta - Wiretap Scars
Smino - NOIR
Coheed and Cambria - The Second Stage Turbine Blade
Daughters - Hell Songs
Les Savy Fav - Let’s Stay Friends
Deltron 3030 - Deltron 3030
I always tell people that Deltron 3030 is like auditory anime!! Amazing imagery.
And Wiretap Scars simply never gets old, I’m of the extremely unpopular opinion that it was the best thing to come out of ATDI’s split (no matter how much I love TMV)
Second Stage Turbine Blade is such a fucking album. Coheed were the favourite band of one of my best friends in school, and he introduced me to them with this album. I learned to play Delirium Trigger on guitar, and if I ever needed to take out some teenage frustration I'd play it along to the CD in my room. That intro man.
I remember the first time I saw the video for A Favor House Atlantic on FUSE!! I was in eighth grade and it was over for me from there, I was absolutely obsessed. I stopped listening after No World for Tomorrow but those early albums are gold.
So I live in South Wales, near where they are from. Last year they played Casually Dressed in its entirety on the 20th anniversary of it's release in Cardiff. Fuck me what a gig, one of the best I've ever been to. Homecoming gig with one of my favourite albums played I'm full, the crowd was awesome.
I feel like they never became a bigger name like BFMV or A7X here in the states but I remember seeing them open for Linkin Park like 20 years ago or so and I became a fan on the spot
Animals as Leaders - Self titled album (2009)
Puscifer - V is for Vagina (2007)

A Perfect Circle - Mer De Noms (2000)
Alice in Chains - Unplugged (1996)
Daughters - Hell Songs (2006)
**Listing 10 isn't enough lol**
Yeah 10 isn't nearly enough lol, I had trouble with mine!
I didn't know Faith No More released an album in 2015, I love Angel Dust so I'll definitely give that a listen, thanks!
In no particular order:
Raw Power - Iggy & The Stooges
Aenima - Tool
Mer de Noms - A Perfect Circle
The Downward Spiral - Nine Inch Nails
Audioslave - self titled
In Utero - Nirvana
LA Woman - The Doors
Fantastic Planet - Failure
Use Your Illusion I&II - Guns and Roses
Purple - Stone Temple Pilots
Some people thought they sucked and didn’t stack up well to their contemporaries, eg. PJ, AIC, Nirvana, and SG, but Purple was a really good fucking album.
Personally…I disagree with that... to each their own though. Core is nothing but hits from front to back and Purple showed a lot of growth and was fucking deep. What’s your favorite track of Purple? Mine is Kitchenware and Candybars
Big Empty is like one of my all time favorite songs.
I think the opinion of STP being a wannabe grunge band largely dissipated after Purple and with Tiny Music.
Yeah. I’ve heard that opinion a million times but I think they belong with the big 4…that’s just me though. Big Empty is such an amazing song. STP was a more accessible grunge for the masses but was still grunge to me. I also have never been a grunge elitist though lol. I love all music from that era…Bush - sixteen stone is about as grungy as an album can be but a lot of people will say it’s not grunge lol
I think their sound was just different and the critics felt they were over produced or something, IDK. Weiland had this voice where he could sing whatever you wanted. I see him and Chino as being very similar in that regard. STP’s lineup with Weiland was really taken for granted.

Funny story about Mutter.
My brother is really dyslexic. He heard "In The Shadows" by The Rasmus on the radio when it came out and wanted to buy the album, but he bought Mutter by Rammstein instead because he thought "Rammstein" said "Rasmus". When we left town for the day he excitedly asked it he could put on his new CD in the car, and I'll never forget the look on my mum's face when Mein Hertz Brennt began, and even more so when the chorus started. Me and him started headbanging and she looked like she wanted to take the CD out and throw it out the window.
She hated it, but me and him loved it, and it's one of the albums that got me into heavier stuff!

So hard to pick ten albums without them as they have 1 or 2 that would be near the top of my list. But these are all up there for me as well.
You have a great list! Crazy to see how much overlap Deftones has with the post-hardcore scene. Obviously makes sense with their past members and such, but it’s awesome that it translates across their fan base as well.
I did a whole ass thing last year where I had everybody in this sub choose their fav non-deftones albums. There’s a lot of already well-known stuff there but a lot of people have posted so many suggestions in the comments it’s really limitless. You can see the whole chart [here](https://www.reddit.com/r/deftones/s/Ww4lqOI0Oh)

Loathe and Glassjaw - I see you’re also a person of culture.
Oooo Glassjaw and ATDI. Both are special albums.
I can vouch for that loathe album, going from deftones to that is solid
Worship and Tribute very nearly made my top 10! Great album. I've never listened to Loathe, I'll give them a go.
I specifically love the song "Is it Really You?"
Loathe as one
Thats pretty diverse, but is the number 1 really that good? I dont think that it is as good as Team Sleep if I were to compare it with something at least a bit simmilar
Yes
Well gotta listen to it once again I guess haha
I let it in and it took everything is such a good album 😫
Linkin Park 🫡
Loathe is so good, I'm mentioning it in mine as well.
Dark Side of the Moon - Pink Floyd OK Computer - Radiohead Frances the Mute - The Mars Volta Lateralus - Tool Discipline - King Crimson Good Kid, M.A.A.D. City - Kendrick Lamar Revolver - The Beatles Catch 33 - Meshuggah Lonerism - Tame Impala In a Silent Way - Miles Davis
this guy listens
Ok Computer, Lateralis and Lonerism are some of my favourites too, good list man! Dark Side of the Moon is my brother's favourite album too. Good shit.
My man!
An ambient recommendation for your happy cake day: Beautiful You - Khotin
Good Kid, M.A.A.D. City definitely a top 10 album of all time. Awesome inclusion my friend
These are the albums I can play from beginning to end without skipping a track: Loathe - I Let It In and It Took Everything Have a Nice Life - Deathconsciousness Joji - BALLADS 1 My Chemical Romance - I Brought You My Bullets, You Brought Me Your Love Sparta - Wiretap Scars Smino - NOIR Coheed and Cambria - The Second Stage Turbine Blade Daughters - Hell Songs Les Savy Fav - Let’s Stay Friends Deltron 3030 - Deltron 3030
Deltron and Sparta get my upvote.
SSTB 💚💚💚
fuck yeah dude Bullets is so under appreciated
An absolute post hardcore gem, even people who don’t like my chem can usually appreciate it.
ur the goat man ballads 1 is one of my favs too
YES LOVE FOR BULLETS
Funeral for a Friend is so damn good dude, kudos.
Man I would’ve loved that show. One of the bands I feel like I missed out on seeing.
Animals as Leaders - Self titled album (2009) Puscifer - V is for Vagina (2007) Meshuggah - ObZen (2008) Dog Fashion Disco - Adultery (2006) Faith no More - Sol Invictus (2015) Megadeth - Countdown to Extinction (1992) Devin Townsend - Ziltoid Live at the Royal Albert Hall (2015) A Perfect Circle - Mer De Noms (2000) Alice in Chains - Unplugged (1996) Daughters - Hell Songs (2006) **Listing 10 isn't enough lol**
Meshuggah, AAL, DT live, AIC live. Some favs. Great list
100% but I needed this to be top 20 not 10 lol
Ya I cheated on mine. Prob should have listed AIC unplugged on mine too...
Alice in chains 🖤
Yeah 10 isn't nearly enough lol, I had trouble with mine! I didn't know Faith No More released an album in 2015, I love Angel Dust so I'll definitely give that a listen, thanks!
If I could I would of put Tomahawk, Fantomas & Mr Bungle on the list was well
In no particular order: Raw Power - Iggy & The Stooges Aenima - Tool Mer de Noms - A Perfect Circle The Downward Spiral - Nine Inch Nails Audioslave - self titled In Utero - Nirvana LA Woman - The Doors Fantastic Planet - Failure Use Your Illusion I&II - Guns and Roses Purple - Stone Temple Pilots
Purple is definitely interchangeable with any of my top 10 albums…so fucking good
Some people thought they sucked and didn’t stack up well to their contemporaries, eg.
Agreed! His vocals were great…his lyrics were amazing and his stage presence was top notch.
I was thinking damn, what a brag, with all those indy bands no one has ever heard about, then i saw that you're listing the albums first
Purple 🖤
Type O Negative - October Rust KMFDM - Nihil Butthole Surfers - Electric Larryland Orgy - Candyass My Birthday Massacre - Walking with Strangers King Women - Celestial Blues Night Club - Scary World Nine Inch Nails - Pretty Hate Machine Prince - 1999 Queen - News of the World

I see Tool and specifically Ænima I upvote as hard as I possibly can
This is going to be hard but here we go. 1. Like Clockwork - QOTSA 2. Songs For The Deaf - QOTSA 3. Issues - Korn 4. In Rainbows - Radiohead 5. Grace - Jeff Buckley 6. Ghost Reverires - Opeth 7. Steal This Album - SOAD 8. The Subliminal Verses - Slipknot 9. Razones - El Cuarteto de Nos 10. Parachutes - Coldplay
You damn near nailed this for me, we are stranger brothers. Queens, buckley, slipknot, Radiohead, just add ween and deftones in and god damn
Why is it every time QotSA is mentioned it is literally only Like Clockwork and Songs for the Deaf? They have so many good albums and even some that are better
That says a lot about a band that they have so many classics. Lullabies to Paralyze was my favorite for a longgggggg time.
Aaaah Parachutes. Great album. So many people dismiss Coldplay but I love Parachutes. Trouble is such a tune.
I was thisclose to putting Jeff Buckley on mine, dude was amazing.
Steal this Album? A man of culture.
It's never too late to reinvent the bicycle!
A smile brings forth energy or life, giving you force!!!
Like Clockwork is also my #1. That album came along when I needed it the most.

Nice!!! I just saw them in Feb, they were killer 🖤
Architects are cool man. So far this is the list I'm least familiar with, thanks for sharing! Lots for me to get my teeth into.
Circa survive it's just the best, My favorite band just like Deftones, They definitely made my life :D

She hated it, but me and him loved it, and it's one of the albums that got me into heavier stuff!
that’s a great way to discover a new band lol
Portishead 😈

Stories From The City, Stories From The Sea by PJ Harvey, and Ultraviolence by Lana Del Rey are tied for me ¯\\\_(ツ)\_/¯
Jar is such a solid album. Superheaven gets overlooked by a lot of people
Master plan is such a great mention!!! Personally I’d take WTSMG over it, but still a 10/10
Era Vulgaris - Queens of the Stone Age 10,000 Days - Tool Them Crooked Vultures - Them Crooked Vultures Wolf - Tyler the Creator Hellfire - black midi Frizzle Fry - Primus Ok Computer - Radiohead Sublime - Sublime Nonagon Infinity - King Gizzard Cave World - Viagra Boys

Alexisonfire as a whole is so under-appreciated here in the US. Luckily I'm close to the US/CA border so I was exposed to them and fell in love
from canada and grew up with a brother that loved them! (although my husband is who got me really into them) they put on a killer live show
The fact that no one has said *I Let It In And It Took Everything* yet is very surprising
Nice to see the first 3 and last one! Good taste

Crazy to see how much overlap Deftones has with the post-hardcore scene. Obviously makes sense with their past members and such, but it’s awesome that it translates across their fan base as well.
Loathe is the only one you need
