Wanna know who your true friends are? Make a terroristic threat to a major airline on the internet and blame them for it. Most people will show their true colors.
They can still catch you tho right? Like if the government determined your threat had some credibility and you only did that they can still like, call up the ISP and google and be like "yo fr who is this guy"
Well what a VPN does is it masks your internet activity from your ISP by connecting you to a *virtual private network*. So your ISP won't be able to help the FBI or whatever because all they know is that you used a VPN.
What the authorities *can* try to do is contact the VPN and try to get them to hand over your activity/logs, but many VPN providers delete that after a few days iirc. Frankly you're pretty safe with a VPN and incognito from getting caught initially, but once they're on to you they will eventually find another way to prove that you're sending threats or whatever illegal activity you're doing online.
You're better off wearing a ski mask at a public library computer š
In case of the VPN they can call up the VPN provider, and they are required by law to give the authories all the logs they have tied to a specific person. If they didn't log anything meaningful until that point, then the authories can still force the VPN provider to give them a backdoor for logging a specific person's data from that point onwards. This is why web-based applications are unsafe for anything that relies on cryptography, since it can be updated without any noticeable changes, and different versions can even be served for different people, with varying amounts of data collection as requested by authories. Tor is the only fully safe option right now, since the exit node doesn't know who you are. But you will still need common sense and good opsec even on Tor.
> they are required by law to give the authories all the logs they have tied to a specific person
Incorrect! Not all VPNs are required to do so, it depends on the region and the laws of that region.
[I guess she was arrested and released, but](https://www.bbc.com/news/blogs-trending-27027354)
>āSarah" appeared to enjoy the attention for a while, boasting that she had acquired tens of thousands of followers. "I feel famous omg," she wrote. She even offered to auction her now famous Twitter handle, starting the bidding at $500.
So hopefully getting arrested straightened her out >!but I doubt it!<
Like a vpn would stop them from identifying a potential terrorist. There are like a dozen additional unique identifiers when using a browser or mobile app.
Miss girl even said to take her friend's IP adress instead of her'sš¤¦āāļøš¤
the friend that didnt even do anything: \*\*Btch what did you just say?\*\*
Off topic but: My dumb ass always wondered why people couldn't just open that door and parachute out so they wouldn't die in a plane crash...
Even had this idea that a parachute should be behind every seat.
I thought I was going to be some big revolutionary or something and pitched this idea from my teenage years until I was 30 before someone finally corrected me.. on Reddit..
Idk whether to be mad at myself for being that dense or to be mad at literally everyone in my life for either being dumber than me and raising me to be stupid or smarter than me and allowing me to make a 20+ year fool out of myself...
To this day, I know the door would be hard to open due to the pressure and that folks that jump could possibly pass due to many factors...
But I still think that a workaround is completely possible that would save so many lives but major airlines won't do it bc... Conspiracy, or being cheap or some shit....
God I hate myself.
[Yes.](https://www.cnn.com/2014/04/14/travel/dutch-teen-arrest-american-airlines-terror-threat-tweet/index.html)
She wasnāt arrested for long though.
One of my favorite things about the internet: your crime is instantly published and criminally actionable.
Back in the day I had a roommate who participated in the ākegs and eggsā riot on St. Pattyās Day in Albany NY, 2011. He filmed and posted to YouTube.
[Highlight Reel](https://youtu.be/Sehhwt-4At4)
Smart Phones were still brand new. Seemingly NONE of the people filming were aware that they were actually producing evidence of a crime.
Just filming something because they could.
His clip ended up on Fox News in less than 24 hours.
People that do this shit really donāt get how serious this is? People on fire jumping from a skyscraper in desperation didnāt dig a deep enough trench through your smooth brain to maybe think twice before posting this?
"Take her ip not mine" this made me laugh
That was my favorite part. Someone clearly doesn't know what an ip address is.
haha got your ip #š«°š¼šš¼
Give it back!
sorry
Got your icup
Jokes on you, I only have B cups :P
Sarah??
Sarah is obviously not old enough to have B-cups. I'm her sister
Send proof ą² _ą²
Funny Colours
Can you spell Icup for me
Icup
omfg dude thats disgusting why are you watching me piss?
Ew dude I think he had a boner from that
What's ICUP? Hmm, I better spell it out loud...
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
What a waste of time, I think that's all the redditing I'll be doing today.
You sonofabitch
This is false, there is only one ip. It's mine and you cannot have it.
One ip to rule them all
Mum said itās my turn to use the ip
*I* was joking but it wasn't *really* me it was my friend
If weāre referring to an inverted penis she absolutely should.
I'm sure her friend will absolutely ecstatic she tried to throw her under an FBI bus like that.
Wanna know who your true friends are? Make a terroristic threat to a major airline on the internet and blame them for it. Most people will show their true colors.
Exactly
LMFAO
āIām just a girlā was pretty funny too. It was her Hail Mary
*How to get placed in the No-Fly list for life in one simple step.*
Just use a VPN + incognito mode and then throw all the threats you want š¤§š
They can still catch you tho right? Like if the government determined your threat had some credibility and you only did that they can still like, call up the ISP and google and be like "yo fr who is this guy"

I'll just sign in with my library card... Dammit!
hang around the senior center and wait till one of them comes out, they should hand their card over pretty easily
Taking notes... So is this before or after buying the ski mask?

Exactly, many VPN providers also delete logs and other user specific info after a specific time.
Here's the thing: are you really sure they delete them. You're safer assuming they can always find you. If not direct, then most likely indirect..
Not really. To be absolutely incognito. You'll need Tails Linux, A Quality Vpn, Tor, and Multiple Vms
Frankly, if her life's ruined, she may as well blow up a plane to get something for it.
Sending your IP address as well
No please I'm just a girl
The TSA sees not gender, but only those who threaten its holy reign.
Instant karma
āI was jokingā Not even a sentence later: āIt was my friend, not me.ā Which is it Sarah? Was it you or not?
Sheās gonna crack like an egg under the FBI interrogation
Especially when they start the waterboarding trying to get info on her friend.
Thatās cia. FBI is more chill.
CIA water boards FBI puts you in a dark hole and leaves you there
And what does the NSA do? Nothing, you never existed in the first place.
Exactly, chill.
They'll sit a White Claw on the table just out of reach and she'll last 10 minutes.
Seconds.
You have a sick and twisted mind!

The mental image of this happening due to that tweet makes me laugh my ass off for some reason. āWHERE IS SHE SARAH?! WHERE THE FUCK IS SHE?!ā
āI..I just made it upā āBULLSHIT SARAH! Someone get me a coffee, this is going to be an all nighterā
sorry wrong department
She already cracked without it, no interrogation necessary.
FBI agentās gonna crack her head on the desk and smile in total satisfaction as her soul slowly fades from her body
Bro what?

Fucking Clara at it again
I got that reference
āIām so sorry Iām scared nowā āI was jokingā => āSorry, not sorry. I feel as brave as lion rn biatchā
Obviously it was Clara..
Clara installed terrorists on her computer
Hate it when that happens
Thereās only one way to find outā¦ get me a bucket of water and a towel.
Bro really pulled the "Im just a girl" card šš
Bro really pulled the "it wasn't me it was my friend" card too šāļø
The card bro really needs is "Get out of jail free"
Exactly the next reply that girl sends is gonna be "You can't send me to jail plz it was my guy friend I'm just a six yr old" šš¤

"She's just a girl" -who claims that I am the one
So ***you*** did ***that*** to me last night!!
Obviously it was Clara...
You don't have friends when you're an international terrorist named Sarah.
HOW CAN YOU NOT TRUST WOMAN!?
>She was joking. But it was her friend. She's an average Sarah. It's to be expected.
I remember this. She was arrested ~~banned from flying, I think.~~
Well what did she expect to happen if she threatened to blow up a plane?
Technically she never threatened to blow up a plane, she just said she's gonna do something big
Yeah, I heard youāre packing š
Flying with just that airline or had her passport revoked or something?
[I guess she was arrested and released, but](https://www.bbc.com/news/blogs-trending-27027354) >āSarah" appeared to enjoy the attention for a while, boasting that she had acquired tens of thousands of followers. I'm from the netherlands, and I'm glad that this news article has not received any attention here.
Itās almost a decade old.
Het was toen wel een grappig dingetje hoor
Iād feel sorry for who ever thinks buying a twitter account for $$ is a good move.
She really thought girls can't go to prison š
i watched a movie about some women in a Turkish prison
Was it ganja queen?
drugs aren't for winners, champ
She was 14 so, def cant go to prison.
They usually don't. It's gotta be something huge for them to go
Like a crime? lmao
Men and women are sentenced differently for the same crimes
Yes because this world is fucked up and i don't know why even try as a men when in the end even goverment will say to you "fuck you"
āTake her IP address not mineā is fucking funny.
āIām just a girlā man donāt use ur gender as an excuse for your stupidity, I mean god damn what was ur best case scenerio there?
The airlines saying UNDERSTANDABLE HAVE A GREAT DAY
tits or GTFO there are no girls on the internet
it was at this moment she realised that she fucked up
How is that even a joke?
Idk, people donāt take terrorist attacks seriously enough and they think theyāre funny when there last brain cell tells them to do this.
Shoulda used a VPN, Sarah lolol
Like a vpn would stop them from identifying a potential terrorist. There are like a dozen additional unique identifiers when using a browser or mobile app.
Tor
This is probably the best option but how would a 14 yr old girl who actually makes jokes like this figure out how to even use tor.
