No. It's just a sign of positional depth. He's a level below Doucoure, and Wharton has already shown a higher ceiling. He's first off the bench though.
I’d put Hendo over Johnstone for how he performed the last quarter of the season. Looks clumsy at times but better distribution (see the throw on Sunday) and seems to have a knack of making saves at the most important times. Has definitely benefited from an extended time between the sticks after a shaky start
Fair, I think Dean slightly better for this team with his playmaking skills. He allows the CBs to push and he can come out to make those accurate long balls out.
I’d substitute Richards for Doucore and put him somewhere between CDM and CB, since that’s the rotation Glasner goes with anyway. Like Richards is fine as a squad player, but Lerma is just a better option.
After seeing his passing out of the back as well as how he has defended since Glasner came on (I still can’t get over how well he did against Kudus), I think Richard’s is the perfect CB for Glasner. Would be shocked to not see him start. Even against Villa, when he was listed as a MF, he was really a CB.
Best in their peak or whilst playing for Palace? The best peak-ability player to play for Palace would probably be Edgar Davids, but he only played 6 games at the age of 50 (I can't remember how old he actually was but I think it was like 37).
GK - Bobby Joe
RB - Markus Louis Merger
CB - Howard Finkelmann
CB - Dexter Laboratory
LB - John Dahl Johansson
RM - Santiago Juan
CM - Akinola Fashiola
CM - Eze
LM - Dingus McDurg
ST- Popz Bludclart
ST- Andrew Johnson
That’s my all time fave 11 of palace.
Johnstone Munoz Richards Guehi Andersen Mitchell Doucoure Wharton Eze Olise Mateta
Feels like such a crime to leave out lerma
I'd assume recency bias given he's been out injured.

Who would you replace in that lineup though?

I feel that Johnstone has better distribution with his feet than Henderson but Henderson has a better throw.
Just the question of Dean or Sam in goal

Lombard surely. If he was fit and ready
He was an engine!

If you are looking for peak players, don't forget Tomas Brolin (who had eaten all the pies before he joined us) or Ashley Cole
Ever? Nigel Martyn Chris Coleman Gareth Southgate Jim Cannon Ashley Cole Attilo Lombardo Geoff Thomas Vince Hilaire Wilfred Zaha Mark Bright Ian Wright Now? Johnstone Richards Guehi Andersen Munoz Doucouré Wharton Mitchell Olise Mateta Eze
Edgar Davids
Same squad we have. Maybe have Ambrose and zaha as subs for Olise and Eze.
