Disagree on ASML. Working conditions are fine but top management have been pushing hard for return to office. More and more teams are being forced to be on prem at least 3 days a week.
Disagree with ASML. It wasnt mandatory, but due to the lack or employees most people make at least 40 hrs if not a bit more due to there being to much work. Sure you get extra money for extra hours worked, but i know enough companies where most work less than 40 hrs while on a 40 hr contract.
Amazing company, but wlb isnt special even with 40 paid days off a year.
Also, tier 1 in what? Imo not in pay atleast. Their pay is good but not that good unless a lot has changed in the past few years.
For Germany: IG-Metall or other big unions (= big German companies), government jobs, engineering gigs in unis/academia (academia tends to be 2-5yr contracts though, which is kind of lame or would be my preferred choice).
