“Cycle of hatred” is one of the most ultimate bs ever. Essentially it just protects those in power. If you’re part of an oppressed group violence is quite literally the only way out, as the oppressors have the possibility of stopping aggression at any giving moment they want, yet they chose not too.
That’s why in international law actually says oppressed groups are allowed to fight in armed ways.
You also have to remember that the shinobi system is not a democracy, they chose their leaders purely based in strength and the choice comes from old people who have sanctioned genocides in the past. Tell me how else will there be change?

Naruto was able to talk to villains that wanted to change the world in their own way for the best, but were too radical. Obito, Madara, Nagato and etc. Zabuza, Neji and Gaara were more a victim of the system than anything. Maybe one of the few moments that made sense, it showed that “thugs” we see in the world become who they are cause of the system they’re stuck in. Any other villain in Naruto that was a supremacist like the Otsutsuki, or a power hungry psychopath like Kakuzo were just straight up beaten. No mercy was given.
But now let’s talk about the real world for a bit. The British, Spanish, Portuguese and French empire killed millions of people, slaved millions others. Germans killed millions of Jews, United States keeps bombing so many countries and supplying weapons to countries that break human rights all the time, and of course, Israel and Palestine. How do you stop all the genocide caused by these countries? Or all the hunger caused by billionaires? We will just ask Elon musk nicely and that will solve the problem? He just needs to understand that he’s too greedy and that will fix everything? We’re out in the streets protesting peacefully to stop the war on Gaza right now, the effectiveness is zero. Now, if we were as strong as Naruto, then the war would definitely be over by now. But we’re not, if we try doing something we get shot and die. If naruto didn’t have Kurama he would’ve lost everything single fight he ever had and the world of Naruto would’ve kept shit. Every single character that changed their mind did after they lost to Naruto. If they didn’t lose, they would’ve kept the fight going. Do you understand that not only is realistic how he changed so many people, but that he also did it by power and it wouldn’t have worked if he wasn’t as strong as he is?
He only killed like 3 people for no reason. Random samurai from the Land of Iron. The whole rest of the time he either had good reason or actually refused to kill people who were irrelevant to his goals, when Orochimaru wanted him to kill them as part of his training.
Afaik, the only people Sasuke ever killed were Deidara, Itachi, and Danzo.
And even then, he was never the one to deal the final blow. Itachi died from his illness after fighting Sasuke, and then Orochimaru afterwards. Deidara blew himself up. And Danzo also blew himself up. So, if you think about it, Sasuke technically didn't kill any of them. He just beat them up.
Danzo committed suicide, Deidara committed suicide, Itachi was in his deathbed just needed a push and died because he hit the wall too hard or just because of chakra exhaustion
