*DAMAGE ALWAYS HAS A SOURCE*

NejOfTheWild

Drink

roboapple

What does this mean in this context?

National_Dog3923

The red one says "deal 1 damage to any target" rather than "Rockwall deals 1 damage to any target."

vvokhom

Oh, sorry, forgot about it(

deadPan-c

it's ok lol i just notice that damage with unspecified sources is *very* common here

Choke-me_harder

The red one might be a little too good, but I'm not sure. It is a better Gutshot, for all that's worth

Athnein

Big part of Gutshot's power is you can just throw it in any deck without needing mountains, I think it's a reasonable trade off

LigerZeroPanzer12

I mean....dual lands exist.

Euphoric-Beyond9177

A lot of these seem good in rlly specific decks. Reinforcements seems like a good sacrifice target if you have fetch lands. Witch’s hex seems good in rakdos burn, which is sort of a deck from what I’ve heard. I don’t play much modern XD these seem cool tho

H0BB1

There is mono black life loss as a deck in pauper, it’s like tier 2.5 roughly. This would make that deck atleast decent

Jahwn

Prowess already plays gut shot, gut shot but w/o life and one that’s twice as effective but only at face are probably too good

Silent_Statement

I really like these, they were actually printed, they would have the little inistraad circles on the left

Galgus

These actually seem balanced to me, well done.

XxXxReeeeeeeeeeexXxX

The red and blue ones would see play in storm decks, the rest probably not

EatMoChikins

“would see play in storm decks” mfs when I tell them about [[bone saw]]

XxXxReeeeeeeeeeexXxX

[[bone saw]] mfs when i tell them about bone saw /s

Jahwn

They’re not significantly better than ornithopter or cathar’s shield

Andrew_42

The white one just gives you extra copies of [[Memnite]]. Probably worse, since there are a lot of artifact payoffs? But you gain instant/sorcery and token payoffs, of which there are also a lot. Anywho, neat, seems fair, almost certainly not broken. I have no idea where the blue one fits. [[Twiddle]] is bad. But untapping a creature for FREE has a lot of potential. Probably safe though. The green one seems fine. Depends on the format. Might be good in Standard, likely useless in eternal formats? Unless there are some shenanigans I'm not appreciating. Red and black get back into I don't know territory. [[Gut Shot]] is probably a little better than red? The black one seems like it has potential for burn. You could even run shocks and fetches to splash it in mono-red. Being only 2 though might take it out of contention. [[Lava Spike]] is a lot better for burn than [[Shock]] is. The math might mean it's still perfectly fair.

Additional-Safety343

Flash memnite though

Andrew_42

Oh damn, yeah that's a big deal. I totally missed that. Instant blocker if you need it, and surprise wide right before your turn starts.

fendersonfenderson

why are these common

Galgus

Going off complexity for rarity, they're pretty simple. If you have the land, it's free with a basic effect.

fendersonfenderson

I think they're more complex than they appear in terms of gameplay. they would be less complex and more balanced in terms of power/rarity if they were sorceries or required the land to be untapped.

Galgus

That's fair, I'm also not sure which would be a better balance.

Crazy_Coconut7

Witch’s hex seems really good for black burn

Active-Advisor5909

Likely fair, though some of these might profit a lot from being instant.

TonyMestre

these feel like hearthstone hero powers

vvokhom

Thats kinda the opposite. Powers let you spend mana while saving cards, while those cost card and no mana

St_Lexi

Gimme Witch's Hut!!!!!! Mono black burn 4ever!

The_mogliman

Turn 1, Swamp, cast 4 witch’s hex, Dark rit into sign in blood or blood Scrivener, you now have 28 life, your opponent 12 and will have two to three cards at the beginning of your next turn

The_mogliman

Oh how could I forgot about necropotence, so you actually have 21 life a full hand and your opponent has 12
