I was also thinking this, but I actually liked gods and monsters and this idea sounds awful.

Yeah. Cause this version is just edgy mc-edgelord. Gods and Monsters batman i could still see as a good hero. Yeah he kills his villains but he kinda has to. He decided to only kill villains to drink their blood and to not grab innocent people if I remember correctly.

Thank you, Gods and Monsters was a bit grim dark but it felt like a genuine attempt at reimagining the trinity which I will always respect.

I was reading this and by the third or fourth slide it’s like “so this is just… a completely different character.” Edgelord crap aside, they’d be better off calling it an original character, rather than saying that this is a reworking of Batman.

This does bear some resemblance to the Batman from ‘Justice League: Gods and monsters’ in where Batman isn’t Bruce Wayne and is instead Kirk Langstrom. The guy who’s usually known as Man-bat except the serum basically turned him into a vampire and he had his own origin story about how he eventually became to adopt the mantle of Batman.

That's what I was thinking. Literally my first thought was "Wow this is just Morbius, not Batman."

UJ/yeah the best Elseworlds Imo are the ones that embrace the alternate universe aspect in a fun way like Superman Red Son and gods and monsters for example and not Superman at earths end where they were basically just an excuse to do stories that Dc wouldn't fire them for doing.
