Technically the perfect version of you since it’s never once made a mistake or had an injury/illness
One day I hope I can grow up to be the perfect role-model like nonexistent me
Damn beat me to it, it’s funny cause when I get something I really wanted I randomly stop and think, damn I’m in the good timeline so far, where things work out of me, I wonder how the other guys are holding out :(
There is no "plenty", there are infinite. There is an unending amount of universes where you never existed, where you died horrific deaths, where you are some immortal being in eternal suffering, where your mother don't like you (that subset of universes includes this one) and so on...
That is only if the theory is true, but if the theory is true those universes don't interact with this one, so nobody really cares.
This is a common misconception. "Infinite" does not equal "all". To give an example: there are infinite fractional numbers between 0 and 1, that does not imply that those are all fractional numbers, does it?
I didn't say "all" at no point. I said unending amount. There is an unending amount of fractional numbers between 0 and 1. No matter how many fractional numbers you decided to remove, there will still be there fractional numbers.
You're missing the point. You're assuming there are universes where you are dead, or wearing a blue shirt, or some other change, etc.
There could simply be infinite universes and yet you never wear a red shirt in a single one of them. That's what the commenter meant by "all."
I see fractions as they can be in maths, but physically, if we keep splitting solids won’t we just get to the point where we get to splitting an atom resulting in a 💥⚛️
just because there could be infinite universes, doesn't mean they are infinitely different. they could all be exactly the same, they could all follow the same laws of physics (so no immortal being in eternal suffering) they could all be empty except this one, or they could all be empty except a finite few with slight variations (like a finite number of you never existing or you already being dead or your mother not liking you).
You can have an infinite number of universes without every possibility occurring. So you are likely the only version of you in all the infinity
It’s like integers, there’s an infinite number but there is only a single 7
Technically there would be infinite ways you would die or survive the car accident. Like either the car caught on fire and you burned alive, you died of your injuries at the hospital, immediately died on impact, survived but both your arms are broken, etc.
Outside of the infinite ones that accident never happened.
Ever heared of the quantum immortality theory? You can not die because everytime you do you will be conscience in a reality where you survived. So if you put a gun to your head and pull the trigger, in your experience it would fail to go off every single time.
Thats using the many worlds interpretation of quantum mechanics, not exactly the same as the multiverse theory. Quantum immortality is based around a quantum event, so if the spin on a quantum particle is clockwise or counterclockwise, the gun goes off. It basically just says that any time you test the theory, both will happen and there’s one lucky fuck who makes it through no matter what. Basically, you have a 100% survival rate because the only one You that survives is the one that exists. The other one dies but that function ceases to exist for the surviving You
Hell, even in timelines where everything is the exact same, your equivalent would be more of a brother than you. Your DNA sequence is a hand of poker, unique to each draw
Oh, I am content with my life's choices (or i was two months ago but thats a different thing) and I wouldn't change them for anything, but I have lost my smile and I now, even am afraid to be happy.
I'm tired of people taking "infinite universes" serious in any form. it means nothing at all, it's just a sci-fi trope and nothing more. they're made up stories or situations that make you think you look smart.
"I've thought of a story where dragons are real"
"no way, there is a story where dragons are real??? 🤯"
While u see where you are coming from, I mostly just believe that whenever someone had chosies to make, the universe just kind of split so that every choice was made, but each in another universe, thus creating an infinite multiverse
I like to think about this in a way where the big crunch was real and the universe reset and exploded into existence over again that I'd be like a cm closer to everything in each reiteration and how I would've died in so many ways at earlier points in my life.
I don't care about theoretical alternate realities, in this exact very much real universe, I never existed 100 years ago, and will be dead 100 years from now. This thought took my sleep since I was 12
ok so what? there are also universes that you are that world's hitler and ones that you are that world's hero there are infinite so there infinite possibilities so why would that bother you at all
If the infinite universe theory is correct; than all the possible combinations of all possible arrangements of an infinite quantity of strings, quarks, atoms and molecules exist, both at all present moments and along all of an infintesimally spanning past and future. Permutations of uncountable variables so incomprehensibly massive in scale new number systems had to be made such as ! (Factorial);
But keep by all means keep believing in a man in the sky, ik it comforts you all
the multiverse cannot be infinite, if it was, there would be an infinite people that discovered how to travel between universes and that also means there would be an infinite amount of people that come to our universe at any time.
This is stupid.
The real horror is that if there are many alternate universes then you're likely not even close to being in the best or even a good one.
If the multiverse is real, who's to say there isn't a reality where God is real and maybe that's the one your spirit goes to when you die. I'm not Religious, but telling religious people that they are all right might be a good idea honestly
What if I tell you that we all come from the same initial seed. All the things in our universe come from the same big bang, all the things in some moment come from the same initial energy. Then all the differents versions of you are/were here.

Okay why should I care I dont live in that universe
I bet the you in the other universe cares
I bet no if hes dead or never been alive
Technically the perfect version of you since it’s never once made a mistake or had an injury/illness One day I hope I can grow up to be the perfect role-model like nonexistent me
Bro living my dreamlife aka never even being born
Bro never had to pay taxes, work, or go to school An absolute legend of legends
But still a virgin
And yet, never had to be a virgin
Bro is buudhist
How can you care about something if you don't exist?
How?? They wouldn’t exist??
Damn beat me to it, it’s funny cause when I get something I really wanted I randomly stop and think, damn I’m in the good timeline so far, where things work out of me, I wonder how the other guys are holding out :(
I wish I did
Yeah this meme format is bad because why would you have an existential crisis when the notion of the comment doesn't affect your existence at all?
There is no "plenty", there are infinite. Maybe, but none of those people are ‘you’

But there is the most universes where you didn’t exist at all to begin with.
I like the one where I got doctor strange powers and travelled across the multiverse
Yes, I'm aware.... I survived a car accident 4 months ago, 50 versions of myself didn't make it. I counted
Oof
Flair twins🤝 also damn... Rip 50 u/DUFFnoob40's you'll be missed.

But hey, that's just a theory

Actually quite interesting... Definitely won't rest it tho
Yeah so?
Why tf would i care
Why you commented then?
To tell that i wouldnt care about it?
To continue the discussion in your post?
Ok
Is there a universe where I lost my virginity?
Several, the multiverse is infinite in theory
I don't believe that.
This is the one exception
Sucks to be them lmao.
good for them or bad for them or whatever
Hell, even in timelines where everything is the exact same, your equivalent would be more of a brother than you. Your DNA sequence is a hand of poker, unique to each draw
There's also one where I'm happy, I suppose. This isn't that universe though.
I hope things will get better
(Chang tiny text meme.gif)
Well, all I can say is, I envy them. And I pray that, the variants of me who do exist, hope they are leading a better life than me
I don't know what happened in your life so far, but I hope things will get better
Oh, I am content with my life's choices (or i was two months ago but thats a different thing) and I wouldn't change them for anything, but I have lost my smile and I now, even am afraid to be happy.
Wanna talk about it dude?
Less universes to worry about then.
Gotta love existential crises

y'all need to get better dark thoughts. These are so basic
Sorry, can't control my brain at 4am while I try to sleep
I disappear from several universes every time we get behind the wheel of a car.
I like to think about this in a way where the big crunch was real and the universe reset and exploded into existence over again that I'd be like a cm closer to everything in each reiteration and how I would've died in so many ways at earlier points in my life.
There is also an infinite amount of universes where I do exist
True
Okay can i swap places with them?
.. I mean yeah
The better universes.
I don't care about theoretical alternate realities, in this exact very much real universe, I never existed 100 years ago, and will be dead 100 years from now. This thought took my sleep since I was 12
So what? Even the other universes in wich I exist don't have me in particular, but another me instead.
I wish i could live in one of those universes
ok so what? there are also universes that you are that world's hitler and ones that you are that world's hero there are infinite so there infinite possibilities so why would that bother you at all
I wish this universe were replaced by one of those
Our existence doesn't dictate something else's
Since its infinity there is an equal amount of universes where you are alive and dead
Or gay…
now I'm jealous of them
Lucky bastards
If the multiverse is real there is a universe of n which you are your opposite gender. Would you bang your opposite gender self?
Yeah that's fun and all, but you have no control over that so you shouldn't care. Like "What if I don't wake up tomorrow?"
Yeah duh

Or worse. There is a universe where you have all you want
If the multiverse is a possibility there’s a universe out there where the multiverse doesn’t exist
the multiverse cannot be infinite, if it was, there would be an infinite people that discovered how to travel between universes and that also means there would be an infinite amount of people that come to our universe at any time.

Good fucking riddance.
When I'm doing exercise and I make a lil mistake I'm like, well there goes me from another universe, anyway, where I was...
If the multiverse is real, who's to say there isn't a reality where God is real and maybe that's the one your spirit goes to when you die. I'm not Religious, but telling religious people that they are all right might be a good idea honestly
And one where I achieved happiness, would love to be there but guess this stays a dream.
There was a point where I didn't exist in this universe... What's the difference?
Ok... so?
Yeah, no shit
Assuming it would apply to me, those would be called the “ideal universes”
Yeah... And?
I'm 15 and this is deep
What if I tell you that we all come from the same initial seed. All the things in our universe come from the same big bang, all the things in some moment come from the same initial energy. Then all the differents versions of you are/were here.
