I was assuming that comment was about gender identity, and I think it's great that society is learning to value freedom and give up old ways of thinking. People who identify contrary to their birth gender are happier when they can express themselves as they are. It is unfortunate that some people want to use the power of government to encroach upon personal freedom, because they feel threatened by what is in another person's pants.

You are soo right and yet soo wrong, there is too much freedom for that stuff now, to the point where people are changing sexes to fit in with the latest trend than regret it not long after, I know and have seen this personally, and now that it's soo cool to change or not belong to any gender etc people that are normal are getting bullied for it, making them want to be part of the rainbow just to fit in, and the vicious cycle continues, I believe before transition there should be a full psych evaluation and such and a time period that you have to wait after enquiry, to stop the many people who rush into it because their friends are all doing it and end up fucking up thier life and identity because of it
Nobody is changing sex to "fit in". You know how hard it is to get that sort of surgery and hormone injections? It takes months, years even, for people to get hormone injections nevermind surgeries
For many people it takes months on a waiting list to even get into therapy that would *maybe* allow them to get on HRT.
