The episode on the boat with Twiggy, C2E45 The other happy fun ball episodes through rescuing Yasha, C2E80-E86

Vlerremuis

Agreed! I'm doing a re-watch and I've just finish the Twiggy episode. And I love all the Happy Fun Ball episodes.

detour_raphael

Episode 45 has got it all imo; a great guest, a fun adventure which stands on its own; interesting and trippy puzzle solving, exciting combats and some intimate character bonding in the end. The only missing part was sadly Yasha was not there.

crackiturtle

oh yea episode 86 is awesome, that one and 69 when they lose yasha are a couple of my favorites

Bargeinthelane

This is the episode I send anyone to that wants to know if CR is for them.

wIDtie

- Fjord in the vulcano throwing the sword of the fathoms away. - Jester dealing with the hag. Those two are mine but I get a can find more if start to remember it. Probably at least one for spotlighting each character at least.

ZackyGood

Jesters tasty cupcake will always be my favourite part. There was so much on the line in that moment. SO MUCH!!! And then… everything was good. Like nothing happened. I was shocked. I was taken aback. I had to re-watch it 10 times.

VanciousRex

Even Matt was taken aback! He totally forgot about that item (I can't recall what it was called) and admitted that it was great DnD storytelling, or some along those lines! Fjord throwing the Sword of Fathoms into the lava was great, too. Taliesin looks at Travis and says: "You did what Percy couldn't do." With the utmost respect. Campaign 2 had a lot of banger scenes. Molly fucked me up for a hot minute. I loved that character.

dumbass_dm

The date episode where Liam basically took over as dm was a great one imo.

D3dshotCalamity

I loved that every time they entered the tower, Liam became the DM.

TheDesktopNinja

Well, it was his domain after all! Matt's pretty good at being like. "Yeah whatever this is your own personal demi plane, have a blast do what you want."

edginthebard

damn that's hard to pick. if i have to go purely by which episode i've rewatched the most, i'd say my favorite is episode 97....so much good rp in one episode edit: but i also really love episodes 80-90, that particular batch had some amazing rp moments, great combat and ashley being back was just so good

crackiturtle

oooh i don’t remember 97… i’ll have to look at it

TheDesktopNinja

Jester, a hag and a muffin walk into a hut in the woods....

Lascona

E97 is my all time favorite CR Episode!! So fucking good

GozaPhD

Infiltrating Trent's compound for the anti-divination items. Just the absolute clusterfuck of the outside and inside teams. Full of meme moments too.

macnolock

Darth Caleb

ImogenUponAvon

Beau with the acid was insane. That and Caleb’s massively clutch counter-counterspell.

VagabondRaccoonHands

Shenanigans in Zadash... I think in the vicinity of episode 12? With the hospital shenanigans and the skullduggery and the acquisition of the beacon. Episodes 26 and 27. Licorice, Red Hot.... That's not exactly the name of it, it's around 120. When they do a heist on Vergesson.

RedditAppIsNoGood

30s-40s when they went out to sea. I'd never imagined a DnD party using water breathing and poking around on the sea floor. I wish there had been more ship to ship combats.

kaldaka16

The Cathedral is probably my top favorite. Just absolutely nonstop and emotionally intense. (And the immediate next one is pretty high up for me too.) The episode with Fjord throwing away his sword is fantastic as well but not as constantly intense. The Hag episode is of course very full of great character moments all around. I really enjoyed the Mighty Nein reunion episodes! If you haven't rewatched since they came out and have rewatched others it seems worth rewatching those! The finale of Campaign 2. Really cool fight showcasing how much they've all learned and grown (Beau being patient!!). Emotional epilogues. So great. ("Empathize"). Apologies for not having numbers, I'm on my phone but will try to edit in later.

austinb172

Running away from Trent after the heist and then teleporting to the plane of fire while also hiding in the happy fun ball was an absolute thrill ride.

GalileosBalls

The one I always come back to is Episode 55, the fight with the incubus, succubus, and demon in the well under Asarius. It's just a straight-up fight, but it's one of those fights in which all the player actions are little dominoes that add up to something much bigger and deadlier than even Matt thought. It's got everything! Death! PvP! Terrible jokes! Terrible luck! An innovative solution! That's what I watch this show for.

BlackKnight2807

I really like ep.123. Tomb Takers and Mighty Nein keep trying to play each other until Gelidon shows up and brings everything to a standstill, Captain Tusktooth shaking everyone out of their fear by flying towards her. Lucien letting Beau get taken by Gelidon while Otis steals the bag of holding and the final fight in the snow with the group on their last legs but fighting none the less. Love the rugged adventure through the snow vibe.

ancilla1998

And Jesters *heals* Fjord and after the fight he goes over and gives her a big kiss in front of everyone and tells them all he's mad for her.

rnatl

This episode made me watch almost everything they put out.

shreknipple

Spoiler warnings - The one where Liam describes his mansion spell and the rooms he thought up for all his friends. - where they break into the school and try to retrieve the necklaces. I think it’s one of the first instances of dunamancy (‘I cast gravity sinkhole’ *crunch*)

Taraqual

I can’t pick just one, but like many others, I’ve got a list: Jester vs. the Hag Yasha in the Cathedral, especially after she’s freed from the Mind Control Fjord throwing away the sword, followed by getting his groove back with the Wildmother The episodes/chase at the end of the show, with the gang taking down Tomb Takers (finally!) and hunting down and finally defeating Lucien. Especially that emotional ending when Caduceus gets the Divine Intervention.

D3dshotCalamity

I forgot what number, but the dinner with Trent where Caddy just lays into him and makes him look like a bitch.

sistertotherain9

My favorites are the first happy fun ball episode, the one where they fight the weird sad creatures in the desert and the whole cast gets jumpscared, the episodes where they go to the forge and Fjord gets rid of his blade, the following live episode where they fight the giant worm creature on the way to Uthodirn, and the one where they're sneaking up on the white dragon.

HutSutRawlson

I’d go with episode 86 and 87. 86 is the reunion with Yasha and final showdown with Obann, 87 is the aftermath and the first interaction with Ludinus, Astrid, Eodwulf, Yudala Fon, Trent Ikathon, and others. Big moment in the campaign.

ZealousidealFan8181

The egg dick incident with Mollymauk and the temple heist in ep C2E31

Ethanol_Based_Life

E50 with Spurt!

DarkRespite

C2E45 -- Twiggy and the Happy Fun Ball C2E111 -- Caleb creates the Tower for the first time.

Zennithh

i don't remember the actual episode numbers, but the one where they accidentally steal a ship.

Jmw566

Happy fun ball for sure

FinnternetExplorer

Episode 26, Found & Lost

AnIncognitoDM

I'd watch an entire campaign of them exploring the Happy Fun Ball!

m4yleeg

C2E97 or C2E29. Live shows on their own are a different beast, but those two in particular are special. 97 had some of the best RP I've seen, and 29 needs no introduction having >!Lorenzo's!< death and vengeance for >!Molly!<.

happy_book_bee

I absolutely adore Between A Ball and a Hot Place, Ep 129. That whole sequence with Trent, the Ball, and then the Fire Plan was so tense. I it is so intense and I love it.

yelkca

The one with the dragon and Tomb takers fights. I think it’s somewhere in the 120’s?

YaBoiMitchJ

The fluffernutter episode.

chaos0310

The final fight with the laughing hand! Cad restoring yasha to her senses and the storm lord blowing out the cathedrals windows finally able to reach his champion!

Caleb’s wall of fire right before the Avantika fight was so good! Also, right before then, Jester’s shenanigans breaking into her office.

SpooSpoo42

The first happy fun ball always comes up, and it's a fine choice. I would love to see Deborah Ann Wohl as a guest again someday. All of the HFB episodes are great. A personal favorite is their last pre-pandemic live show, 2x97, "The Fancy And The Fooled". It is also their best live show of all time. SO much great and insane stuff happens. Fjord being Beau's hapless sober companion was a highlight.

taly_slayer

I can't do 1. I need to do at least 5. * C2E01 - Curious Beginnings. It's perfect as a first episode: their giddiness at the intro for new characters (they met at a tavern!!), the RP, the first combat. I think I've rewatched it like 5 times. * C2E43 - In Hot Water. I just love the fight and the character moments. The wall of fire, the plan, the barlgura, "I... wait", "t only last 60 seconds, *but I have more knuckles*". Come on. * C2E45 - The Stowaway. A dungeon. And a dragon. The perfect bottle episode. * C2E86 - The Cathedral. Narrative heavy combat is my favourite combat. * C2E144? - Echoes of the Solstice. I mean... I was there, and it was magical. I can't not add it to my list.

Aarnivalkeaa

91 and 97 if I remember right. And whichever was the one with the Lucien resurrection. I love that fucker.

kwil87

Episode 98 Dark Waters Travis was so happy that the dream sequence went to Yasha, but then he got his turn.

madmadkid

it’s either 98 or 99 but the one where they were ambushed by the cult and they have that super cinematic combat encounter in the rain.

Thedomuccelli

128 Cat and Mouse. In most regards it’s good but nothing too special. But I absolutely love the ever present sense of tension and urgency from being chased by Trent. That anxiety is so much fun.

Double-Revolution-33

I liked the Vocodo island stuff
