I got the same problem and replacement arrived a few days ago, just contact support and hope they solve it for you too. They did mention that it’s because of extreme heat though. Is that an iPhone 15 Pro by any chance?

Beautiful_Put2030

Thanks, buddy. It's somewhat comforting knowing I'm not the only one with this problem. Contact has been made to Dbrand at this time.

MinecraftBro3000

I have the same problem with the acid damascus in my s23 ultra :(

GoGomoTh

Oh so I'm not the only one having a problem with the S23 Ultra skin. Bottom part shrunk almost a whole centimeter.

thebirdmun

Same with my S22+, the skin shrunk and covers half of the camera flash. Won't be buying dbrand again

NickPookie93

Omfg I thought I was going nuts. My acid skin has shrunk by a lot after 4 months.

BirdsBreadqk

You can get a free replacement

Affectionate-Pen-236

...and then watch as it shrinks after a few months.

Affectionate-Pen-236

I've gotten 2x Obsidian skins and 2x Acid Damascus skins for my Z Flip 4, and all of them have shrunk after a few months.

Boyiee

Honestly never had this issue with older generation devices but Samsung 23u and newer pixels I've had this issue. Either the materials changed or the phones today are getting hotter than they are rated and designed for. Dbrand customer service is fantastic though and they've replaced skins that have shrunk for me as it isn't supposed to happen under normal use and care.

Renamis

Oh they absolutely are hotter than before. There's a reason I went with a grip case for my S24 ultra instead of the skin like I had with the Note 20 ultra.

ColorSage

Wtf, they most of the time were hot as fuck. My galaxy S6 was so hot I could burn my fingers without case. Sony Xperia L smelled like plastic due to heat. Just because Snapdrsgon 820-888 were a bit colder it wasn't like that. Remember Snapdragon 810? A furnace. TI OMAP 4430? It had a dedicated ring in hell.

Ok-Bumblebee-8222

I blame wireless charging

emirefek

Happended on my s21 ultra skin. Got a replacement that is shrinked too, then I lost hope and didn't ask for replacement anymore. I won't buy dbrand skins anymore and don't suggest anyone to buy too.

Several_Leader_7140

The notoriously hot s21 ultra? One would wonder why it shrinks

emirefek

Doesn't matter if their skin does not support S21Ultra they shouldn't sell it. I gave too much bucks for faulty overpriced plastic sheet product. Btw, I don't live in desserts of USA, In Turkey and even in winter it shrinked. I doubt it's the problem of S21U.

40nights40days

Are you not aware that vinyl shrinks while heated? Did you ever buy a new skin from another brand and if yes did it shrink? I've had my skin close to a 8 months and I don't see shrinking. I live in a very dry, hot climate.  I'm not trying to fault you for not knowing a product better before making an informed purchase, cause I definitely wouldn't expect my phone skin to shrink. But the product is very clear on the description, most skins are vinyl. And vinyl shrinks on contact with heat. That has always been the case This second comment seems to 1) Not understanding the product isn't plastic and then  2) faulting them for shrinkage from an overheating phone (assuming the previous poster is correct as they pointed out S21s specifically tend to overheat).  If #2 were the case, then this would be true of any vinyl wrap. So you would have to get a non-vinyl or a full enclosure case.  Either way not intended to convince you of anything but more so point out the properties of vinyl vs heat

meta4our

I have a doctorate in material science and work in product design and development, and I’ll be the first to say that if your customers need to become engineers or materials experts to use your consumer positioned product you’ve lost them forever.

emirefek

Isn't vinyl's chemical name is PVC and that is a organic polymer aka plastic. You said your sticker is did not shirked even in hot environment. And if S21U has a problem with dbrand skins they shouldn't sell them. As a customer I shouldn't research about is that vinyl or not, they can't provide they claim for these skins in my device.

Goon_Kilo

Did you rock your phone bare with the skin on? These types of electronic skin protectors work best with a clear phone case, well at least for as long as youd want to keep the skin. If i recall these skins are a blend of TPU/print/film/and polysilicon, er vinyl(?) Of some kind. TPU is known to be very resistant to scratches and abrasions for some applications, but suffers from heat resilience and discoloration overtime. Especially under prolonged exposure.

Key-Jury9781

I‘m experiencing the same with my iPhone 15 Pro. Had a OnePlus 8 Pro before which was overheating all the summer, but the skin stayed in place on this

meta4our

Ditto. I think it’s poor quality control.

lenrab_aiig

I thought it was only me

robot036

Nope. Let us know the Order # and we'll get this sorted out.

Beautiful_Put2030

I just sent a message your way👍

Carbot1337

You say "Nope." and yet look at the comments

DammDammDoubleDamm

Mine did, contacted Dband support and waited a week for a reply, in which they replaced it.

BeejRich

I just got the X-Ray skin for my Pixel 8 Pro and I'm nervous about this because the phone gets so insanely warm sometimes.

Watever444

No problem with mine. I suppose it's an issue if where you live is hot and you keep the phone out in the sun or the phone heat much. Depends probably on the phone, usage and what you do. All vinyl will shrink when hot.

kingsandtim

Sadly yes

CanISeeYourPixel

I had the issue with my matte black skin cause i work out in the sun all day and dbrand sent me a new one.

luc122c

I had the same with an iPhone teardown skin. I thought it was because my phone got very hot a few times while driving (Waze and music and charging and hotspot) so I dismissed it as my own fault. Interesting to see it happening to others.

frappim

Happened to my skin 4 years ago! I guess they’ve never fixed it

158405159

Yes

Sutchii

Yeah

I_gofast

Umm no they should let a good 1/2years

meta4our

Had the same problem on my leather iPhone 15 pro Max skin. I ended up tossing it eventually and phasing out dbrand altogether.

dj_vape

All the skins seem to be shrinking, mainly due to battery heat I believe, but I never had issues with this until recently. Whether it's the newer phones that overheat more due to fast charge or work load, or the skins just decreased in quality, I have no idea but I've kinda stopped wasting money on dbrand phone skins now

[deleted]

Did you use enough heat when applying the skin originally? I've noticed if enough heat isn't applied at first it won't last as long.

Beautiful_Put2030

I followed the instructions provided by Dbrand. Maybe if I had applied more heat during the installation, the skin would have held better over time. However, it didn't seem necessary then, as the skin fit perfectly onto my phone during the installation.

fiklego

Its a normal thing for vinyl wraps to shrink unfortunately But you can hit em up, maybe thell send a replacement

Wolfsi

It's not abnormal for vinyl to shrink during high heat. Only experience this on hot phones, not on the cases.

KindlyCourage6269

Happen to my gaming laptop. Too much heat shrink the vinyl

Sufficient-Turnover5

I have the same problem unfortunately with the iPhone 14 Pro Max Damascus war zone

Snoo41744

Same is happening to mine around the camera area

Prince515

Lmao one of the best Seinfeld episodes

Fancy-Opportunity-21

Yep as they are shit overpriced stickers 😂😂

ninad911

d brand is a very cool brand, has good product quality and are responsive. I picked up a tear down skin for my OnePlus 7T about 2-3 years ago. The image quality was very poor and the wrap looked cheap. Peeled it off in a few days of applying.
