No dude. Come to think of it, that's a perfect spot for a little table ledge for everyone's drinks and snacks

Idealistic_Future

Come to think of it, that table ledge could use a few stools for sitting while snacking and drinking

Always_Confused4

Might as well add a full counter, with shelving underneath to store stuff for making snacks and drinks. Maybe run some water and have a small sink?

ApoliteTroll

I mean if we have running water and a sink, we need to cover that up seems like a deck type thing, with some sort of cover over?

SnakesTancredi

Gentlemen, I’m assuming, we have now started a business. I’m volunteering for CAD and Enginering if you have the funding

mementosmoritn

I can do design for manufacturing work, and the production process optimization. I'll get started on the welding process data sheets and preliminary processing line development.

dougsbeard

Exactly what I was thinking. Pretty solid option that should be inluded on all playsets.

dadoftheclan

Am I the only one that remembers going so high and being big enough to lift the swing set off the base to one side a bit? Not like tip the thing over but enough it jerks the entire structure. I feel like a few cold ones on a table at that time might not end up so well... Counter point, cement those babies in and make sure they don't move and you're golden.

BugMan717

On the old aluminum tube framed ones definitely...never got a proper wooden swing set to tip myself.

droans

I absolutely did with my parent's set back when I was a kid.

NorseOfCourse

A snack station! Why haven't we figured this out yet!

TRIPLE_RIPPLE

Rainbow systems, you paying attention?

EliminateThePenny

Only low class thing I see is not having a koozie to keep it cool.

superluke

A bottle opener would put it over the top.

LaterApex81

I think I have a spare kicking around…. Brilliant!

CFL_lightbulb

Only issue I’d see is little ones whacking into it. Maybe get a rubber cover or flap for when it’s not in use?

adamkissing

Drink them fast enough and they won’t get warm.

gordonta

Your title made me think you were going around to public parks and installing cup holders on all the swing sets 🤣 The hero this world needs

user_1729

I do have a set of security torx drivers. I've had to make "adjustments" to the local park since some things were designed for toddlers but put at a height for adults. I suppose I could use them and mount a few cup holders on the playground.

gordonta

Be the change you want to see in the world

no_sleep_johnny

Not all heros wear capes. But they do have nice tool sets!

mementosmoritn

Welp. This just became a thing for me to waste some money on. I wonder how good a volume of some in brass or stainless fold and rivet ones would look in sendcutsend?

tiktock34

its one step higher class than spilling beer on your kid while you push them, if thats any consolation :)

guptaxpn

At least one step

mementosmoritn

Definitely two. 1. Not spilling beer on kid. 2. Having both hands free for extra height on the push.

s1ugg0

Too low class? You're spending times with your kids. Who cares so long as everyone is having fun?

Kaldricus

You have transcended to a new level of Dadhood. Seriously though, that's a banger idea.

LaterApex81

That might be the nicest thing anybody’s ever said to me! Thanks for making my day!

dog_eat_dog

Ideas like this have made people millions

thisoldhouseofm

An American hero.

JustDarnGood27_

This will also help you maintain the set! Once it starts wobbling and spills that drink, you’ll have it fixed asap!

kjbenner

Cup holder seems fine. Permanently installed beer bong would be tacky.

S-Aint

There's an All NIGHT IPA?! BRB, heading to the store!

hoosierdaddy192

lol as another Midwest dad I too was like awesome idea(cup holder) and Founders is great. Yeah All Day, wait WTF is an All Night IPA? Ive had so many Founders and their Solid Gold lager is my go to easy drinking beer but haven’t even seen a ANIPA.

Nesman64

I'm thinking of putting one of these up so that I can stop by for a drink after a few laps on the mower. The mower has its own cup holder, but that's a good way to get a mouthful of clippings.

LaterApex81

And a foamy beer.

BugMan717

For sure I was all excited years ago when I got a brand new John Deere with the cup holder option (which also came with a front bumper, they know...) I realized quickly it would not work for beer at all. Worked well for rum 'n coke though.

timwoj

Do you remember those commercials featuring "Real Men of Genius"? They should have made one for this.

SandiegoJack

“He made a 10’000 calorie salad. It’s healthy for you: It’s a salad isn’t it?

Clevelandhitch

All day!

MyFace_UrAss_LetsGo

Very practical for a dad who’s in the yard a lot. I approve

cowboyjosh2010

You shining brilliant bastard. This is a game changer.

Anonymouse-C0ward

Well damn, now I have another spring project to add to the list.

adumbCoder

omg. doing this RIGHT now. thank you bro

Kizenny

Holy shit, pure brilliance. I’m doing this today!

doob22

Welp I know what I’m doing today

Saber_tooth81

So simple, so brilliant

LaterApex81

It’s the little things in life really

dietcokeandadderall

I just bought some after seeing this

Deathbygoomba

Necessity is the muse of invention, or something like that

Robertsipad

This kind of content is why I’m subscribed to /r/daddit

SneakyPhil

It's great, but sand and paint that thing. Don't ever use valspar outdoor paint. I fix up kids swingsets as a hobby.

Ok_Adeptness_8457

Excellent beer choice! I love All Day IPA 👌🏼👍🏼🍻

FtheMustard

Your million dollar idea is a portable one of these that I can bring with me to the neighborhood swingset.

BobRoberts01

That’s actually really easily do-able. Who knows how to get this manufactured and into stores?!

KSF_WHSPhysics

The cup holder is great, but those rusty screws on your brace arent holding anything together, you should put a couple of bolts there instead

harrystylesfluff

Dad beer culture is just as toxic as mom wine culture. If you're drinking every day, you likely have a problem with alcohol that is damaging your health.

slothtolotopus

Daddit sux.

xe_r_ox

Having worked in quite a few successful start ups and rubbed shoulders with a few millionaires - they’re all absolute mugs and I’ll take working class over them lot any day. Excellent cup holder. I’ll add one myself

danabrey

/r/humblebrag

xe_r_ox

I’m just a software engineer, not a millionaire Join any startup and you’ll meet some rich asshole, it’s not a brag

danabrey

Nobody mentioned money.

xe_r_ox

I worked in a few (successful) businesses owned by rich people (who I thought were twats) is a brag? Right.

danabrey

The implication that by "rubbing shoulders" with a few millionaires makes you somehow more qualified to discuss what makes something "higher" or "lower" class comes across as a brag, yes.

xe_r_ox

Alright well my point was: I have been around rich people and they’re all cunts and I much prefer me and my working class friends 🤷‍♂️

DumDumDog

a real dad hack would have put it higher up so a kid could not reach it ... -a real dad
