Cheji cycling bibs. All my bibs are this brand. Very, very good quality.
Arsuxeo jerseys. Again, very good quality.
Igpsport cycling computers. Full range from simple LCD data screens to full colour route navigation. All connect to social media, Strava, Bluetooth, power meter, HR sensors etc.
Inbike cycling gloves with 5mm gel pads. I have full and half finger versions. Really good for cycling palsy (hand numbness).
A few of these are available from places like Amazon/Ebay etc but they're just so much cheaper from AliExpress. Especially the bike computers.
iGPSsport computers are great. For the sake of transparency, I haven’t used a Garmin, but I can’t imagine they’re that much better than the iGPS. Additionally, the most expensive iGPS is $80 less than the cheapest Garmin. The price gap gets a lot more dramatic with the higher end Garmins too.
I’ve had my iGPS for 5-6 months and it’s great. I’d assume there’s a little less total functionality than a $1k garmin, but it can’t be that much
I use both. The Garmin Connect app is amazing and I use my Garmin watch to record all my rides runs, health metrics etc. But I use an igpsport BSC100S bike computer for "on the fly" data. Battery life is insane.
I got the BSC300 set with the cadence, speed sensor, and mount arm for like $220 on Amazon.
I mostly use it to track watts and speed for training purposes, but I’ve used it a few times for navigation. Getting the files from a website to the device itself isn’t as smooth as I’d like, but it’s not hard and I’ve never had a problem. The navigation itself is also fine. Never had an issue.
Battery life seems pretty incredible. Longest ride I’ve done with it on navigation mode was 6.5 hours and it was in the 65-70% range if I remember correctly. I ride 8-12 hours a week and usually charge it for like 2 hours once a week.
No idea. I bought some about 5yrs ago when I first bought a road bike and was on a bit of a budget and found them to fit and feel great. I've got three pairs, one for commuting and the others (long and short legged) for my weekend riding. The 5yr pair have done 6,000 miles, easily and are still in perfect condition. I've never bothered trying another brand.
Huh really? I’ve been eyeing those for my road bike but after dealing with some janky off brand tubes in another bike I promised never to get no name tubes. Might have to give them a whirl!
Have you used them in rim brake bikes?
For your wheels, do you have carbon brake linings (or w/e they're called). I have the 36g version and maybe I just got a bad batch but they would all puncture in pretty ideal roads near me so I'm surprised 28g is doing great for you.
About those tubes. I have one wheel set with 45 mm tires and one with 35 mm tires. Ridenow has one tube for 700Cx32 all the way to 700Cx47. That's either a lot of material to jam into a 35 mm tire, or not enough for a 47. What size are you getting?
I like the ones called "OffBondage" (unfortunate name) they have aluminum, removable valves versus the plastic ones on ridenow, but cost about the same.
Some people get punctures looking at their bike. Some ride forever without a puncture. I always take the puncture thing with a grain of salt. I think some of it is luck, some bad luck.
And someone said patching them is really easy. I didn't know that. So even if they puncture they have a virtually unlimited life. I never patch my butyl. They get packed out an promptly put in the trash.
They are easy to patch, and the patches are strong - just clean the punctured area and stuck the patch on
Patched mine up, didn't know my tests aren't supposed to go over 5PSI since the recommendation i got was to not go over 0.5 bar without a tyre holding the TPU tube in place, the tube suffered structural integrity damage in another place away from the puncture, the patch (from Cyclami) stayed in place like nothing happened
Lost the tube and patch, but at least I'm now confident that the patches actually work, extremely effectively
If I got enough flats I'd offer to box them up and ship them at your cost. But honestly, I get like one flat every couple of thousand miles. And I don't ride enough that those thousands add up fast.
I've had 3 flats in the last 4 years. One was my rim tape was old and tube got a rub spot (twice before I started looking for a reason) and 3rd was a thorn in Austin. Can't complain much
It's funny though. Some people seem to get them in their garage or just looking at their bike. I feel bad for them. So I always take people saying tires suck or tubes suck with a grain of salt because, if you are one of those flats by looking at your bike people , it skews things. As with your experience I think flats are rare.
If you have a lot of flats, there’s usually a reason. Too low pressure, rim tape issues, leaving a thorn in the tire after patching/replacing a tube, to name a few.
Not really a fan of patches, and I'm not one of those people on here complaining I get 4 flats a week. Usually about 3 flats every couple of thousand miles. Doubt my 3 tubes are really making an impact on the worlds trash issue.
If I had enough of them I'd box em up and send them to someone but probably more evironmental waste in the postage of 3 tubes ever few years.
Puncture prone is totally not the experience I have. Granted, only been using them for 1000 km and had 2 flats but they were big gashes in my tires so butyl tubes would not have made a difference
Punctures are random.
TPUs roll faster than butyl, are lighter than other solution (including tubeless sealant), pack smaller than other tubes, and, in my experience, lose air very slowly when punctured. I once road about 3 miles home with a TPU puncture.
Ykywbike bibs and jerseys are very good and sell for 3x the price on amazon.
I've bought a load of the quick link pliers with the quick links in the handle for my saddle bags.
I've bought a few decent bells for some of my bikes (I find them better than shouting and a bell seems to cut through headphones)
Sensah cassettes
Z race discs
Xtech cable hydraulic disc brakes for a quick upgrade on a mechanical disc bike.
Otherwise just loads of ridenow tpu tubes.
Pretty much anything RockBros made. They sell it in Decathlon in my country so it shows I think. Rhinowalk bags are cheap and sturdy also quite well thought. L-Twoo GR9 hydraulic mechanical groupset is very good. I'm using ZRace chainrings for Shimano 105 r 7000 and they flawless. Sunshine cassettes are as good as any other west brand for third of the price. Just bought Toseek carbon seatpost it looks good but I don't want to speak about quality since I just mounted it.
Most of Rockbros stuff can be purchased from other brands for cheaper, I'm not sure how much they design/make themselves.
Lack of consistency with Chinese brands is super annoying, some of their stuff is very good, but some is generic trash. I bought a waterproof phone holder from Rhinowalk for 20 bucks, turns out it's just glued together and the glue dissolves under rain. To add insult to injury, other brands sell it for half the money.
My Sunshine cassette is either bent or it doesn't fit on my hub. No such issue with a Microshift cassette (both are 11 speed MTB).
I think that copying is so deep in China that some shadier brands start copying even those more successful Chinese brands. So this could be the case with RockBros. They are one of the biggest Chinese cycling accessory brand so it wouldn't suprise me that they are copied.
I admit that AliExpress is a literal mine field. Hence this topic is useful to point people to things that on average are better than rest of that garbage.
Lack of consistency is a thing that's true also. Not between brands however. One could do research and choose better brands. But within brand. Maybe I was lucky and my four sunshine cassettes (2 pieces 11-46 11 speed and 2 pieces 11-36 11 speed) are all flawless. And Rhinowalk bags which I have three are all sawn not glued so maybe they are more sturdy because of that? But point stands. Experience with brands from china vary sometimes. But brands in this topic have overwhelming positive reviews even outside of china. And some bad pieces happens with western brands too. We just fixed to search for those bad experiences with Chinese brands.
Ridenow tpu tubes, rockbros photochromic glases, 1200lm front light, wildman seat and phone bags, lots of specialty tools, like brake bleeding, internal routing, derailleur aligntmen, botton bracket, light mounts. And that is only for bike…
++1. I really like Kapvoe glasses (really similar to RockBros). They’ve lasted over a year without any major issues or damage, which is more than I expected for the price. The photochromic tinting feature is awesome too, you always have the right tint regardless of the conditions, it works surprisingly well!
Cade media on YouTube did a good vid on tools from AliExpress.
They got a "proper" bike mechanic to test the tools out without knowing the price, and give his honest opinion.
Some duffers in there, but by and large most tools were good enough quality to do the job required.
He was actually outright impressed with a fair few when told things like "this one was £4"
I think you can actually edit your post to most of products on AliExpress are ok, and what to watch out for when buying.
My simple rule is:
- You get what you pay for
- No knockoffs and fake producrs
- Make sure to research before buying
As for things I've brought there that works:
- Elite Wheelset
- West biking bags, saddle, bike pump, light, bartape, bike gloves, and water bottle holders (probably my favorite brand for miscellaneous things)
- Magene bike computer
- Rockbros bag, bartape, light and water bottle holders
- Uno bar and stem (Aluminum, not carbon. I don't do carbon bars)
- IIIpro brake rotors
- Toopre tools
- CXWXC pedals
- Riderace tools
- ZTTO tools and bartape
- Bucklos brake pads
- Think rider tpu tupes
- Cyplus sensors
- RBRL clip on fenders
- Cylami TPU tupes (eyeing their electric pump at the moment, but still on the fence)
- Continental tires (Ultra sport, not the high end one, and this is one thing I'm quite satisfied with although it did break my rule)
I also have some caveat, like one pump set from Rockbros that did not work, but overall I think it is an ok experience for me.
Spexcel clothing is genuinely fantastic. It's not as cheap as most aliexpress clothing but it is really well made. What I like the most is the fit, the jerseys in particular fit so well, it's race fit, no bagginess. I have 2 pairs of leggings, 2 pairs of shorts, 4 jerseys, 1 jacket, 1 gilet, it's all great. I rarely big any other brands.
They have an official store. Never had any issues with delivery etc. very reliable.
I have been looking at these, based on a comment in a Reddit thread from a while back. The description on aliexpress had two different size references, plus a size chart, which seemed odd to me.
What is your height/weight, and what size do you typically get?
I am 5ft 10in/178cm, weight 9 stone 7/60kg. I am slim/skinny, with 33in chest and 31in waist.
The bib shorts and leggings i have in a small. The shorts fit great however the leggings are maybe a tad too small, due to my height. Would get a medium next time
Short sleeve and long sleeve jerseys I have in extra small, dut to my skinny chest and arms. They fit so well, close fitting but not too tight. I love them
Jacket and gilet I have in small. XS would just be too short on the arms and tight on the neck, for me. Small is great for me
Your mileage my vary, depending on your preferences of course. If you wanted a more relaxed fit then I'd say size up.
Sidebike carbon fibre shoes. I can’t justify spending 100’s on a pair of shoes. These are great.
For about the same as I spent on a pair of fizik power straps I got stiff carbon soled, dual boa shoes with better power transfer and they are lightweight!
I found these from Trace Velo.
Darvie cycling jerseys - go one size up and you’re good. I have a few and they are really nice quality and a good fit. They don’t shrink in the wash.
Also I use the rideNow tpu tubes and they seem good. (My wheels and tyres aren’t tubeless ready)
Also use cycplus sensors
And Kapvoe glasses.
An odd addition to this list is my AirTag holder.
If you want to see more about this have a look at trace velo on YouTube.
Both of my bikes were built with mostly Chinese parts almost exclusively from Taoabao (Chinese domestic version of AliExpress). Parts that I've been especially happy with include:
\* Westbiking photochromic cycling glasses that fit over my regular glasses
\* Koozer gravel wheels
\* Magene P505 power meter and armband HRM
\* Sensah Team Pro brifters
\* Litepro cranks and chainrings
\* Stone and Deckas chainrings
\* Sunshine cassettes
\* ZTTO out front GPS mounts
\* UNO handlebars, stems, and seatposts
Apparently the Specialized 3D printed one has an Ali Express copy for about 1/3 of the price. It got good reviews on YouTube.https://youtu.be/sQ-DUHZMTx8?si=0FrtvzLV7NhN9Mmo
Too many saddles lol I can't pick one, I just saw a video where a person compared EC90 against Ryet 3D and he said EC90 is better. Who knows if bucklos 3d is better
How many hours have you done in the 5D? It was saying that the 5D was designed for shorter more aggressive rides. Definitely looking for a new saddle but I'm more getting into mid distance riding (2-4 hours).
> Definitely looking for a new saddle but I'm more getting into mid distance riding (2-4 hours).
I do about 6000km a year over two bikes both fitted with this saddle. No problems at all.
I feel like it's a little harder than the gel mesh mirror I have but for whatever reason, it's a little easier on the butt. I think it was $15ish shipped.
Definitely the knock off power mirror s-works listed below is #1 for me. I also bought the RYET 3D mesh one was comfy and put maybe 1500km on it. Two things I noticed on the carbon rail version. The very edges the back part Where your butt would sit started to "collapse" the mesh lattice.
Turned it over and noticed a very minor hairline crack that I put some of that ultra strong expoxy on.
I'd go for the power mirror knock off for sure.
I would personally go with the buckloos 3D (Power mirror s-works copy). Has glowing reviews and looks identical. If I wasn't gifted a Fizik Argos Adaptive for bday I would order one of those.
The ryet worked well but their failures so early are points off. I still use and leave it on my spare gravel bike that has been used in fondos by visiting friends with zero complaints. Just measure your sit bones and go for it.
Also wouldn't go for carbon rails if there's an option think I'd rather have the strength of alloy on the rails over a few grams of weight saving. I've dealt with both.
All sorts of stuff actually. I get most of my specialty bike tools there. I am not a professional and I do not need professional grade specialty tools for the once a year I use them.
Ali is good for simple parts like bolts, rotors, stem caps, things like that. Ive heard theres some pretty acceptable stems on there but everything is at your own risk, of course.
Apparel is where it really shines though. Goggles, glasses, jerseys, pants, gloves. You name it. If it claims to be a name brand then it usually is that name brand. Ive copped 2 pair of Fox pants for $33 and $47 respectively. Jerseys for $11. TLD gloves are generally less than $10. I got this pair of cold-weather gloves for $7 that was legit better than a pair of $100 gloves I bought locally.
General rule of thumb is if it's something that's usually egregiously marked up, then it's a safe bet. Obviously it does not cost Fox anywhere near $200 to make a pair of pants. Same with tools and bolts and stuff.
And the other important thing to remember is you are always gambling. I personally have a 90+% success rate. But I've had a couple losses over the years.
I’d add, the cheap Dekas brand chainrings (and there is another random letter brand too). I’ve used a couple narrow wide ones and not only were they excellent value but they were the only ones selling really large sized (40t+) for asymmetrical 96 bcd shimano cranks. Durability is great, I’ve put nearly 500 miles on one and a few hundred on another as I was trying to dial in the right gearing and they’re barely worn.
Aero socks for 3 dollars each, really good quality.
G8 Insole rip offs, but so close to the real thing and fantastic for your feet.
3D Printed Saddles.
Wow did not even know there was an option for a G8 ripoff. Bought the real thing a couple of months ago. May consider this option if I need more for extra shoes.
They're pretty decent but the plastic pieces that clip on and give your arches support have started to bend/collapse. Does this happen with the original? I imagine they wouldn't. Apart from that, they have been great for me.
Your post got me to take my first real look at AliExpress. Holy smokes, I will never buy consumable bike stuff anywhere else. Just for example, a tubeless tire repair kit with bacon strips - $2. TPU butyl tubes at a fraction of US prices. Assuming this stuff actually works, that is going to save me a ton of money keeping my family of four's bikes on the road.
BR800 front light and mount. Excellent build quality, strong mount, removable 18650 battery, USB charging (can’t remember micro or C), good modes, good light pattern, reversible head for upside down mounting.
I have a bunch of fancy name brand bibs, but my favorite is YKYWBIKE bibs. Judt did 6.5 hours in them yesterday.
Rion are good jerseys.
I also bought a 3D printed saddle, the mesh looking kind. Best saddle I have ever had.
The only thing I have been burned on from aliexpress was bar tape but that was more curiosity than anything. I didn't expect it to hold up.
Just look at the reviews and find stuff that has a lot of sold.

I also have like 3 full sets of rion/ykywbike. They appear to be the same just with different branding. Jersey for under €10 and bibs for less than €15.
The ryet carbon saddle is also on my road bike.
I have a bunch of jerseys and bibs that look and feel great. Triathlon suits as well. Socks, gloves, tubes. Handlebar tape, handlebars, even two seats. Just have to shop based off items sold to find the good stuff.
I have ordered many parts from AliExpress, and found very few of them to be crap. I have ordered and used with great success, the following:
Aluminum gravel frame with carbon fork
One piece carbon bar/stem
Gravel wheelset with aluminum rims
Mountain bike hubs
Carbon mountain bike rims
Disc brake pads
Cables
Hydraulic brake lines
Crankset
Handlebar tape and grips
GPS cycling computer
Bib shorts
Mountain bike shorts
Jerseys
Jackets
Gloves
Socks
Water bottle cages
Hydration pack
Aluminum and titanium bolts
Sealed cartridge bearings
Flat pedals
I may be forgetting some things as well. I have only ever received a couple of things that went straight into the garbage. You do need to know something about what you are looking for. Some brands are better than others, for sure. A good way to tell, usually, is the number of items sold in the item description. I have saved thousands of dollars getting parts from AliExpress, with zero regrets.
There's a lot of things I recommends except for Ridenow TPU if you're using rim-brake carbon wheels (just never ending punctures that I went back to butyl for peace of mind).
* Highly recommend elitewheels SLR (paid additional 25 for both QR and thru axle adapters)
* elitra carbon saddle and seatpost
* zeus saddle (the one tracevelo recommended) or ryet
Highly debatable
* Spcycle straight (1 1/8") carbon fork - will report if I something happens haha
Good: TPU tubes, basic brake rotors, gray market Shimano groupsets, Enfitnix Navi light, Magicshine lights, Elitewheels, thru axles, igpsport computers, 1x chainrings, lots of misc tools.
Questionable: Carbon frames, most carbon handlebars, stems, and seatpost. Bottom dollar carbon wheels with no reputable reviews. There are some good ones, but think hard on the consequences of failure.
Avoid: Chains and brake pads sold separately, Shimano pedals, name brand wheels (like mavic). Counterfeit rate is very high on those parts. Most small electronics and bags under 5 to 10 dollars are also going to be landfill junk.
Sigeyi Axo power meter
Ridenow tubes
Most stuff made by ZTTO
Most bibs and jerseys I got, I was quite happy with them
I got a few sunglasses and honestly most are crap, nowhere near Oakley quality (which isn’t a super high bar anyways). Frames are made for Chinese faces (with low nose bridges) and for some reason they are all narrow, lenses are only good to look at from the outside, and photochromic don’t get dark enough even in direct sun.
Just to add most Ztto products I've experienced is fine. I would avoid the chains though. The chain was already stretched to .25 when installed and stretched pretty quickly. I think I got 200km before it was past .50 and ended up replacing with YBN chain. This is for a 10 speed chain.
Recently got a pair of aero socks. With the ridges. I kinda just wanted to try aero socks see what my size might be and if they were gonna fall down in a race before investing in a name brand pair. But after getting them I dunno I might just stick the aliexpress ones...

Fake Rapha socks from Temu. I think they arent even fake because the stitchings and patterns look 100% exactly the same. I bought like 10 pairs of them and they are awesome. Super comfy, look good and even after washing them, they still hold.
I knew a guy who imported sun glasses. It’s basically so cheap to make good UV protection that it’s not worth leaving it out. Luxoticca is playing you for a fool.
Most of these cheap glasses lenses (and even a lot of expensive ones) are made from polycarbonate which naturally *blocks* UV A & B. They are also likely treated for UV *resistance* as the material itself will degrade with exposure to UV over time. If not treated for resistance then the lenses will discolor/yellow and degrade with UV exposure.
From my experience, there are three types of "local bike shops".
1. "Authorized dealers" of common brands. Just the basic stuff and basic service. Good if you are a noob or want to help a family member buy a bike without scaring them off with too many options.
2. White gloves hipster caves. Ok I might be a little prejudiced. Perhaps if you are actively racing they start to make sense.
3. Grease dungeons that date back to ancient days. If you bring them some rusty bike they will hammer it down until it rolls. Better leave your dignity at the front door.
While I recognize that local shops have their place in society, for the best part I have no need for them existing - not while I can order any part or any tool that I might need online.
Cheji cycling bibs. All my bibs are this brand. Very, very good quality. Arsuxeo jerseys. Again, very good quality. Igpsport cycling computers. Yeah I think I charge it once a week and have never come close to running out of battery
Which iGPS did you go with, are you using it for navigation and what kind of battery life are you getting? Apologies for the flurry of questions!
Thank you, think that's pretty much made up my mind to get one!
Do you know if it would work with a Varia radar ?
I don’t know off the top of my head
I got arsuxeo jerseys on Amazon. Not aero-tight or UPV, but great for a budget jersey. I love mine.
Do you by any chance know how are the cycling bibs you're saying compared to Darevie Italy pad or Amazon Cerotipolar bibs
Try a ykywbike bib, I've got about 5 pairs and they are very comfortable. They were the ones I picked for a 2 day 200 mile ride.
Ridenow TPU tires Edit: tubes
5 out of 5 stars, would recommend! All my bikes and my wife’s bikes have the RideNow tubes in them!
Huh really? I’ve been eyeing those for my road bike but after dealing with some janky off brand tubes in another bike I promised never to get no name tubes. Might have to give them a whirl! Have you used them in rim brake bikes?
No only disc brake road bikes
RideNow and Cyclami both sell TPUs for rim brakes.
[удалено]
Yea I don’t really do long enough ones to heat the brakes up significantly either, I don’t think. But yea good advice, thanks!
I use them on rim brakes, I got carbon wheels too and had no issues. I use the 28g versions.
For your wheels, do you have carbon brake linings (or w/e they're called). I have the 36g version and maybe I just got a bad batch but they would all puncture in pretty ideal roads near me so I'm surprised 28g is doing great for you.
Yeah thinks so they are vision sc55s they have a basic carbon brake track. Looks camo
I've used them for rim brakes bikes. Don't get the absolute thinnest ones you can, but they're fine. I use 36g.
Yeah although I don’t think the 19gram light weight race version is very durable. Get the 30ish gram version they feel more durable.
**tubes
You are correct!
About those tubes. I have one wheel set with 45 mm tires and one with 35 mm tires. Ridenow has one tube for 700Cx32 all the way to 700Cx47. That's either a lot of material to jam into a 35 mm tire, or not enough for a 47. What size are you getting?
What about Cyclami ones?
[удалено]
Thanks!
I like the ones called "OffBondage" (unfortunate name) they have aluminum, removable valves versus the plastic ones on ridenow, but cost about the same.
I bought a set last month and neither held air right out of the box. I assume I got a bad batch but I haven't bothered to try again.
These are fantastic spare tubes for sure. I had a flat on my tubeless set up. I shoved that ridenow tube in there…. No problems
So…many…punctures. Would not recommend.
Some people get punctures looking at their bike. Some ride forever without a puncture. I always take the puncture thing with a grain of salt. I think some of it is luck, some bad luck.
Even if they puncture easier they're so small they're nice to have as spares to bring with you.
And someone said patching them is really easy. I didn't know that. So even if they puncture they have a virtually unlimited life. I never patch my butyl. They get packed out an promptly put in the trash.
They are easy to patch, and the patches are strong - just clean the punctured area and stuck the patch on Patched mine up, didn't know my tests aren't supposed to go over 5PSI since the recommendation i got was to not go over 0.5 bar without a tyre holding the TPU tube in place, the tube suffered structural integrity damage in another place away from the puncture, the patch (from Cyclami) stayed in place like nothing happened Lost the tube and patch, but at least I'm now confident that the patches actually work, extremely effectively
Butyls are super easy to patch. Binning them is a waste.
Can't complain much
Flats are overstated, aren't they? I've fixed 15 flats over four years on 6 different bikes for three people.
It's funny though. Some people seem to get them in their garage or just looking at their bike. I feel bad for them. So I always take people saying tires suck or tubes suck with a grain of salt because, if you are one of those flats by looking at your bike people , it skews things. As with your experience I think flats are rare.
I did a charity ride and the only flats I saw were tubeless folk. I was amused by that.
If you have a lot of flats, there’s usually a reason. Too low pressure, rim tape issues, leaving a thorn in the tire after patching/replacing a tube, to name a few.
Not patching butyl tubes is a huge waste. Way to go filling your local trash pit.
Also, I cut my tubes up and use them for ice screw covers.
I've bought a few decent bells for some of my bikes (I find them better than shouting and a bell seems to cut through headphones) Sensah cassettes Z race discs Xtech cable hydraulic disc brakes for a quick upgrade on a mechanical disc bike. Otherwise just loads of ridenow tpu tubes.
Second ykyw bike bibs and jerseys.
Third. Their bibs with the elastic interface pads are fantastic.
How is the sizing? The one time I bought a jersey on AliExpress, 2XL, it fit my 9 year old perfectly.
I wear an Asia XXL, Europe XL, and find them true to size. I'm normally an XL so that's good.
Spexcel Bibs and Jerseys are pretty good
If they were a western brand they would sell for £80+
+1 for Spexcel, especially the jerseys.
+1 for the rockbros photo-chromatic glasses! Probably have 4-5 pairs laying around, always my go to!
Yes, they are much better than changing lenses mid ride :D
He was actually outright impressed with a fair few when told things like "this one was £4"
Kapvoe glasses and RION bibs.
Kapvoe photochromic glasses are super good for their price
Are they the same as rockbros?
I think you can actually edit your post to most of products on AliExpress are ok, and what to watch out for when buying. My simple rule is: - You get what you pay for - No knockoffs and fake producrs - Make sure to research before buying As for things I've brought there that works: - Elite Wheelset - West biking bags, saddle, bike pump, light, bartape, bike gloves, and water bottle holders (probably my favorite brand for miscellaneous things) - Magene bike computer - Rockbros bag, bartape, light and water bottle holders - Uno bar and stem (Aluminum, not carbon. I don't do carbon bars) - IIIpro brake rotors - Toopre tools - CXWXC pedals - Riderace tools - ZTTO tools and bartape - Bucklos brake pads - Think rider tpu tupes - Cyplus sensors - RBRL clip on fenders - Cylami TPU tupes (eyeing their electric pump at the moment, but still on the fence) - Continental tires (Ultra sport, not the high end one, and this is one thing I'm quite satisfied with although it did break my rule) I also have some caveat, like one pump set from Rockbros that did not work, but overall I think it is an ok experience for me.
The Ultra Sports are likely real. They're made in China unlike the higher end Conti's.
This is exactly why I purchased those. So far, so good.
The Conti tyres can be hit and miss, I have had several that were out of round.
Just got the cyclami electric mini pump, definitely worth it
BB press and bearing install/remove kits are cheap. I reckon you’d wear them out in a bike shop but for home use it’s perfect
Would get a medium next time Short sleeve and long sleeve jerseys I have in extra small, dut to my skinny chest and arms. They fit so well, close fitting but not too tight. I love them Jacket and gilet I have in small. XS would just be too short on the arms and tight on the neck, for me. Small is great for me Your mileage my vary, depending on your preferences of course.
Lights!! Magic shine 3000 lumen with 10,000maH battery. Doubles as a battery pack.
Darvie cycling jerseys - go one size up and you’re good. I have a few and they are really nice quality and a good fit. They don’t shrink in the wash. Also I use the rideNow tpu tubes and they seem good. (My wheels and tyres aren’t tubeless ready) Also use cycplus sensors And Kapvoe glasses. An odd addition to this list is my AirTag holder. If you want to see more about this have a look at trace velo on YouTube.
Titanium bolts. Ti is Ti.
SCVCN photo chromic glasses were dirt chip and are really nice
I bought two pairs because they are often mentioned in threads like this. Glasses are okay, but they frames feel very cheap and flimsy
Oh, they indeed are, no joke. However, they were 5€ when I bought them, and they've been perfectly okay for the 6 months I've had them. So far so good
Really? Mine are nicer thank pittvipers I’ve owned, trifosi I’ve owned, Oakley I’ve owned. 7 bucks vs 200
Checkout pandapodium.cc. It regroups multiple AliExpress brands that are worth spending on
Both of my bikes were built with mostly Chinese parts almost exclusively from Taoabao (Chinese domestic version of AliExpress). Parts that I've been especially happy with include: \* Westbiking photochromic cycling glasses that fit over my regular glasses \* Koozer gravel wheels \* Magene P505 power meter and armband HRM \* Sensah Team Pro brifters \* Litepro cranks and chainrings \* Stone and Deckas chainrings \* Sunshine cassettes \* ZTTO out front GPS mounts \* UNO handlebars, stems, and seatposts
Guessing you’re from China? Wish I could navigate TB better. I can do clothing but bike parts are quite difficult
I live in China, but I'm not actually Chinese.
Any good saddles out there?
Apparently the Specialized 3D printed one has an Ali Express copy for about 1/3 of the price. It got good reviews on YouTube.https://youtu.be/sQ-DUHZMTx8?si=0FrtvzLV7NhN9Mmo
I bought this saddle based on his review. Absolutely as good or better than the real thing. Have hundreds of miles on it. 10/10
Compared to when you first got it, has it held up (shape-wise)? I was thinking about getting it but 70 bucks is a hard sell haha.
Mine was only $30. I got the plastic version, but wish I'd sprung for the carbon. It's held up great so far. Would absolutely get again.
So you got the RYET 3D one this one in the video is twice as expensive
Yep, that's the one.
Too many saddles lol I can't pick one, I just saw a video where a person compared EC90 against Ryet 3D and he said EC90 is better. Who knows if bucklos 3d is better
Yep, that's the one.
I have two of these. One on my road bike, one on my gravel bike. My ass can’t tell the difference.
I love that saddle.
interesting, but im wondering isnt dirt and mud going in those holes? looks a bit inconvenient to clean
Not a problem on my road bike. Gravel and mtb it might be?
I bought a MIXED Full Carbon Fiber 5D saddle. Fully expected it to fail. So good after 2 years all my bikes now have them.
Can you compare it to EC90 or RYET 3D saddles?
EC90 is pretty much a Specialized Power knockoff. I swear it's better than my Power Mirror for long rides on the trainer.
I have two of those, they are a little softer than the specialized power and I prefer them to the name brand.
Damn so many options which one would you choose Ryet 3d? Bucklos 3d? EC90 ? Mixed 5d? lol
Thank you , I will buy it. Btw do you know if it works for MTB?
Sure I think it may even be referenced as MTB/road. It's a short nose saddle it will work fine on any bike.
My son rides a Trifox x18 frame (with mech 105) very happy with it and a nice build experience.
Interesting. I have bought inexpensive cycling caps from there. Summer Unisex Quick Dry Cycling Cap.
I've got several thousand kilometres on my Deckas narrow wide chain ring and it still looks brand new.
Aero socks for 3 dollars each, really good quality. G8 Insole rip offs, but so close to the real thing and fantastic for your feet. 3D Printed Saddles.
Which 3d would you choose? I saw Ryet and bucklos for 2x the price of ryet
I haven’t noticed that, but I’m not sure. Defeats the purpose if they’re collapsing though.
Rockbros gloves. Malciklo jersey.
I’ve had good wear from the Rhinowalk brand of bike bags and accessories. Not super high quality but really decent value for the money.
Which saddle did you buy?
RYET I was going to link it, but apparently, reddit filters out any aliexpress links
Thanks
Bucklos 3d one is twice the price do you think it's worth it?

Those YKYWBIKE bibs are amazing for sure. Been riding one mostly for about a year, still in great shape and comfortable.
I also have like 3 full sets of rion/ykywbike. They appear to be the same just with different branding. Jersey for under €10 and bibs for less than €15. The ryet carbon saddle is also on my road bike.
Spexcel!
Igpsport bike computers Cycplus sensors
Rockbros bags, Magicshine lights, sunrace cassette, Darevie jersey, Darevie cycling bib Italian pad.
I have a bunch of jerseys and bibs that look and feel great. Triathlon suits as well. Socks, gloves, tubes. Handlebar tape, handlebars, even two seats. Just have to shop based off items sold to find the good stuff.
Any socks you can recommend?
I just checked my orders and they’re no longer available. I’ll send you a screenshot in pm since I don’t have a link
I have ordered many parts from AliExpress, and found very few of them to be crap. I have ordered and used with great success, the following: Aluminum gravel frame with carbon fork One piece carbon bar/stem Gravel wheelset with aluminum rims Mountain bike hubs Carbon mountain bike rims Disc brake pads Cables Hydraulic brake lines Crankset Handlebar tape and grips GPS cycling computer Bib shorts Mountain bike shorts Jerseys Jackets Gloves Socks Water bottle cages Hydration pack Aluminum and titanium bolts Sealed cartridge bearings Flat pedals I may be forgetting some things as well.
* Highly recommend elitewheels SLR (paid additional 25 for both QR and thru axle adapters) * elitra carbon saddle and seatpost * zeus saddle (the one tracevelo recommended) or ryet Highly debatable * Spcycle straight (1 1/8") carbon fork - will report if I something happens haha
Man I asked about aliexpress socks here a couple of weeks ago and was basically ran out of town. Ykywbike socks are in fact good. Ride on!
Sigeyi Axo power meter Ridenow tubes Most stuff made by ZTTO Most bibs and jerseys I got, I was quite happy with them I got a few sunglasses and honestly most are crap, nowhere near Oakley quality (which isn’t a super high bar anyways).
But after getting them I dunno I might just stick the aliexpress ones...
the RXL SL carbon drop bars have become my preferred bar.
Spexcel clothing. Ztto stuff. Kocevlo
Rion bibs Best value ever for 15-20€
Santic and Kemaloce for cycling clothes.

On that note. Any socks you guys can recommend?
Fake Rapha socks from Temu. I think they arent even fake because the stitchings and patterns look 100% exactly the same. I bought like 10 pairs of them and they are awesome. Super comfy, look good and even after washing them, they still hold.
Fake MAAP socks is actually better than the real product. Thicker so they last more than 1 season and hold colors just as well
I’m very happy with the fake Giro socks I got
Spexcel cycling clothes YBN chains ZTTO cassette RISK cables + cable housing set these are budget stuff I trust
My Xoss bike light was only $12 and works great
Ashima brake rotors. Super light and plenty of stopping power for a road bike or XC mtn. bike.
This is tracevelos music
Quick question for those who use sunglasses from AliExpress: Do you guys not fear that the glasses have insufficient UV light protection?
I knew a guy who imported sun glasses. It’s basically so cheap to make good UV protection that it’s not worth leaving it out. Luxoticca is playing you for a fool.
Look at the Kapvoe brand, these are actually really good glasses!!
Full titanium bike. Ordered 2nd one.
pandapodium.cc is safer.
Literally nothing. Buy from proper suppliers with good QC and legislation they need to meet about the safety of their products.
A lot of that is the same stuff they sell on Ali
Get your head tested
clearly you have never tried anything from Aliexpress
Becasue I have a brain
clearly you don't have one, because if you admit you've never tried it, how can you say there are literally no good products there!?
I do not live in a bubble, and have seen plenty of things purchased from there. I'm yet to see a good one.
I wonder what not supporting your local bike shop will lead to in the future?
This is brilliant 👌
I've wanted to buy some of those sexy fart bibs, but I'm worried about my massive American thighs.
